“Wow.

I might have to revise my opinion of this guy.”

Jonah Jameson of the Daily Bugle had never been Johnny’s favorite media personality.

The man was stubborn, loud, and loved a fight.

But hearing him go this hard in defense of his little brother shifted things a bit.

In truth, even though JJJ attacked almost everyone, he had genuine respect for real merit and justice.

He admired heroes who actually got the job done.

The one he attacked the most was Spider-Man, and that wasn’t out of pure hatred.

He wanted the mask off.

JJJ’s wife had been killed by a masked man.

In his mind a superhero could only stay honest if the public could see their face and hold them accountable.

Today you save people while masked.

Tomorrow you could rob them while masked.

If nobody knows who you are, there’s no real weight to your actions.

Whether he had fully thought through the risks heroes faced after going public was another question.

But Wayne was different.

The kid had actually saved the world, operated completely in the open, never hid his identity, and used that kind of power to do the right thing at such a young age.

That combination hit every one of JJJ’s buttons.

So the current scene made perfect sense: JJJ tearing into every other major outlet at full volume.

He was irritable, but he was never a coward.

In other timelines even the Green Goblin choking him and threatening his life hadn’t been enough to make him sell out Spider-Man.

“Even this old man is backing my brother this hard.”

Johnny pulled out his phone and opened his social media app.

“Well, I can’t just sit here and do nothing.”

He immediately opened the group titled “Superman Fan Support Group.” That’s right.

The official head of Wayne’s fan club was Johnny himself.

He glanced at the glaring number on his own account: 153.79 million followers.

The corner of his mouth slowly curled up.

That was the fanbase he had painstakingly built.

Because DC Comics existed in this world, “Superman” already had a massive following.

Add Wayne’s face, which looked like it had been designed by a god, plus everything he had done over the years, and the numbers had gone completely insane.

Over 150 million fans in the United States alone.

Nearly 60 million of them were hardcore, borderline-fanatic.

And that was just America.

Johnny’s global video account had more than 1.2 billion followers.

The only real regret was that Wayne refused to cooperate on content.

At best Johnny could film scraps of daily life.

If the actual Superman had been willing to appear on camera, those numbers would have been even more ridiculous.

Wayne’s activities spanned the entire planet, but the Bio-force field kept most people from getting close.

Johnny had discovered that even ordinary clips of Wayne just living his life still got ridiculous engagement.

Wayne simply wasn’t interested.

No matter how much Johnny pestered him, the video output stayed low.

After a quiet sigh, Johnny started posting.

[Superman’s Charismatic Big Brother: Hey!

Everyone!

Johnny here!]

[Superman’s Charismatic Big Brother: Those bastards who talk out of their assholes have really broken our Superman’s heart… My brother still hasn’t come out of his room.

Looks like he’s cried his eyes out.]

[Superman’s Charismatic Big Brother: My poor brother!

Today is his birthday and they’re treating him like this!]

The small stone Johnny threw kicked up a tidal wave.

Within seconds the comment section exploded.

Johnny managed to catch a few posts in the flood and watched the demands escalate at terrifying speed:

“Demand an explanation from them” → “Organize a protest march” → “Why not just blow up their building”

When he saw people already coordinating actual building demolitions and ambushes, Johnny scrambled to calm everyone down.

He finally managed to stop the chaos with one line:

“Superman wouldn’t want you to do this.”

“Fuck!”

A few cold drops of sweat appeared on Johnny’s forehead.

He had almost become the first superhero in history to go to prison for inciting a riot.

[Superman’s Charismatic Big Brother: Alright, alright, we’re all civilized people.

We just want justice, right?]

[Can’t fit into the vent: WE HAVE TO GET JUSTICE FOR SUPERMAN RN 🔥🔥 those media goobers keep pushing the “Superman is a threat” conspiracy theory every damn day like it’s their job.

Bro if Superman actually wanted to he would’ve already heat-visioned their entire studio straight up the ass and called it a Tuesday.

Absolute clowns.]

[The vent is hot: frfr instead of running that garbage 24/7 they should check if there’s anyone named Lois working over there.

I’m just saying.

Coincidence?

I think not.]

[E+ is really tired: Speaking of which I actually AM named Lois.

Maybe this is destiny calling?

Submitting my Daily Bugle application first thing tomorrow morning, wish me luck I’m going full main character arc!!!!!!!!!]

[Wishing Superman likes flat ones: the person above is actually dreaming lmao]

[Loli is the truth: no the person above is CORRECT.

If anyone’s going it should be me.

Changing my name to Lois in the system RIGHT NOW.

Watch this.]

[Wishing Superman is copper: Just got out of prison last week.

All you women are delusional as hell.

I’M the one Superman personally threw in last time.

He looked me dead in the eyes and said “Go back to your cell and pick up the soap!

Little loli!” That was 100% a hint.

I know what I heard.]

[Hate M size: I seriously don’t get why any of you like this Superman.

If you’re gonna stan one, stan Clark.

What the hell is this knock-off even??]

[Hate “Hate M size”: anyone know where the person above lives?

Going offline to deliver some extremely personal love ❤️]

[Believer of the God of Earth: @Hate M size I like Clark too but I also like this real Superman.

Last flood season he saved my whole family, set us down on the roof, and left before I could even say thank you.

I genuinely cannot understand hating him.

Same as Clark, pure hope with a side of “I will yeet your problems into the sun.”]

[Hate M size: BULLSHIT.

Superman told me to my face he was a more MAN Superman than Clark, then he brought my failed test papers AND my dad to the door and my ass still hurts.

That’s not what a real man does, that’s emotional terrorism.]

[Follower of the Son of Tomorrow: the person above clearly hasn’t done enough research.

Or any research.

Or opened a book.

Or looked at a calendar.

Fuck you N!gg@!!]

[Hate “Hate M size”: @Hate M size decided.

Applying to be a teacher RIGHT NOW.

Which school are you at?

Teacher wants to give you some very special after-school love.]

[Hate M size: And I only cursed him a little while drawing with my mom’s lipstick in secret, but the next second he brought my mom to knock on the door!!

Now I’m grounded and can’t even leave the house!!

This is tyranny!!]

[E+ is really tired: that’s actually too much 😭]

[Hate M size: EXACTLY]

[E+ is really tired: WHY does he show up the SECOND you call him but when I call for ages nobody comes?!

I ended up taking such a long bath my skin peeled off.

Injustice.]

[Express delivery to me is right: …I think in general Superman does take a look, but as long as it’s not a big deal he just doesn’t bother coming?

Selective hearing king behavior.]

[Excellent Teacher at State University (Subscribe to make Superman write a thesis): So that’s why that kid Wayne sometimes suddenly looks pissed out of nowhere…]

[E+ is really tired (Verified by Superman): SO HE DID SEE IT.

I KNEW IT.

I KNEW IT.]

“…”

Johnny could already picture exactly how dead inside Wayne must feel on a regular basis.
