Morris Chow was a transmigrator, and like other transmigrators, he possessed his own Golden Finger.

The only problem was that his Golden Finger had been stuck!

This world was extremely dangerous, but fortunately, Morris was very familiar with it.Full novel: Marvel: The Warcraft Raid Leader — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Marvel!

The very Marvel universe with Captain America, SHIELD, and Iron Man!

In this life, Morris was born into a middle-class Chinese-American family, living in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens, New York.

Both of his parents were Chinese.

His father, Victor Chow, had come to the United States in the late 1960s alongside Morris’s grandfather.

His mother, Susan Wu, was a native-born Chinese-American whose ancestors had immigrated back in the late Qing dynasty.

His grandparents’ generation had all passed away.

Victor currently worked as a technical supervisor at Oscorp with a rather generous salary.

His mother, Susan, worked as an accountant for a large supermarket chain, earning a stable income.

Their family was far from wealthy, but comfortably above average—a solid middle-class American household.

Morris was a womb transmigrator.

From the moment he was born, he was fully aware of his situation; there was no cliché of recovering past-life memories at a certain age.

Consequently, his behavior had always differed from other children.

As the old man next door put it: “That kid’s been sharp as a tack since he was a baby!”

Since childhood, he had been “passionate” about Chinese culture.

Not only was his Chinese fluent—after all, he didn’t need to learn it—but he also studied martial arts and Traditional Chinese Medicine under the elderly Chinese residents of Flushing.

The reason was simple: to gain a few extra survival cards, since his Golden Finger had been stuck and unable to activate.

And today was his eighteenth birthday, the day his Golden Finger finally unlocked.

The moment it activated, he was pulled straight from his bed into this virtual reality, World of Warcraft–like world.

And right now, he was modifying the “variable” in his racial talent!

He also recalled the origins of his two starting classes.

In his past life, he had been a veteran WoW Classic player.

When the servers closed and reopened, he played two characters in The Burning Crusade Classic: a Hunter and a Priest.

Now, both classes existed simultaneously on a single character, resulting in his “Acquired Human” racial talent!

The variable in the talent could only be set to one number: 2, 3, or 4.

The default was set to 2, allowing him to pick three out of the remaining five talents as Acquired Human racial talents.

When he changed the number to 3, the available talent choices dropped by one.

When he changed it to 4, not only did the available choices decrease by another one, but the descriptions of the other talents altered as well.

For example, the second selectable talent directly below Acquired Human was Multiselect.

[Multiselect: You can have multiple companions assisting you in battle, up to a maximum of 12!

(Hunters and Warlocks can field multiple pets at once.)]

When he set the class cap to 4, the maximum number of active pets dropped from 12 down to 8.

Even so, Morris adjusted the variable to 4 and confirmed his choice.

It was a complete no-brainer.

Since class attributes and equipment slots stacked together, he obviously had to max out the talent stacking effect!

No matter how powerful a hunter pet was, it could never match an entire extra class!

As for the remaining four talents, some boosted weapon specializations, some increased secondary profession skill gains, and one was a berserk-like active talent.

Without a doubt, Multiselect was the most absurd talent among them.

A Hunter bringing eight pets at once—wouldn’t a Beast Mastery spec go completely insane with that?!

Besides, he could still select a Warlock class as well!

Even with just these two talents alone, it was already ridiculously broken!

During this process, he also learned the precise capability of his newly activated Golden Finger: it allowed him to export the skills and attributes he acquired in the game into the real world!

Setting everything else aside, stacking four classes to gain 100 all stats right off the bat was already beyond overpowered!

Some might argue that four Level 1 classes wouldn’t add up to so many stats, but the base stats for an Acquired Human started at 25 points per attribute.

Other players’ native races had similar hidden attribute settings—for instance, that Tamian race started with an extra 88 base Intelligence!

And according to the Golden Finger’s explanation, an average human in Marvel had an average attribute score of only 5 points.

Captain America was merely five to seven times that of an ordinary human.

Morris quickly locked in his talents and moved on to selecting his new classes.

Unfortunately, his two initial classes could not be swapped, and he could only select from the available blood elf options.

Thus, only Paladin, Rogue, Mage, and Warlock remained.

With the Multiselect talent in hand, he unhesitatingly picked Warlock.

As for Paladin, he was surprisingly unable to select it.

The game provided no explanation, but his Golden Finger gave feedback: he already possessed the same class in another realm, making it unavailable!

Recalling his past life, before WoW Classic original servers shut down, he indeed had several characters: a Level 60 Warrior and Shaman, a Level 70 Paladin, and a Level 80 Druid added in WotLK!

Thank goodness he only had four back then!

That still left Mage and Rogue available!

Otherwise, this four-class talent would have been partially wasted!

Faced with the last two choices, Morris pondered for a long while before deciding on Mage.

The logic was simple: the Golden Finger specified that only class attributes and skills could be brought out into reality—items likely could not.

A Mage who could conjure their own food and drink was an essential utility pick.

With his selections finalized, Morris chose to enter the world.

The moment he logged in, his body lost balance and tumbled to the ground once more—a double fall!

This time, he finally understood the reason: physical disorientation caused by a sudden spike in attributes!

Fortunately, his body adapted rapidly.

Morris scrambled up and immediately set out to find class trainers to learn his free starting skills.

In this virtual reality game, obtaining starting skills required conversing with class trainers and spending time in actual training.

During training, there was a miraculous training space where learning efficiency increased tenfold.

Perception-wise, time passed at a different ratio inside than outside.

In reality, however, the flow of time remained identical.

As the Golden Finger explained, this was merely an online game within the Interstellar Alliance, not some sort of second home dimension.

Who would waste high-dimensional energy to alter the flow of time for a mere game?

The operators weren’t about to let their operational costs explode!

Morris was left speechless.

Learning the starting skills for each class still took over a day in Morris’s subjective perception.

In real time, however, only three hours had elapsed.

Hunter shots, Mage, Priest, and Warlock spells, plus weapon proficiencies—with so many skills crammed into his mind at once, Morris felt his head buzzing and his body exhausted.

Instead of continuing to play, Morris logged off directly.

He returned to his big bed in real life and glanced at the time—it was already past midnight!

His physical body had undergone drastic changes over those few hours: his muscles were more developed, his lines smoother, and even his skin had improved significantly!

After taking a quick shower, Morris felt a wave of weariness wash over him and promptly fell fast asleep.
