Afterward, Freya spent some time at home “playing” with her newfound superpowers.

This included, but was not limited to, performing one-handed handstands, doing somersaults effortlessly, and bending a kitchen knife in half with her bare hands before straightening it again.

Previously, these high-difficulty feats had been unimaginable for her, but now she could perform them with ease.Full novel: Miss Fate’s Speedrun Guide — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Having gained extraordinary power, Freya no longer feared the looming death crisis.

When the time came, she could simply summon her War Pathway avatar and effortlessly eliminate the pervert with a single strike.

Her only concern was how to carry out the kill without disrupting her normal life afterward.

For now, she merely needed to simulate the process of eliminating the pervert.

However, during her second simulation, Freya spent a month at the Special Operations Division.

The officers there were all decent people, and having acquired crucial intelligence about the Obsidian Incident, she felt compelled to act.

For example, sending an anonymous tip to the authorities!

After all, Freya currently had no connection to Captain Nolan or his squad.

If she walked in and claimed to know an Obsidian stronghold, she suspected Nolan would be more likely to arrest her than believe her.

But if Freya sent an anonymous letter, she only needed to write in detail.

Whether they believed it or not, Nolan and his squad, who were investigating the Obsidian Incident, would have to check it out, right?

The main difficulty in the Obsidian Incident was that the mastermind had concealed themselves too deeply, leaving no leads to follow.

But if they could find just one of the enemy’s hideouts or exploit a single vulnerability, the subsequent investigation should become much easier.

Acting on this idea, Freya grabbed paper and a pen and wrote down everything she currently knew:

The mastermind behind the Obsidian Incident is suspected to be affiliated with the Pentagram Alliance, a neighboring nation.

They possess not only Demon Pathway potions but also War Pathway potions.

A dilapidated blue warehouse on Dreigasse Street, in the southern part of the city, is likely one of their hideouts.

After writing this intel that would surely make the mastermind curse aloud, Freya left her apartment.

As she passed the police station, she wrapped a stone in paper, took aim, and threw with all her might.

With a smash, the stone shattered a police station window, followed by a startled cry from within: “Holy shit!”

Freya immediately fled the scene, sprinting away as time ticked by, bringing evening with it.

Previously, she had needed to patrol and stake out areas, but now that she knew the pervert’s appearance time and location, she no longer needed to do so.

She could simply time her arrival.

At the same time and place, Freya quickly spotted the dazed pervert.

This time, however, she had no intention of confronting him in public.

Instead, the moment she saw him, she waved and called out, “Reno!

Over here!”

She had learned the pervert’s name from the Boss at the Broken Axe Tavern.

Hearing his name called, Reno naturally looked over.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, he reacted like a starving man spotting a delectable cake—completely unable to resist, he lurched toward Freya.

Though he wondered how Freya knew his name, he didn’t care anymore.

After lurking outside her house for so long, the sight of his prey approaching him was too tempting to resist.

Freya swiftly turned and headed toward a secluded area, with Reno following closely behind.

Since Freya had initially called out his name, the passersby naturally assumed they knew each other, only mildly puzzled by their unusually brisk pace.

Soon, the pair arrived at a deserted alleyway.

Seeing it was a dead end with no way out, Freya slowly turned around, her breath coming in ragged gasps, Reno panting heavily right behind her.

Freya’s expression remained calm.

The first time she faced this creature, she had been shocked and terrified.

The second time, she had been serious and desperate.

But now, on their third encounter, her mindset was utterly tranquil.

She even tilted her head slightly, asking with genuine curiosity, “I’m curious—why are you always staring at me?

Why don’t you go eat someone else?”

Reno didn’t answer her question.

Freya could clearly see his pupils trembling and shifting, rapidly turning into vertical red slits—a clear sign that his rationality had snapped.

“So fragrant… Visit g.com for the full chapter.

so fragrant…”

Well, it seems asking this guy anything was a mistake.

Freya sighed, deciding to

Boom!

The punch landed squarely on Reno’s face.

He had lunged forward with incredible speed, and now he was sent flying backward with equal force.

Freya glanced at Reno, who was rolling on the ground, then looked at her right hand.

If she had to describe her current feeling in a single word, it would be: satisfying!

Was there anything more satisfying or cathartic than beating down the person who had previously humiliated her?

A faint, cruel smile curled the corners of Freya’s lips, a stark contrast to her cute appearance, giving her an unsettling aura of a beautiful, madwoman.

That punch would have shattered an ordinary person’s skull, but Reno was a Beyonder.

He slowly rose to his feet.

Even with his nose completely crushed and his face covered in blood, Reno seemed oblivious to the pain, muttering incessantly, “Smells so good…

so hungry…”

Seeing this, Freya couldn’t help but wonder: If I had drunk a Demon Pathway potion back then, would I have become like this?

Reno stumbled toward her again, and Freya moved to meet him, closing the distance between them rapidly.

With a ripping sound, his cold-colored tail lashed out, aiming straight for her face.

Freya swiftly twisted her head and dodged, but the attack still grazed her cheek, leaving a thin cut.

She winced slightly at the stinging pain.

As she twisted aside, Freya lowered her body and swept Reno’s legs out from under him.

Already off-balance, he was sent sprawling to the ground again.

