Of course, it wasn’t that the orcs didn’t want to dodge.

But Salk’s movements were not something they could evade.

Surpassing human speed, his movements looked like nothing more than a single streak to those merely watching.Full novel: Miracle, Return of the Dragon — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Uheok.

It’s a monster.”

“Let’s run away.

Chik.”

The orcs began to flee.

“Uh, what’s with these bastards?”

Salk was momentarily dumbfounded by the orcs’ sudden flight.

But his thoughts were brief, and his actions were fast.

Salk chased after the group of orcs that had run off into the distance.

Enraged, he had no intention of letting them go easily just because they were running away.

He had to chase them down and make sure they could never harbor such thoughts again.

Every time Salk took a step, his figure glided straight forward.

It was a speed that could not possibly be considered human movement.

However, consumed only by the thought of punishing them, Salk didn’t realize at all that he was running at such a speed.

Among the orcs scattering in all directions, Salk locked onto one target.

The very bastard who had raised an axe at him first, Vank.

Salk closed in behind him, leaped up using his running momentum, mounted Vank’s back, and choked his neck with both arms.

It was one of Salk’s techniques, the “Scissor Choke of Terror”.

It was a terrifying ultimate skill that, once caught in, one could not escape, to the point that even Lord Valerius of the “Valerius Syndicate”, who was said to have been a regional strongman, had fallen to his knees before it.

“Keueu… h-huuuman… kek.”

The resisting Vank’s neck snapped, and he grew still.

“No matter how much a punk like you tries to run… Heok!”

Brushing off his hands, Salk was getting up from Vank’s back when he suddenly curled up, clutching his head in agony.

Katrisian hadn’t simply protected Salk’s physical body.

As a living being with a finite life himself, he hated the idea of his existence being fleetingly forgotten.

So he had injected his knowledge into Salk’s mind, and that knowledge was rapidly taking root in every corner of Salk’s brain.

As Katrisian’s knowledge, accumulated over nine thousand years of life, flooded in all at once, Salk’s brain convulsed.

After thrashing about for a while, Salk went limp as the pain stopped and fell into a deep sleep.

In the meantime, all of Katrisian’s memories were implanted in Salk’s brain.

If humans normally used more than just three percent of their brains, Salk’s head would have exploded, killing him.

That didn’t mean Salk could utilize all of Katrisian’s knowledge, however.

The knowledge was merely stored, like books slotted into a bookshelf.
