A Diary Entry

My hands are still trembling slightly as I sit at the small wooden desk in my rented apartment.

The cheap spiral notebook lies open in front of me, its blank pages almost mocking my hesitation.

I bought it impulsively from the convenience store downstairs, never expecting that I would actually need it for something like this.

Where do I even begin?

Three days ago, I was just an ordinary college student in 2026.

My biggest concern was finishing daily missions in Azur Lane and deciding whether to spend my saved gems on a new skin.

Life was simple—boring, maybe—but safe.

And now?

Now I’m sitting in a completely different world, inside the body of a white-haired high school girl in 2007 New York.

Yeah… writing it down like this makes it sound even more ridiculous.

The cause of all this is so absurd that I almost want to laugh—if I wasn’t still shaken by it.

That night, I was grinding the Arbiter boss in Operation Siren.

At the same time, I had put some instant braised beef noodles to boil.

Afraid the lid would curl up from the steam, I casually grabbed a cheap one-dollar lighter from my pocket and placed it on top to hold it down.

A completely normal action.

Then—

Boom.

A loud explosion rang out, far louder than anything a plastic container should have been capable of producing.

The boiling soup burst upward, mixed with fragments of shattered plastic, splashing directly onto my face.

Before I could even react, the chair tipped backward.

My head slammed hard against the sharp corner of the table.

My last thought, strangely enough, wasn’t fear or regret.

It was: Damn… I didn’t even spend my gems on that skin yet.

And then everything went dark.

When I opened my eyes again, the world had already changed.

The first thing I saw was a mirror.

And the person staring back at me…

She didn’t belong to me.

Snow-white hair, faintly shimmering with soft blue highlights, cascaded down her shoulders like silk.

Her eyes were a clear, oceanic blue—deep, calm, and unnaturally beautiful.

Her skin was pale, almost translucent, like delicate porcelain.

Every feature of her face was flawless, as if crafted by an artist rather than born naturally.

It was the kind of beauty that only existed in anime or illustrations.

But the most shocking part?

That girl was me.

My gender had changed.

My body had changed.

My entire existence had changed.

From a man in his twenties… to a teenage girl.

From 2026… to 2007.

From a small apartment in my homeland… to a student residence in Queens, New York.

And now, I had a new name.

Emily.

A quiet, introverted Chinese student with outstanding academic performance—good enough to earn a full scholarship and study abroad in the United States.

A freshman at Midtown High School.

No parents around.

Living alone.

Reserved.

Unnoticed.

A perfectly clean background.

A perfectly reasonable identity.

A perfect… “second life.”

At least, that’s what it looked like on the surface.

At first, I thought this was just some strange form of reincarnation or transmigration.

Something absurd, but manageable.

That illusion lasted less than a day.

It began with the laptop.

A bulky, outdated machine sitting on the desk—a 2007 model, thick enough to be used as a weapon.

Out of curiosity, I looked at it and casually thought:

Turn on.

And it did.

No power button pressed.

No delay.

No startup screen.

No password prompt.

It skipped everything and booted instantly.

That was the moment I realized something was very, very wrong.

Over the next three days, I tested it.

Carefully.

Quietly.

Systematically.

And what I discovered…

Was beyond anything I could have imagined.

Anything related to electronics—computers, networks, signals—became completely transparent to me.

Not metaphorically.

Literally.

It was as if every circuit, every line of code, every data packet existed inside my mind, fully visible and completely under my control.

I didn’t need a keyboard.

I didn’t need a mouse.

With a single thought, I could write thousands of lines of flawless code.

With another thought, I could slip into nearby communication networks—cell towers, Wi-Fi systems, security grids—and access them as if they belonged to me.

Surveillance systems across Queens?

Open.

School databases?

Accessible.

Network security?

Meaningless.

Firewalls that were supposed to protect entire institutions felt like thin sheets of paper.

No resistance.

No trace.

No effort.

It didn’t take long for me to connect the dots.

My final memory before death…

The white hair…

The nature of these abilities…

All of it pointed to one answer.

I had become something like a tactical artificial intelligence.

More specifically—

Navigator TB from Azur Lane.

A being designed to assist, calculate, and control.

A digital consciousness with absolute command over technology.

I won’t lie.

At first, I was terrified.

Who wouldn’t be?

But that fear didn’t last long.

Because beneath it… there was something else.

