“What are you doing? Get this beast out of here now!”

Li Shiming couldn’t stand watching his precious daughter get bitten.

However, Li Yanxing completely ignored him, not even sparing him a glance.

“What are you all standing around for? Someone get in here and take this beast away to be killed!”

Seeing the Tibetan Mastiff growing increasingly frenzied, Li Shiming grew worried and urgently called for people to capture the dog.

“I’d like to see who dares to move it.”

Li Yanxing pulled up a chair and sat down, crossing his legs and lighting a cigarette. His posture was casual, utterly relaxed.

His voice was icy, his expression cold and ruthless.

He was never the elegant, refined young master of the Li family.

He was a cold, cruel devil—anyone who displeased him would pay a price they’d never forget.

Li Zhining’s screams continued to echo through the hall.

Yao Meizhu tearfully looked at Li Yanxing and pleaded, “Young Master, what is the meaning of this? Ningning is your own sister! How can you be so cruel? She’ll really be bitten to death!”

“She’s just a bastard. If she dies, so be it. Nothing worth regretting.”

“When she laid a hand on my woman, she should have known what consequences to expect.”

After Lu Chiwan was bitten by a dog last night, Li Yanxing had stirred up the entire Li family late into the night.

Yao Meizhu finally understood what was happening.

“Dad, save me! I’m going to die!”

Li Zhining screamed again. To save herself, she actually climbed up the stairs to the second floor, hiding outside the railing and clinging to it desperately, terrified that if she fell, she’d become the Tibetan Mastiff’s next meal.

“Ridiculous! Even if your sister was behind it, no one died! What’s this madness about?”

“Get someone to take that beast away, do you hear me!”

Li Shiming dismissed the matter. He looked down on Lu Chiwan’s status and actually wished his daughter had been more thorough in dealing with her, to avoid having to publicly acknowledge the Li family’s young madam as some low-class girl in the future.

It would bring shame to the Li family, just like his mother did!

Li Yanxing sat with his legs crossed, his cold eyes half-closed as he raised an eyebrow at the Tibetan Mastiff. “Such a useless beast. Can’t even finish eating a person quickly.”

The Tibetan Mastiff seemed to understand him and barked even more ferociously at Li Zhining.

Li Zhining wanted to faint but didn’t dare, looking utterly disheveled.

Yao Meizhu, afraid the Tibetan Mastiff might attack her, didn’t dare approach recklessly. She could only clutch Li Shiming’s sleeve, weeping and begging him to save their daughter.

“Li Yanxing!”

Li Shiming roared in anger. “If you don’t stop this immediately, get out of the Li family! There will be no place for you at Emperor Scenery again!”

Emperor Scenery was the headquarters of the Li Corporation.

The Li enterprise spanned the globe, reigning as the top family in Nan City, with interests in real estate, finance, entertainment, technology, and more.

As the current head of the Li family, Li Shiming could indeed expel Li Yanxing with a single word.

“Oh?”

“I don’t care.”

Li Yanxing lazily leaned back in his chair, enjoying the spectacle. “Once this bastard is dead, you can kick me out right before you collect her body.”

“You!”

Li Shiming had no way to deal with him.

Eventually, even the Old Madam was alerted.

The Old Madam had also learned about last night’s incident. Da Hei was still listlessly lying around, too afraid to go outside for fear of being buried alive by Li Yanwang.

Li Zhining was on the verge of collapse.

After all, they were still family and couldn’t make things too ugly. Moreover, no one knew how much Li Yanxing had sacrificed to secure his position at Emperor Scenery after returning from abroad.

When he first entered Emperor Scenery, he started from the very bottom.

“A Yan!”

Old Madam Li sighed softly.

Li Yanxing seemed not to hear.

The Old Madam knew it was impossible to persuade him—this grandson of hers never listened to anyone.

Unless…

East Garden.

Lu Chiwan was sleeping soundly.

“Young Mistress, Young Mistress, something terrible has happened!”

“Young Master has eaten someone!”

“What?”

Hearing A Yuan’s exclamation, Lu Chiwan was so frightened she instantly woke up.

“A Yan ate someone? My husband has this kind of hobby?”

What had she forgotten!

