Ethan said this to his mother.
Seeing that his mother had already developed white hairs from frequently working overtime as an accountant, Ethan couldn’t help feeling sorry for her.
“No, we can’t.
My salary alone isn’t enough to support you two little troublemakers.
If we work for another ten years, your father and I should have enough savings to return to China and spend the rest of our lives there.
By then, if you and Chloe want to stay here, you can stay.
If you don’t, you can come back to China with us.”
“We’ll find you a nice wife, buy you a house, and then you can find a job.
That’ll be enough.”
Emily Chen continued washing the vegetables as she spoke to Ethan.
“Why work another ten years?
Didn’t Dad say last time that he wanted to start his own logistics company?
Logistics companies in America are so terrible.
It should be easy to establish one, right?”
Ethan looked at his mother.
“You think starting a company in America is that easy?
Especially when we’re Chinese-Americans.
Without the right connections, even if your logistics service is faster than everyone else’s, nobody will give you their goods to transport.”
Emily Chen sighed.
Ethan didn’t say anything after hearing that.
He silently returned to the sofa and watched television, but his mind was already working.
‘I have money, but just like Mom said, money isn’t enough without connections.
I can only make contact with Tony ahead of schedule.’
Ethan helplessly looked at Chloe sitting beside him.
She was hugging one of his arms and kneading the paw pad in his palm while staring intently at SpongeBob SquarePants on the television.
He was just about to say something to her when the sound of the front door opening came from nearby.
“That must be Dad!”
The moment she heard the sound, Chloe immediately jumped off the sofa and ran toward the entrance.
As soon as Daniel opened the door, he saw the petite figure running toward him from the living room.
His slightly exhausted face immediately broke into a genuine smile.
He opened his arms and caught Chloe as she rushed over, then spun around with her in his arms.
“Did you miss Daddy, my little sweetheart?”
“I did!
I think about Daddy every day!”
Chloe lifted her adorable little face and planted a big kiss on Daniel’s cheek.
“That’s my good girl.
Just what I’d expect from Daddy’s little sweetheart.”
Daniel kissed Chloe’s cheek as well before putting her down and walking into the house.
Ethan was also happy to see his father home.
He smiled and ran to the entrance, then picked up the shoes Daniel had just taken off and placed them in the shoe cabinet.
“Hey, good boy.
Have you been taking good care of the ladies of the house?”
Daniel gave Ethan a big hug and asked with a smile.
“Of course.”
A faint smile appeared on Ethan’s usually expressionless face.
Daniel then went into the kitchen and spent a few minutes with his wife before coming back out.
He sat down on the sofa and smiled as he watched Ethan and Chloe, but before long, he fell asleep.
Seeing how exhausted his father was made Ethan even more determined to contact Tony ahead of time and use his connection with Tony to help his father start a company.
After dinner, Ethan stopped his mother when she was about to clear the dishes.
“Dad, Mom, why don’t you both quit your jobs?”
“What?”
His parents had been curious about what their son wanted to tell them, especially since he was being unusually serious.
Neither of them had expected him to say something that startled them so much.
“Ethan, do you have some kind of plan?”
Daniel asked curiously.
He knew that unless there was some special circumstance, his usually steady son wouldn’t suddenly say something like this.
“Yes.
Dad, Mom, I’ll tell you the truth.
I’m actually very rich!”

Ethan, where did you get that money?
How come we didn’t know about this?”
“Dad, Mom, listen.
I’ll explain everything to you slowly.”

Harry Potter himself also entered Hogwarts at the age of eleven.
This made the public believe that the series was simply a child’s beautiful fantasy about the world, which only made people even more curious about Harry Potter and its legendary young author.
As a result, the mysterious author, Ethan, became known as the child with the most innocent and imaginative fantasies.
One Harry Potter book had been released every year, and by now, six books had already been published.
The films had also reached the fourth instalment.
Ethan had accumulated a considerable fortune as well.

“I have plenty of old friends who drive trucks with me.
We can hire them as well.
