“Have you awakened?”
The resting group hurriedly approached Salk.
Salk scanned the four people looking down at him with curious gazes, and as he sat up, he realized clothes had been draped over his body.
It seemed they had dressed him.
“Food.”
“Pardon?”
“Something to eat.”
Rummaging through his memories, Salk stated what he wanted in the language of this world.
He was currently so hungry he felt like he was going crazy.
Since dragons were a race that lived off mana, Katrisian had not eaten a single meal while borrowing Salk’s body.
Of course, he sometimes did eat when enjoying his amusement while polymorphed into a human.
But that was only to the extent of tasting the flavors; it was an act that had absolutely nothing to do with hunger.
In the end, Salk had been starving for over four days, so it was a natural phenomenon.
What to do and how to handle things in this unfamiliar place was a problem to think about after filling his stomach.
“Ah, yes.”
Understanding Salk’s words, Bash hurriedly dug through his backpack and offered him some rock-hard jerky.
Salk devoured it in the blink of an eye.
Seeing that, the rest of the group also brought out what they had.
Those, too, disappeared in an instant.
Eliza’s party all dropped their jaws at his appetite.
However, for Salk, it still wasn’t enough.
He had only staved off his hunger; his stomach wasn’t full yet.
Looking around, Salk realized that this was the place where he had first fallen into this world.
There was a reason Eliza’s party had brought Salk here.
First, it was open on all sides, allowing them to buy time to counter an orc attack.
Furthermore, they had to bury the bodies of their dead comrades.
Salk stood up from his spot and spoke to Bash.
“Light a fire.”
“A fire is dangerous.
It will reveal our location to the orcs.”
“It doesn’t matter.
If they come, I’ll kill them.”
“But…”
“Just light the fire.”
“Understood.”
At Salk’s cold rebuke, Bash couldn’t argue any further.
The human in front of him felt far more terrifying than an orc.
Watching them build the fire for a moment, Salk picked up the sword that was near Bash and walked into the forest.
When he returned a short while later, he was holding several large chunks of meat dripping with blood in his hands.
“What are you looking at?”
