After a long journey, they finally arrived at the second city. It was far more crowded than Greenvale, packed with tourists eager to visit. The Saint’s carriage was famous, and upon their arrival, a massive crowd of tourists, citizens, and city dwellers swarmed the streets just to catch a glimpse of the Saint.
Solenne smiled at them through the window. Sitting across from her inside the carriage was a woman of comparable, almost matching beauty, who also smiled at the crowd. However, her clothes were far more revealing than Solenne's.
Solenne stared at her with an irritated expression. "Vespara, watch your attitude. And ugh, can you please choose a decent outfit? Those clothes are so revealing they defeat the entire purpose of wearing clothes at all!"
Earlier, when the carriage was just nearing the city gates, Rael had rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Is it really a good idea to let a demon inside the city?"
Vespara had offered a mischievous smile. "It’s a real hassle. So, I suggest you just release me. You wouldn’t want rumors spreading that Saint Solenne the Radiant is cooperating with a demon, now would you?" her tone was deeply teasing.
Solenne shot her a sharp look. "Ha! You wish. You think I’d release you just because of that? Maybe I should just chain you up and drag you along instead, hmph!"
Vhal’zar chimed in, looking at Rael. "But Master, it will be really annoying if he has to stand around too much, right Master?"
Rael nodded. "Yeah... Hmm. You can disguise yourself as a human, right Vespara?"
Vespara looked at him nervously. "Ye... yeah, I can, if you wish."
Rael smiled. "Then problem solved."
Saint Solenne mocked her with a smirk, while Vespara could only sigh. Gathering mana around her body, Vespara formed a full-body [Mirage]. Slowly, her body transformed into a human shape. Her horns and tail vanished from sight, though Rael and Vhal’zar could somehow still see her true form.
When the mana materialized into clothing, it took the shape of a incredibly revealing outfit. Rael quickly looked away; even though he was powerful, he was still a man.
"Done!" Vespara cheered, finishing her transformation with a smile.
Solenne looked at her with pure disgust. "Can you make your clothes more covered?! Ugh!"
Vespara mocked her back. "Hey, these clothes represent my nature as a Succubus Queen, so I can't help myself. If you have any spare clothes, maybe I can wear them instead?"
Solenne flatly refused to lend her anything. "Ugh, I don’t want my clothes infected by your demonic nature."
Furious, Vespara snapped, "What?! You think my attitude is determined solely by my race? I think you’re more of a demon than me, judging people based on their race!"
Solenne smiled mockingly. "Hehe, then why was I chosen by my goddess, hmm?"
Vespara’s anger flared. "Screw you and your goddess! A goddess and her followers are exactly the same."
"What did you just say, you whore?!" Solenne snapped, completely losing her temper.
Vespara kept mocking her. "You heard me. Screw both of you."
"That’s it!"
Rael watched the exchange, utterly confused by Solenne’s un-saintly attitude. It was incredibly entertaining, reminding him of a celebrity who maintained a perfect image on TV but was suddenly caught in a massive scandal. He chalked it up as just another chaotic event.
Suddenly, Vhal’zar put a stop to it. He snapped his fingers, releasing a small wave of mana inside the carriage that instantly forced both of them to freeze.
"Do not dare interrupt Master's peace," Vhal’zar commanded coldly.
Both women immediately behaved themselves.
"If not for Mister Vhal’zar, you would have been toasted by my divine smite," Solenne murmured. Her voice was low, but loud enough for Vespara to hear. Vespara simply made a mocking face in return. The two of them were acting exactly like children.
Now in present.
Rael sighed, feeling uncomfortable. "Ugh, if it’s going to end up like this, maybe I should suggest Vespara wear something that doesn’t attract so much attention."
Vhal’zar looked at Rael. "Master, perhaps it is not too late to make her change."
Rael’s face turned slightly red. "Do you really think it’s a good idea to make her change in front of a crowd, even if we are inside the carriage? That’s highly risky."
Vespara eyed them mischievously. "Kyaa~ you guys are perverts."
Vhal’zar remained entirely unbothered by her teasing, while Rael forced himself to maintain a strict poker face. Truthfully, he couldn't help but look at her with a hint of lust, but because his Wisdom stat was so high, he was easily able to resist it.