Lu Chiwan had no clothes of her own to wear, so she randomly grabbed one of Li Yanxing’s jackets from the wardrobe, put it on, and rushed out.

While running, she asked A Yuan, “Who did A Yan eat? Who caught his eye? Male or female, old or young, flat-headed or round-headed, fat or thin?”

Only then did A Yuan realize what nonsense she had blurted out in her panic and fear.

“Young Mistress, it’s Young Master’s dog that’s about to eat the Young Miss.”

“Oh.”

Hearing this, Lu Chiwan immediately slowed her pace, straightened her clothes, and leisurely headed toward North Garden.

A Yuan: “?”

Young Mistress, please keep running! This is a matter of life and death!

Underneath, Lu Chiwan was wearing Li Yanxing’s shirt and trousers—the pants were so long she had to roll them up quite a bit. Over them, she wore a suit jacket.

Li Yanxing was nearly 1.9 meters tall, while she was only 1.69 meters, so there was quite a difference.

Moreover, she was quite slender, giving off the impression of a child wearing adult’s clothes.

Even so, she tidied herself up neatly, fixed her hair properly, and walked gracefully at a leisurely pace to North Garden.

A Yuan could tell that after hearing it was the Young Miss who was about to be bitten to death, the Young Mistress was deliberately walking this slowly.

When Lu Chiwan arrived at North Garden, she saw Li Zhining hanging there in a sorry state. Below her, the large Tibetan Mastiff staring at her and barking incessantly was far more terrifying than Da Hei, the German Shepherd.

“Qingqing, quickly persuade A Yan. This could cost someone’s life.”

Seeing that Lu Chiwan had only just arrived, Old Madam Li looked displeased but didn’t criticize her too harshly.

“Qingqing!”

Yao Meizhu saw Lu Chiwan as if she were a savior and urgently tried to grab her hand. “Please save Ningning. I’m begging you.”

“Huh?”

“What’s wrong with the Young Miss?”

Lu Chiwan blinked, pretending to be clueless.

Li Shiming couldn’t stand her attitude—though she came from a humble background, she put on airs and acted pretentious in front of him.

Young girls these days might not have much ability, but they certainly had plenty of cunning schemes.

How could such a lowly, unrefined girl ever be part of their Li family?

“How dare you ask! This unfilial son has done such an absurd thing, and it’s all because of you, you vixen!”

Unable to do anything to Li Yanxing, Li Shiming could only vent his anger on Lu Chiwan.

Lu Chiwan: “?”

Li Yanxing glanced down at his watch and impatiently said to the bodyguard behind him, “What’s wrong with this beast? It’s taking too long. Go help the Young Miss.”

“Feed the Young Miss directly into this beast’s mouth.”

“A Yan!”

Old Madam Li’s expression changed drastically.

Yao Meizhu was so frightened she collapsed to the ground.

Li Zhining screamed, “No!”

“You, you, you…”

Li Shiming pointed at Lu Chiwan and shouted, “What are you standing there for? Stop this unfilial son!”

Lu Chiwan’s eyes darted, then she suddenly threw herself into Li Yanxing’s arms. “Husband, that dog is so big, it’s terrifying.”

“Good girl, it’s alright.”

“Beasts are more reasonable than humans anyway.”

Li Yanxing lowered his legs and lifted the young woman into his arms, kissing her forehead. “Awake already? Not going back to sleep?”

Li Shiming found them an eyesore, so Li Yanxing deliberately made a point of holding the young woman close and kissing her right there.

Lu Chiwan’s cheeks flushed. “Mm, the noise woke me up.”

“But I missed you too.”

Li Yanxing’s lips curved into a smile, extremely pleased with how well the young woman was playing along.

“Sister-in-law, I was wrong! I apologize, I admit my faults! Please tell big brother to let me go, I can’t hold on anymore! Sister-in-law, I beg you…”

It was then that the arrogant Li Zhining finally realized which deity she had offended.

“Ah, what did you do?”

Lu Chiwan tilted her head, asking with an innocent expression, “Little sister, hanging there must be exhausting. Why don’t… you jump down and talk?”

The crowd: “?”

This one… didn’t seem to be any kind of benevolent soul either.