Freya drew a dagger from her belt, aimed for Reno’s eye socket, and decisively plunged it in.

Thwack—

A small spray of blood splattered onto Freya’s wrist and clothes.

With this single strike, Reno’s struggling body went limp, his hands and tail collapsing lifelessly to the ground.

Huff—

Freya slowly rose to her feet, staring at the corpse on the ground.

She gently touched her cheek with her left hand, then examined the bloodstain on her fingertips.

This “speedrun” had been a success.

Next time, when she truly acted in reality, she resolved to add the word “flawless” before “speedrun.”

Freya turned and left the alley, jogging straight south through the city.

She planned to revisit Dreigasse Street—Obsidian’s hideout—to see if Captain Nolan and his team had wrapped up their investigation.

Freya had initiated this fourth simulation with three goals: to familiarize herself with her abilities, fight Reno again, and provide leads to the Special Operations Division.

She had already accomplished the first two.

Now, if Captain Nolan’s team’s investigation proved helpful in cracking the Obsidian case, Freya would report the crime using the same method when she returned to reality.

The distance was considerable.

Even with her current stamina, Freya ran for over an hour before finally reaching Dreigasse Street.

She had barely arrived and was searching for the blue warehouse when a thunderous explosion shook the ground beneath her feet.

While other passersby remained bewildered, clueless about what had happened, Freya immediately sprinted toward the source of the blast.

A dilapidated blue warehouse soon came into view.

In the very next moment, the side wall of the warehouse exploded outward, and a figure was hurled out like a rag doll, crashing to the ground near Freya.

The instant she recognized the person, Freya’s eyes widened in shock.

It was Miles, one of the three members of Nolan’s Squad, now clearly gasping for breath.

When Miles saw Freya, he mistook her for a passerby and weakly raised a hand, his voice raspy as he gasped, “Run…

get away from here…”

But instead of fleeing, Freya sprinted toward the warehouse.

Having served in Nolan’s Squad, she knew Captain Nolan’s modus operandi: he always positioned his teammates in safe areas to provide support while charging ahead himself.

Miles’ battered state meant the captain, who always led the charge, had likely met a grim fate.

Captain Nolan is Rank 4!

The city had eight Special Operations Squads, with Nolan’s Squad being the smallest.

The main reason they could maintain such a small number and remain unscathed was undoubtedly Captain Nolan’s exceptional strength.

Without exaggeration, among the eight captains, Nolan was the strongest.

In other words, Nolan was Auxerre City’s publicly acknowledged strongest “official Beyonder.”

Freya leaped lightly to the shattered warehouse wall Miles had just smashed through.

Inside, she saw a dense crowd of figures—at least thirty or forty—standing shoulder to shoulder.

Men and women, fat and thin, wearing diverse clothing, they appeared like ordinary passersby.

Yet their faces wore eerily mechanical, numb expressions, as if they were puppets controlled by strings.

At the center of the warehouse, Captain Nolan was surrounded by this crowd.

Each person wielded a weapon, stabbing relentlessly from every angle.

Countless sharp blades pierced his body, turning him into a human pincushion.

Blood trickled continuously from the corner of his mouth, his lips trembling slightly, his face etched with disbelief.

“I never imagined…”

Freya couldn’t hear what Nolan said next.

With a whistling crack through the air, the attack was simply too fast.

Even with her greatly enhanced physical abilities as a Beyonder, she couldn’t evade it at all.

All she could manage was a slight tilt of her head, glancing toward the source of the attack.

She thought she caught a glimpse of a red shadow.

Then, Freya lost consciousness.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself back in the school restroom—the very place where she had initiated her fourth simulation.

A small prompt appeared before her:

[Simulation complete.

Duration: 7 hours.

Save this save slot?]

Without a doubt, she had been instantly killed—a one-hit KO.

Because death had come so swiftly, she hadn’t felt any pain.

She couldn’t decide whether this was good news or bad.

Freya scoffed, “This prompt is pointless.

Why would I ever save a save slot where I died?”

Watching the simulation cool down for another hour, Freya returned to the classroom and resumed her regular classes.

This time, however, she didn’t rush to start a new simulation as soon as the cooldown ended.

As time passed, school let out, and Freya walked home at a leisurely pace, her mind churning with thoughts.

What should she do next?

This so-called mastermind behind Obsidian was far more formidable than she had imagined.

If he could defeat Captain Nolan, he must be at least a Rank 5 Beyonder, right?

And here she was, barely Rank 1—or more accurately, she only had a Rank 1 avatar.

Her true self was still just an ordinary human.

How was she supposed to thwart the evil schemes of a Rank 5 villain?

Fresh out of the starting village, and I’m already facing the Demon Lord?

Seriously?

Truth be told, Freya was starting to feel a bit daunted.

She even considered, Since whatever this villain is up to doesn’t seem to concern me directly, maybe I should just ignore it for now?

Just as she was pondering this, Freya passed a narrow alleyway.

Suddenly, she made an abrupt turn and walked into it, then, as if realizing her mistake, awkwardly backed out and continued home.

Just one minute later, another girl emerged from the alley—her right hand bandaged, dressed differently, but bearing an identical face.

Freya had deliberately chosen the deserted alley to summon her avatar.

With the timing and location just right, she planned to quickly and effortlessly dispatch the pervert who had been stalking her.
