“Stop fooling around.”

Li Yanxing used his last shred of rationality to refuse.

“I won’t! I want to keep pestering you. I haven’t seen you for a month – I’ve been going crazy missing you.”Full novel: Mr. Li, Your Wife Has Run Away with Your Child — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“…”

Before Li Yanxing could react, Lu Chiwan raised her head and kissed his Adam’s apple as it bobbed, one hand slipping into his clothes and backing him into a corner.

The ambiguity intensified, a tug-of-war between them.

President Li couldn’t hold back anymore.

His domineering kiss carried a hint of assertiveness as he drank in the taste he’d been longing for.

It was a pleasure he hadn’t experienced in a month.

“Hubby, you have…”After a moment, Lu Chiwan looked up at him with a flushed face, excitedly said, ‘Are you better now?” I think you’re ready.”

“Hubby, let’s have a baby.”

“I’m only twenty, still very young. I asked the doctor – the earlier you have a baby, the faster the mother recovers.”

“You’re a few years older than me. If we wait a few more years to have a baby, you might not be up to it anymore.”Lu Chiwan could feel his intense change, remembering how he’d previously said he was just injured and hadn’t recovered yet.”

A month had passed – he should be better by now.

As she spoke, she began tugging at Li Yanxing’s clothes, happily murmuring, “Hubby hubby I love you, like a mouse loves rice.”

“Hubby hubby I miss you, you’re in my eyes and heart, only you belong in my arms!”

“…”

“Qingqing, stop fooling around, get down.Li Yanxing couldn’t handle how much she could toss and turn.

But he couldn’t touch her right now.

He’d never been in love before, never had a woman, and couldn’t quite figure out the feelings in his heart.

Plus, given her special identity, he couldn’t recklessly touch her like this.

Yet Lu Chiwan seemed embedded in him, stubbornly clinging to his clothes and refusing to get down.

“Be good, stop fooling around.”

Li Yanxing groaned softly, worried about hurting her. Carrying her to the bed, he finally managed to pull her off.

Lu Chiwan grabbed his pants.

“…”

He looked down, his face darkening. “Where are you touching?”

Dropping her on the bed, he turned to leave.

If he didn’t leave now, he’d really be done for.

Lu Chiwan froze slightly, watching Li Yanxing’s retreating back without saying a word.

When Li Yanxing reached the door, he sensed something was wrong. Stopping, he glanced back and immediately froze.

The young girl sat on the bed without a word, her eyes terribly red, tears falling one by one, yet she made no sound.

Silent crying was the most heartbreaking.

Truly hurt, Lu Chiwan didn’t want to say another word or try to stop Li Yanxing from leaving.

She’d always felt something was off about their relationship.

Li Yanxing was sometimes enthusiastic toward her, sometimes indifferent, always lacking the intimacy between husband and wife.

It was just too bad she’d lost her memory and forgotten everything.

Perhaps the so-called love at first sight was merely love at first sight of beauty, unable to last once the novelty faded, and this fate would scatter.

Li Yanxing stood at the door for a while, then sighed helplessly.

He took off his coat and tossed it on a nearby sofa, then walked over.

His tall figure completely enveloped the young girl.

He lowered his head, his voice somewhat hoarse. “Don’t cry. I just got back and I’m tired.”Lu Chiwan lowered her eyes, avoiding Li Yanxing’s gaze, clutching the red bed sheet gloomily.”

“Qingqing, be good?”

“You…”Li Yanxing thought for a moment, then looked up at the bedroom’s arrangement – completely like a newlywed’s room.”

He’d been startled too when he first entered.

The walls were adorned with various beautiful and festive paper-cuttings, and the table held a photo of the couple.

They had never taken one together—it was likely a composite, with many pictures sourced from his news interviews.

Above the headboard in the bedroom, balloons and streamers hung everywhere, accompanied by the words “Happy Marriage” pasted around.

So when A Xia said she had spent the entire day tinkering in the bedroom without going out, she must have been busy with all this.

This kind of ordinary happiness was something he had never experienced, nor could he ever truly understand it.

He didn’t know the joy ordinary people felt when decorating their rooms for marriage.

Nor did he have any interest in it.

But seeing the young girl so heartbroken she couldn’t speak, he couldn’t help wanting to comfort her.

“A Xia told me you were busy all day—were you decorating the room?”

He sat by the bed, reaching out to gently pat her head. “It’s beautiful, and very… cozy. I like it a lot.”

Lu Chiwan still didn’t speak.

Li Yanxing frowned, stood up, and prepared to leave.

But as soon as he rose, his legs refused to move forward.

Cursing inwardly, he sat back down and reached out to pull her into his arms, wanting to hold and soothe her.

He had no experience comforting women.

Lu Chiwan was the first woman he had ever tried to console in his life.

The girl seemed genuinely heartbroken. She pushed him away, turned her face aside, and said softly, “Go on with your work. I’m tired and want to sleep now.”

“Sleep?”

“Didn’t you say you missed me? Not anymore?”

“What’s the use of missing you?”

That remark seemed to strike a nerve. Tears welled up uncontrollably, streaming down her face.

She wiped at them frantically, but they only fell faster.

“I thought since you’d been gone so long, you’d definitely miss me.”

“I spent the whole day decorating the room, and… I even bought a pretty little dress, had red wine, steak, and candles prepared—all to welcome you back.”

“I can’t remember the past. I don’t know what we were like before. It makes me feel so insecure, as if my life is a blank slate.”

“I don’t remember my background, the people I knew, or any of my past. No matter how hard I try, nothing comes back.”

“The whole world feels unfamiliar. Only you… I just want to rely on you, because I love you, and you’re the one who loves me most.”

“Even though I don’t remember our history, every time I see you, I feel completely safe. I want to do my best to make you happy.”

Lu Chiwan sniffled, crying even harder. “But now I see I was wrong. Maybe you stopped loving me long ago, and you’re only taking care of me out of pity because I lost my memory.”

“It’s fine. I told you before—I can survive on my own. If… if you really don’t want this, we can arrange a divorce. I won’t take anything of yours.”

With that, she got out of bed, went to the drawer, and took out the unlimited Black Card.

She pushed Li Yanxing’s hand aside and forced the Black Card into his grasp.

Then she went to the wardrobe, picked out a casual outfit and a small green bag, ready to leave in the middle of the night.

Li Yanxing: “?”

Just as Lu Chiwan reached to unzip her dress, Li Yanxing suddenly stood and pulled her firmly into his embrace, holding her tightly.

“Don’t take it off.”

He leaned close and whispered in her ear, “This dress is beautiful and suits you. I like it.”

“What does ‘beautiful’ matter? You’re just saying you like it!”

“You clearly, clearly had a reaction but refused to touch me. You must hate me.”

Lu Chiwan struggled slightly.

But her meager strength was nothing to the man.

He remained completely unmoved.

Lu Chiwan’s aggrieved tears fell drip by drip, each drop landing on Li Yanxing’s arm that restrained her, every bead scalding hot.

Li Yanxing’s heart felt as if gripped by something, burning with anxiety and pain. Unconsciously softening his voice, he shamelessly admitted his incapability, “Haven’t I already explained this to you? It’s not that I won’t touch you—it’s that I can’t.”

As if afraid the words “can’t” would be branded on him forever, Young Master Li added another layer of explanation to cover up the truth, “It’s temporary, just temporary.”

“Stop lying to me! You’re still lying!”

“It’s not that you can’t, you’re… you’re…”

Lu Chiwan suddenly became agitated.

“…”
