With Xia Ye’s help, Mir managed to pull off something plenty of boys dream about but never accomplish—though the price wasn’t small either…
Looking at the girls hemming him in on all sides, Mir sensed a hint of danger.
“If I told you I didn’t break in here on my own, would you believe me?”
The girls didn’t bother answering.
Instead they raised the brooms, wooden sticks, and machetes in their hands to represent their reply.
Mir felt like he’d aged a decade in a single instant.
“Fine, I get it.”
Why can’t people just understand one another?
[Time Master: Acceleration]
Mir shot out faster than the eye could follow, tearing a door clean off its hinges on the way.
Then the girls’ dorm supervisor slapped him flat to the floor.
Facing the girls closing in around him, Mir could only meekly beg forgiveness.
“I can apologize, I really can.”
The girls weren’t in the mood to hear him out, and their magic power was already condensing into something solid.
A beating was clearly unavoidable.
Why are you forcing my hand?
In his desperation, Mir pulled his own head off and offered it up to the girls in atonement.
Right on cue, the girls shrieked and scattered—pathetic nerves, obviously freshmen.
Was that really necessary?
Mir shrugged like a master grown lonely at the top… and then took a heavy blow to the gut.
He felt no pain, but he still instinctively clutched his stomach and half-crouched, and the head cradled in his arms tumbled to the ground.
Then his viewpoint spun wildly—someone had scooped his head up.
Now that was a real head-scratcher!
“What race are you, kid? You’ve got some nerve charging into the girls’ dorm!”
Mir’s view flipped around, and he saw the person gripping his head: the mature, buxom supervisor who’d slapped him to the floor.
“Honestly, ma’am, I’m actually a girl too,” Mir said with a perfectly straight face.
“You think I’m blind?” The supervisor scoffed at his excuse.
Sigh.
“Really.
If you don’t believe me, I can prove it.”
“Try anything stupid and I’ll start taking parts off you.”
Mir shamefully chickened out.
Even though he was only a puppet, and even though he wasn’t sure which part she meant, being short a component was something he definitely couldn’t accept.
“Hm? You look kind of familiar, kid.” The supervisor seemed to notice something, holding his head up and studying it closely.
As the academy director’s son, Mir was fairly well-known, and with his lawless streak on top of that, everyone at the academy except a handful of freshmen had at least some impression of him.
So he was recognized right away.
“Aren’t you Mir?”
“I’m not, you’ve got the wrong person. I’m actually Carlo Lierwick, an otaku shut-in.” Mir decisively pinned the blame elsewhere.
“Ohh~ so you’re not Mir after all—did you think I’d say that?! Are you questioning my eyesight and my IQ?!”
The supervisor seemed a bit annoyed now, and her hands started relentlessly mashing Mir’s head around.
It had no actual effect, though.
Mir figured his head was plenty hard, but being messed with like this was still pretty unpleasant.
“Let’s talk this out properly!
Give me my head back first—you’re putting me in a real bind here!”
“Ohh?
Now I’m really curious what race you are, kid.
Pull your head off and it’s totally fine—a Feitouman, maybe?” With that, the supervisor peered at the severed edge of Mir’s neck, only to find a toy-like joint.
“Tch! Doing this, aren’t you afraid I’ll tell Erin?” Mir flat-out reminded her that his mom was her boss—watch it, or I’ll have her dock your pay.
To his surprise, the supervisor stroked her chin and said, “Erin and I have been good friends for years. And what do you think will happen if I tell her you broke into the girls’ dormitory?”
Damn, was that old lady this well-connected back in her day?
But still…
“Tell her whatever you want, but can you give me my head back first?” Mir’s headless corpse—no, headless body—stretched out both hands.
The supervisor mulled it over, then handed Mir’s head back.
“Kid, I’m going to tell Erin the truth about today.”
Say whatever you want.
If I get in any trouble over this, I’ll count it as my loss.
After fitting his head back on, Mir walked toward the window.
“What are you doing? This is the eleventh floor!” The supervisor grabbed his collar to stop him.
She really didn’t believe a D-rank kid could just leap from the eleventh floor unharmed.
???
Dammit, does that little chick Xia Ye really hit that hard? This story is hosted at g.com.
Punched me straight from the second floor up to the eleventh?
Mir blinked and said with an innocent face, “Well, I can’t exactly walk out the front door, can I?”
“True. It’d be bad if you saw something you shouldn’t.” The supervisor stroked her chin.
“Or how about this—pull your head off, let me wrap it in something, and then…”
Before she could finish, Mir had already jumped…
BOOM!!!
A huge crater was smashed into the ground beneath the girls’ dormitory.
The commotion was so loud that heads poked out of the girls’ dorm windows one after another to see what happened, and the boys’ dorm next door, not to be outdone, looked over too—though an observation-blocking spell meant they could only make out a single silhouette.
Mir climbed out of the crater, patted the dust off himself, turned around and blew the girls’ dormitory a kiss, then swaggered off under the girls’ disdainful glares and the boys’ worshipful ones.
“Heh, this kid.” The supervisor gave a helpless laugh and lit a cigarette.
Then a Water Ball Spell hit her.
The perpetrator said expressionlessly, “Ms.
Supervisor, no smoking inside the dormitory.
That’s a rule you set yourself.”
“Fine, fine, I won’t smoke.” My whole outfit’s soaked now…
Watching the color of her underwear gradually show through the wet fabric, the supervisor wore a helpless expression.
Why on earth did I set so many pointless rules back then?
I didn’t even smoke to begin with—I only picked it up under that woman Erin’s influence, and then she went and quit first.
“Bet you didn’t see this coming? I’m back again!” Mir stood in front of Xia Ye’s door and raised both hands to announce his return.
What greeted him, however, was Miss Xia Ye’s cockroach-spotting stare of disdain.
“Why are you still able to come back?”
“Why shouldn’t I be? So you punched me into the girls’ dorm on purpose? Aww, I feel so hurt—I’ll only get up if you give me a kiss.” With that, Mir promptly flopped onto the floor.
So he earned a kick from Xia Ye.
Not satisfied even after kicking him, the girl followed up with a finishing blow.
“Why is a bedbug like you still alive in this world?”
Holy crap!
Damn it, why?!
Back when I pulled this in front of Erin, she’d coddle and hug me—so why is it that in front of you, this woman, I’m a cockroach one second and a bedbug the next?
Is the treatment gap between my little-girl form and my boy form really this huge?
Feeling that life was deeply unfair, Mir lay on the floor and sank into thought—even though both forms were still Mir.
