The thug didn’t get to finish.
He suddenly realised that he was the only one left.
His companions had disappeared.
Still frozen in fear, the thug hadn’t even figured out what had happened when he saw the boy appear in front of him in an instant.
The boy casually waved his hand at him.

“Hannah, it’s so late.
Why aren’t you home yet?”
“Oh, I’m at a classmate’s house right now.
I’ll be home soon.”

Gwen’s house?
It’s so late.
Why don’t you just sleep there tonight?
It’s not safe to come home this late.”
“No, I’m not at Gwen’s house.
I’m at another classmate’s house.”
“You have another classmate?

could it be?
Did you get yourself a boyfriend?”

You finally found a boyfriend!”
“Then stay there and get some proper rest.

After hanging up, Ethan held the phone and smiled at Hannah.
Hannah was still staring at him blankly, her face filled with disbelief.

She became so embarrassed that she wanted to crawl underneath the bed.
Seeing Hannah’s adorable reaction, Ethan slowly walked over to her.
“My name is Ethan Chen.
I’m Chinese-American, and I just graduated from middle school.
What about you?”
Hannah hesitated for a moment before answering.
“My name is Hannah.
Hannah Marks.
I just graduated from middle school too.”
“How could you lie to my mother like that just now?”
Seeing that Hannah had gradually calmed down, Ethan decided to strike while the iron was hot.
He wanted to win her over tonight.
“I didn’t lie to your mother.”
“I really did fall for you the moment I saw you.”

Will you be my girlfriend?”
Ethan stared directly into Hannah’s eyes.