Rael sighed. "Okay, time to adapt then."
Solenne looked confused. "Adapt?"
The carriage finally halted inside the city of Empyrium. It was a place where adventurers and powerful warriors gathered to make a name for themselves, famous for its grand Colosseum. The strongest fighters from all around the region came to prove their worth, and the one who survived until the very end would be granted a wish by the Emperor himself.
Of course, no matter how famous the strongest gladiators were, they still paled in comparison to a Saint.
When the carriage door swung open, Rael stepped out first. The crowd watched curiously as a neat, well-dressed man acting as a steward extended his hand.
"Hold my hand, my lady."
A pure white hand grasped the steward’s hand. "Thank you," Solenne said with a graceful smile.
The crowd erupted into murmurs. "Is that her servant?""He looks good.""She looks like a princess.""No, she's way above a princess!"
Following them, another man stepped out. He was incredibly handsome, wearing noble attire that was far more luxurious and astonishing than anything the local high nobles wore.
In the crowd, the local nobility immediately began whispering. "Do you know him?""Which faction does he belong to?""Is he married?"
The handsome noble offered his hand. "This way, my lady."
A woman’s hand touched his, and out stepped Vespara. Her hair was vibrant red, and though she was more covered up than before, her outfit still featured a tempting cleavage that instantly drew the eyes of every man present. Her assets were vastly more enormous than the average woman's.
"Thank you, honey," Vespara purred.
Rael and Vhal’zar were in disguise Rael as the Saint's loyal steward, and Vhal’zar as a prideful noble traveling with his breathtaking wife, Vespara.
Suddenly, a heavy-set man dressed in lavish noble attire came rushing toward them, panting heavily. "Your Highness... haah... haah... I am terribly sorry to be late to greet you!"
It was the Mayor of Empyrium. Solenne felt an instant wave of disgust because she knew exactly what kind of man he was. However, as a Saint, she excelled at maintaining her poker face and kept her radiant smile intact.
"Ah, of course, Mayor Rigid."
The mayor smiled like a greedy pig, his eyes practically gleaming. "Hehe, hehe, yes, of course." He reached out, attempting to touch her hand, but Rael instantly stepped in and brushed the mayor's hand away.
Rael bowed slightly, executing the perfect image of a professional steward. "Please, Mayor, restrain yourself and behave appropriately in front of Her Highness."
The mayor’s face flushed with anger. "You little!"
He quickly cut himself off, trying not to cause a scene. The Saint's aura felt incredibly heavy as she stared him down.
"Ah, I apologize, Your Highness, for my rude actions..." The mayor cleared his throat. "Um, if I may ask, what brings you here? Previously, you only came to investigate something, but now you have returned. I am a bit confused about your purpose, hehe."
Solenne smiled sweetly. "Ah, I simply wanted to visit and enjoy the spectacles at the Colosseum... Is there a problem?"
The mayor panicked slightly. "Ah, no, no! You are welcome anytime, of course! Yes, I will personally arrange the highest VIP seating for you, hehe... hehe."
Solenne smiled. "Thank you."
Still bitter about Rael’s intervention, the mayor glared at him and asked, "Wait, Your Highness, may I ask who he –“ then suddenly behind them there is more tempting than the saint it is vespara with her red hair and a body that really are make a man lust begin to rising then his eyes begin filled with lust “ahh…pardon your highness who are they behind you?” then looking at the handsome man with a noble attire that looked like an expensive even the mayor are careful to act onfront of him so he decide to ask he saint first.
Solenne smiled warmly. "He is my steward. And for behind me are the nobles from far away country, and my steward are recommendation from them so I hope you not mad at my steward, mayor"
The mayor nodded slowly. "So, he is not as important as you, right? Hehe... hehe."
Solenne sighed softly. "But he is my steward, so I would prefer it if you watched your actions, Mayor."
Left with no choice, the mayor bowed. "As you wish, Your Highness."
Outwardly he complied, but deep down, a dark grudge against the steward began to fester and also lust that building slowly inside his heart looking the woman with red hair that really tempting him are spreading trough his heart and to his entire body.