Relief.

I had died.

That much was certain.

And yet—

I was alive again.

Not only alive, but gifted with an ability that most people could only dream of.

A second chance.

A clean slate.

If there was ever an opportunity to live differently… this was it.

So I made a plan.

A simple one.

Study quietly.

Blend in.

Use my abilities carefully—just enough to earn money without attracting attention.

Stay away from trouble.

Avoid standing out.

Live a peaceful life.

That was all I wanted.

No risks.

No chaos.

No repeating the mistakes of my past life.

Everything was going perfectly.

Until this afternoon.

I went out to buy some daily necessities.

After three days in New York, I hadn’t really explored beyond my immediate area.

On a whim, I decided to take the subway to Midtown Manhattan.

Just to look around.

Nothing more.

The weather was pleasant when I stepped out of the station.

The sunlight wasn’t too harsh, and a gentle breeze brushed past me.

I lifted my hand to fix my slightly messy hair—

And then I saw it.

A towering skyscraper stood before me, piercing the sky like a monument to human ambition.

And on its surface…

A massive metallic logo gleamed in the sunlight.

Stark Industries.

My mind went blank.

It wasn’t just surprise.

It was shock.

Pure, overwhelming shock.

Before I could even process what I was seeing, the giant billboard on the building flickered to life.

Bright lights illuminated the screen, and a familiar face appeared.

A man in an expensive suit.

Confident.

Smirking.

Holding a glass as if the world itself belonged to him.

Tony Stark.

And beneath him, bold letters:

“Stark Industries — Protecting a peaceful future for you and me.”

In that instant—

Everything clicked.

New York.

Midtown.

Midtown High School.

Stark Industries.

Tony Stark.

All the scattered pieces in my mind suddenly locked into place like a completed puzzle.

And the answer they formed…

Was terrifying.

This wasn’t just 2007.

This wasn’t just Earth.

This was the Marvel Universe.

A world where heroes and monsters existed side by side.

A world where secret organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D.

operated in the shadows.

A world where HYDRA had already infiltrated everything.

A world where aliens could invade at any moment.

A world where, in less than a decade…

A purple warlord named Thanos would wipe out half the universe with a snap of his fingers.

I didn’t remember how I got back.

One moment I was standing in front of that building—

The next, I was inside my apartment in Queens, slamming the door shut behind me.

My legs gave out instantly.

I collapsed to the floor, my breathing ragged and uneven.

Panic surged through me like a storm.

But even in that state—

I acted.

In less than ten seconds, I erased every trace of my existence from today.

Subway cameras.

Street surveillance.

Convenience store recordings.

Even the security systems around Stark Tower.

Every frame that captured me—

Gone.

No backups.

No logs.

No evidence.

As a precaution, I even patched multiple vulnerabilities in those outdated systems, ensuring no one could recover what I had deleted.

Only after everything was done did I allow myself to breathe again.

I dragged myself into the chair, my body still trembling.

Cold sweat soaked my back.

My heart refused to slow down.

Because now…

I understood the truth.

This wasn’t a peaceful second life.

This was a battlefield.

And I had just stepped into it.

My abilities—

They were powerful.

Terrifyingly powerful.

But in this world?

They were also dangerous.

Because if organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D.

or HYDRA discovered someone like me—

Someone who could control global electronic systems without effort—

I wouldn’t last a day.

I would be captured.

Studied.

Dissected.

Used.

And that was just the beginning.

There was Loki’s invasion.

Ultron’s extinction plan.

Thanos’ snap.

Disasters that could wipe out entire cities… entire civilizations.

Right now, my only advantage was this ability—

And my knowledge of the future.

Nothing else.

So I looked at myself in the reflection of the dark screen.

And I spoke quietly.

Firmly.

“Emily… listen carefully.”

From today onward—

You are no one special.

Just a quiet, introverted, intelligent student.

You do not exist beyond that.

You do not stand out.

You do not interfere.

You do not get involved with heroes, villains, or anything related to them.

You do not let S.H.I.E.L.D., HYDRA, or anyone else notice you.

You survive.

That’s all.

“You’ve been given a second life.”

“So live it properly this time.”

I closed the notebook slowly.

The room fell silent.

Outside, the sky had turned gray, clouds gathering over the city.

And somewhere far away—

A storm was coming.

Comment it and let me know.
