Lancelot of the Knights of the Round Table, known as the Knight of the Lake, the strongest knight among the Knights of the Round Table.
The Lancelot featured in this mission was clearly not Lancelot of the Berserker class like in Fate/Zero, but Lancelot of the Saber class—Saberlot!
Star generation, star absorption, critical damage, self NP charge, charging forward and immediately unleashing a barrage of critical hits—either you die, or I die!
As a four-star, his combat power was comparable to that of a five-star.
The only thing that might limit his performance was probably his ATK.
Most importantly, most importantly, this Lancelot was his father-in-law!
“Servant Saber, Lancelot, reporting for duty.
Although it may only be for a short time, I shall dedicate my sword to you, Master.”
“Welcome, Lancelot.”
Holding a great sword wrapped in white and gold, Lancelot appeared before Amakusa, making Amakusa smile happily.
The situation in the real world was naturally different from that in the game.
Compared to his unparalleled performance in the game, Lancelot in the real world might be considerably different, but that did not change the fact that Amakusa liked this Servant.
The reason this mission had been triggered was also because of the mission Amakusa had completed earlier, namely guiding the police toward the path of light.
If even the police had become like that, it meant that New York was still extremely unsafe.
The Brooklyn area where the church was located was relatively decent, but the other areas were not necessarily any better than this place.
Therefore, Lancelot of the Knights of the Round Table, who helped the weak, had come in response to this situation.
Amid his excitement, Amakusa asked Mash about the situation.
“Mash, is this an event?”
“Yes, this is an event.
Saber-class Knight Lancelot will temporarily join our team as a supporter to help us complete the mission.
There is a main quest, and if we complete it, we can obtain Saber-class Lancelot and have him officially join our team.”
“Indeed, Master.
I will temporarily join your team and obey your orders to complete the mission.
If you fail to complete the mission, then unfortunately, I will have to leave.”
Lancelot’s explanation was exactly the same as Mash’s.
“However, as long as Master completes the mission, I, Lancelot, will remain here and always obey Master’s orders.”
“Then, what is the mission?
If this is an event, there should be a main quest, right?”
“Yes, the main quest is to help Tony Stark safely become Iron Man.”
Mash explained the main quest.
“Based on Senpai’s understanding of this world, completing this particular mission should be very easy, right?
Especially with the assistance of Knight Lancelot, we should be able to complete it effortlessly.”
“That way, we can obtain Lancelot and have him join our team.
Although he isn’t as rare as the Spirit Origin Senpai currently possesses when judged by rarity, he is still a very good Servant.”
“Wait, Miss, why do I feel like you’re somewhat underestimating me?” After hearing Mash’s words, Lancelot looked at her with some confusion.
“No, I am not underestimating Knight Lancelot.
I am merely stating a fact.
Knight Lancelot is indeed strong, but if we were to fight, I feel that I could hold him off by myself with this shield.”
Mash raised the shield in her hand and pointed it toward Lancelot.
Being suddenly judged like this by a young girl made Lancelot somewhat irritated.
As the strongest Knight serving under King Arthur among the Knights of the Round Table, he had always followed behind King Arthur and could be said to have swept aside every opponent without equal.
He had never heard of anyone being capable of holding him off alone.
However, when he carefully examined the shield in Mash’s hand, he was startled.
“This shield…
the aura emanating from this shield, could it be…?”
“What’s wrong, Knight Lancelot?
Don’t tell me you can’t recognize this shield anymore?
As the strongest knight serving under King Arthur, surely you haven’t forgotten something this trivial?”
Mash smiled.
The single visible eye beneath her hair shimmered with mischief as she looked at the startled Lancelot, finally making him realize.
“Wait, wait a moment…
that tone of voice that doesn’t regard her father as her father, coupled with the hair covering one side of her face…
you, could it be?!”
“You finally realized, Knight Lancelot?
No, Father!”
Mash’s form of address caused Lancelot to instantly release his right hand from Arondight.
The great white-and-gold sword immediately fell and smashed into the pew beside him, breaking its backrest.
However, Lancelot did not care about it at all.
Instead, he looked like a shy teenager nervously squeezing his own hands together, staring at Mash with a slightly flushed and hopeful expression.
“You…
you…
what did you just call me?”
“Father.
Why?”
“Oh!!!”
Lancelot clutched his chest and hurriedly turned around to approach Amakusa.
His face was flushed red, filled with excitement and earnestness.
“Master, please make absolutely sure you complete the mission!
As long as you give the order, I, Lancelot, will charge through a sea of fire without hesitation to help you complete it!”
Amakusa naturally understood why Lancelot had suddenly become like this.
Mash’s Spirit Origin was Galahad, and Lancelot was Galahad’s father.
Therefore, Mash, who currently possessed Galahad’s Spirit Origin, could be said to be Lancelot’s daughter.
“Of course, Lancelot.
A Servant as powerful as you—I will do everything in my power to make sure you can remain by my side.
Besides, the main character responsible for completing this mission is Knight Lancelot himself, so this mission is guaranteed to succeed 100%.”
“That way, Lancelot can reunite with Mash as father and daughter.”
“Yes, this is the first time I’ve been called ‘Father’!
Even though she has changed from Galahad into this form, there is no mistaking Galahad’s Spirit Origin.
She is still her!”
Lancelot’s face was completely flushed red.
“I feel like my heart can barely take this.
Master, please excuse me for a moment.
If you have any orders, please contact me through the Command Seal.
Otherwise, I’m afraid my heart won’t be able to take it and I’ll suddenly drop dead.”
After saying this to Amakusa, Lancelot hurriedly picked up his great sword, which had destroyed the pew earlier, and without hesitation ran out of the church.
He did not even dare glance at Mash, perhaps because he simply did not dare look at her.
Staring at the wide-open large door, Amakusa was caught between wanting to laugh and wanting to cry.
Although he was extremely happy that his first event had actually rewarded him with this father-in-law, the father-in-law’s personality was truly far more entertaining than he had imagined.
Back when he was playing the game, simply watching Mash interact with him had already felt incredible, and witnessing it directly before his eyes now made the feeling even more incredible.
He lowered his head and looked at the three Command Seals on the back of his right hand.
Amakusa tilted his head slightly, causing strands of his silver hair to sway along with it.
“Judging from this, the Iron Man storyline is about to begin.”
