After receiving his name, he was finally able to access the World Archive.

The Archive was a system that dated back to the beginning of the world.

It recorded every achievement and even the smallest progression of existence.Full novel: MONSTER RISE — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Every piece of information related to one’s life was stored within it.

While being breastfed by a female goblin with a relatively clean breast, he decided to access it.

Within his mind, he spoke a single word.

‘Info’.

SKILLS: World Language (Tebanik), Monster Language (Vulcan), Human Language (Halvanish)]

In Teban, language comprehension was the only skill granted freely at birth.

Every race was automatically born with an understanding of the World Language.

Looking at his skills, he understood why he now possessed Vulcan as a monster.

But Halvanish made no sense.

After some thought, he reached the only conclusion that fit.

It was because his soul was human.

Then there was his bloodline.

Like weapons, equipment, potions, and almost everything else, bloodlines were divided into five categories: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, and Mythical.

It provided increased stats and experience at night, along with a 10% energy mutation bonus and other minor effects.

‘Could be an Uncommon-grade bloodline’, he thought with a sigh.

‘Still better than nothing.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to awaken it with some of the herbs around this place’.

Though he tried to remain optimistic, the feeling of settling for an Uncommon bloodline was like leaving a spacious apartment he had lived in all his life to stay in a single cramped room shared with a roommate.

Setting that aside, he focused on what truly mattered.

Stats.

Although stats did not automatically determine victory in battle, they provided a clear advantage.

While they increased passively with growth, they could be improved more efficiently through training or leveling one’s class.

Growth only made development easier.

At younger ages and lower levels, stats increased far more easily.

This was why more developed races devoted their early years entirely to training before allowing children to level up after adolescence.

Stat growth depended on both age and race.

A race determined biological development speed, which in turn influenced stat growth during the adolescent stage.

For goblins, adolescence occurred between thirteen and twenty months of age.

Because of their rapid biological development, their stats increased at a much faster rate.

Where another race might take a full week to increase a single stat point through training, a goblin could achieve the same in a day or two.

Yet among all his stats, one concerned him most.

Intelligence.

At his current stage, it was the only stat he could actively increase.

Improving the others required physical movement, which he was not yet capable of.

The fact that intelligence also increased mana capacity was merely an added benefit.

Fortunately, his environment was ideal.

The Calm Lillis surrounding him filled the cave with a faint, soothing presence, making it easier to focus and stabilize his mind.

When the female goblin finished feeding him, she gently placed him onto the grass.

“Strong baby suck little,” she muttered before leaving to tend to another child.

There was no concept of exclusive parenthood.

Any female could feed any infant.

As long as the children grew strong and healthy, nothing else mattered.

Alruk observed the system of care carefully.

Though it created a tight-knit survival structure, it also weakened emotional bonds, making it easier for mothers to accept loss when children died.

Eventually, they no longer knew which child belonged to whom.

Such was the cruelty of life in the wild.

Monsters followed instinct rather than reflection, unable to conceive of better alternatives.

Alruk knew that one day, he would have to change this.

But that day was still far away.

For now, the only thing he could do was meditate—the only method available to increase his intelligence at this stage.

For a goblin, he was already ahead of average.

Their typical intelligence stat was four.

With six, he was above standard.

Still, he couldn’t help comparing it to his previous life.

As a human, he had started with an intelligence stat of eleven, yet it had taken him three full weeks to learn proper meditation.

Now, he was expected to do the same in a far harsher environment.

Closing his eyes, he tried to focus.

He quickly realized his mistake.

The cave was filled with crying infants.

Even with the Calm Lillis, concentration was nearly impossible.

Though his past experience and goblin physiology meant it would not take as long this time, it would not be easy.

After an hour of failure, his brow furrowed.

‘This will take time’.

Eighteen days later, he finally succeeded.

For the first time in this life, Alruk was able to clear his mind and enter meditation at will.
