As for how to develop Gen-3 Abomination Soldiers, that was Dr.

Wilson’s headache.

All Russell needed to do right now was train Allen and Hathaway into competent fighters.Full novel: Marvel: The DC Apostle System — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Naturally, his goal wasn’t to produce loyal Hydra soldiers, but rather to increase his own odds of escaping this secret facility in the future.

Acting completely alone would always carry complications.

With capable allies, breaking out of the Hydra base would become vastly easier.

Under Russell’s guidance, Allen gradually stopped flailing like a wild beast.

He began reading Russell’s rhythm before launching counterattacks.

Barely in his early twenties, Allen lacked practical combat experience, but his modified body allowed him to make sharp instinctive reflexes, enabling him to pick up combat techniques rapidly.

In this regard, both Allen and Hathaway strongly resembled Russell; all three possessed an incredible aptitude for mastering combat skills.

Unlike Russell, however, Allen and Hathaway showed no extraordinary talent in subjects like marksmanship, driving, languages, or hacking.

“Not bad.

Those punches are finally showing some form!”

Russell offered a brief word of praise after blocking a sequence of Allen’s strikes.

Sensing a faint glimmer of hope that he might actually knock Russell down, Allen lost his head and relapsed into brute, beast-like aggression.

“When an opportunity presents itself, don’t throw wild punches like a street brawler.”

“Seize the opening and end the fight in one shot!”

Allen’s fists carried tremendous power and looked intimidating, but they left glaring openings.

Capitalizing on one such flaw, Russell launched a lightning-fast uppercut flush into Allen’s chin, sending him airborne before he crashed onto the floor, knocked cold.

A severe blow to the chin induces unconsciousness—a simple matter of human physiology.

Even transformed into a miniature green giant, Allen was rendered unconscious by Russell’s single blow.

“Drag him away!

Hathaway, you’re up!”

Hearing Russell’s command, the assisting Hydra soldiers dragged the unconscious Allen aside.

Hathaway, dressed in a loose martial arts uniform, walked over with a thoroughly reluctant expression.

Whether out of fear of looking ugly or sheer terror of Russell, Hathaway displayed none of the formidable posture expected of a Gen-2 Abomination Soldier in his presence.

As a young woman in her early twenties, Hathaway was in the absolute prime of her youth.

With her striking, seductive features, enviable curves, and long wavy blonde hair, she looked more like a runway model than a cybernetically enhanced Abomination Soldier. This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.

With her stunning looks and hidden power, she could probably become a top-tier spy like Black Widow if she ever pursued that path.

The random thought crossed Russell’s mind.

Hathaway stood a few meters in front of Russell, her large round eyes studying him intently, yet showing no signs of transforming into her green form.

“Not transforming?”

Russell had no idea what was going through her head, but if she didn’t transform, proceeding with combat training would prove difficult.

In her base form, her physical resilience was at best on par with a well-trained soldier.

She couldn’t possibly withstand Russell’s speed and strength, making proper sparring impossible.

“I don’t want to.

I hate looking all big, green, and bulky!”

Hathaway stood around 170 centimeters tall normally, but in her transformed state, her height ballooned to nearly two meters, and her skin turned bright green.

As an ordinary girl, disliking becoming huge and monstrous was understandable.

However, her answer stirred a touch of annoyance in Russell.

If this were anywhere else, and if Hathaway were just a normal girl, her words would be completely harmless.

But this was a secret Hydra laboratory, and they were nothing more than test rats.

Clinging to the naive mindset of a civilian in a place like this was a liability—a fatal sin.

“I’ll give you three seconds.

Whether you turn green or not, I’m attacking.”

“If you don’t transform, you die.”

Russell wasn’t bluffing.

If Hathaway insisted on holding onto such unrealistic childishness, he would rather end her life himself than let her suffer at Hydra’s hands—at least his way would be swift.

“Three.

Two.

One.”

The moment the countdown ended, Russell charged at her.

The distance of a few meters took him less than an eye-blink to cross.

Just as Russell’s fist was about to crush her delicate, lovely face, Hathaway’s survival instincts overcame her foolish vanity. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

Her body expanded, turning green.

Noticing her transformation, Russell imperceptibly pulled his strike.

Mid-transformation, Hathaway caught Russell’s punch squarely on her left shoulder, stumbling back several steps.

“You actually hit me!

I—”

Hathaway tried to complain, but Russell gave her no breath to talk, pressing his assault relentlessly.

Forced to take the fight seriously, Hathaway finally put the combat techniques she had learned to work.

Unlike Allen, who lost his head and lashed out recklessly, Hathaway fought with far greater structure and calculation.

Caught slightly off guard, Russell took a few strikes from her.

Had Hathaway possessed better tactical timing, those few blows might have decided the match right then and there.

“You really do pick things up fast.

I’m impressed—which is why I’ve decided to get a bit more serious with you.”

Focusing entirely, Russell began treating Hathaway as a genuine opponent.

Against a fully focused Russell, Hathaway fought back fiercely, but the vast chasm in combat experience proved insurmountable, extinguishing any hope of victory.

In less than three minutes, Russell knocked her unconscious.

Upon losing consciousness, Hathaway shrank back from her miniature green giant state into her human form.

She wasn’t out for long.

Upon awakening, she glared hatefully at Russell, walked over in silence, and shoved the revived Allen back toward him.

“Alright, let’s keep going!”

After Allen and Hathaway were repeatedly knocked down, the day’s combat training finally came to an end.

Following this intense day, Allen’s attitude toward Russell became far more respectful, while Hathaway lapsed into complete, sullen silence.

Just as Russell, Allen, and Hathaway were heading back to their rooms, Russell overheard a couple of nearby Hydra soldiers whispering to each other.

“Did you hear?

Iron Man, Tony Stark, was killed by the Mandarin!”
