Daisy was quite interested in the intelligence.

Not only did she review everything Morris had collected, but she also used her hacking skills to monitor security cameras belonging to both gangs.

She even created profiles for every relevant person, keeping things exceptionally official.Full novel: Marvel: The Warcraft Raid Leader — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Morris couldn’t help but marvel inwardly: *As expected of someone who could become the Director of SHIELD in the future—she really has a gift.*

“This Colleen Wing seems pretty cool, even if she’s a bit naive!”

For some reason, Daisy had printed out the files on Colleen Wing’s family.

She pored over Colleen’s profile in particular, having dug up several of her candid personal photos from the internet with relish.

“Well?

Mixed Chinese heritage, cute face…

interested?” After browsing for a moment, she wiggled her eyebrows at Morris with the expression of a total rogue.

Morris noticed that ever since they had laid all their cards on the table, Daisy seemed to have unlocked some bizarre hobby: she was constantly trying to scout hot girls for him.

Morris didn’t reply this time, instead dropping his head to think.

Currently, their three-person party—himself, Daisy, and Jessica—had already cleared all bosses in the 5-man and 10-man Heroic dungeons.

Though a few mechanic-heavy bosses took extra time, they were still manageable.

However, when they attempted a Normal 25-man raid with just the three of them, they were stone-walled right at the entry boss.

The dungeon difficulty in this virtual reality version of *World of Warcraft* was significantly harder than the Classic servers.

Tackling a 25-man raid with three people was truly grueling, practically impossible to clear.

Even with their game-breaking stats, there was simply no way around it.

“We really do need to expand the team,” Morris said.

“Plus, I have a feeling that Wild-tier dungeons and above might bring us some big surprises down the road.

You can try reaching out to her and see.”

Having thought it through, Morris didn’t refuse.

Besides, once the level cap opened to Level 100, those Wild-difficulty Level 100 raid dungeons truly would bring him surprises.

This was a prompt provided by his Golden Finger.

As for what specific surprises, his Golden Finger offered no further explanation.

After all, the current version was only at Phase 1 of Level 70.

According to the patch roadmap posted on the game forums, every ten levels formed a major expansion, and each major expansion consisted of two to three minor patches.

By the time Level 100 unlocked, there would be at least ten more updates—taking five years or even longer. This chapter is updated first at g.com.

However, Morris surmised that he would definitely unlock these so-called surprises before the plot of *The Avengers* kicked off.

Otherwise, his Golden Finger would be way too useless!

“Got it, leave it to me!

Don’t worry, consider it done!” Daisy promised confidently, then went back to tinkering on her laptop.

“Daisy, shouldn’t we warn Colleen Wing?

That Bakuto guy is so evil!” Jessica, who was also looking over Daisy’s compiled files, chimed in tentatively.

“Feel free to try warning her,” Daisy replied casually with a meaningful smirk.

“Okay, I’ll try!”

Jessica clearly missed Daisy’s implication.

She pulled out her phone and sent Colleen Wing a lengthy message.

Needless to say, the message went unanswered, sinking like a stone in the ocean.

“How could this happen?” Jessica was still agonizing over the question all the way until she logged into the game that evening.

“Don’t worry, she’ll reach out to you eventually,” Morris consoled her helplessly, giving her a brief explanation.

Although Jessica was smart in her own right, she was slightly less polished than Daisy—especially when it came to reading social dynamics and human nature, tending to be a bit blunt and naive.

The three chatted a bit more before diving into game time.

After running a round of minor dungeons, they had no choice but to split up and join pug groups for 25-man raids to leech some gold and badges.

Fortunately, since the server had just launched, there was no shortage of GDKP gold runs.

Although Phase 1 raids didn’t payout much gold, at least there were emblem badges to earn.

During this time, the three of them occasionally ended up in the same raid.

Morris noticed that all three held back, far from displaying their true capabilities.

Their performances were decidedly average.

Amusingly, both Daisy and Morris joined the GDKP raids off-spec as healers.

As for Jessica, she didn’t need to hide much.

Although her damage output was slightly higher and her reflexes faster, it didn’t look overly conspicuous.

After all, Terrans from other interstellar civilizations also possessed powerful traits, so Jessica’s performance was merely slightly impressive rather than bizarre.

By contrast, Daisy and Morris looked almost aggressively unremarkable.

Three days flew by.

Nearly all their gear had been replaced with epics.

And tonight, Morris skipped logging into the game.

Instead, controlling Big Mi and Mimi, he quietly slipped into the home of Tanaka, the leader of the local syndicate.

After his two pets neutralized the surveillance and auto-alarm systems, Morris cast the Priest skill [Slow Fall], stepping into the residence without his feet touching the floor.

Following the intelligence he had gathered, he quickly located and unlocked both the visible and hidden safes in the room.

From the primary safe, Morris simply took all the cash—tens of thousands of dollars—leaving everything else untouched.

The contents of the hidden safe were equally disappointing: just over $600,000 in cash and fifty small gold bullion bars, which were worth less than a million dollars given current gold prices.

There was also a flash drive and some paper documents.

Morris didn’t inspect them closely, shoving the entire stash into his inventory system.

He would hand these over to Daisy once he got back; there might be additional leads buried inside.

The house was huge, but Morris had no intention of lingering to search it.

After all, Tanaka was currently executing a major transaction and had taken a massive sum of cash with him.

That was Morris’s main target for the night!

You had to be kidding—since he was already here, he was going to squeeze out every drop of profit.

A small-time gang like this wasn’t worth a second visit.

With [Slow Fall] still active, Morris didn’t bother taking the stairs.

He leaped straight out of a fourth-floor window, landing light as a feather on the dim street below.

Flanked by his two small cats, he headed straight for a location on the edge of Hell’s Kitchen.

That was where Tanaka had gone to restock tonight.

With Morris’s current Agility, covering the dozen-plus kilometers from Flushing to Hell’s Kitchen took him less than three minutes.

His arrival couldn’t have been timed better.

Tanaka was currently standing there, holding a large briefcase and lifting his wrist to check the time.

Evidently, the handoffs from The Hand sellers hadn’t arrived yet.

Morris sent his two cats to scout the surroundings, but they found no other threats.

The Hand’s representatives hadn’t shown up yet—it was the perfect moment to strike.

Morris didn’t hesitate.

Ignoring the armed gunmen standing guard around Tanaka, he burst into maximum speed, darting out of the shadows straight toward Tanaka.

In under a second, the briefcase in Tanaka’s grip vanished into Morris’s inventory.

Tanaka Junji himself was yanked off his feet by the sheer momentum, tumbling sideways and skidding seven or eight meters across the ground before slamming to a stop.

Before the gunmen could even register what had happened, Morris had already vanished into the darkness, rounding a corner and leaving no trace behind.
