“Uh…

this probably, maybe, has nothing to do with me, right?”

Ren Kurose was feeling somewhat guilty at the moment.Full novel: Multiverse Chat Group: I Became the Feaster from the Stars — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

There was no helping it.

He already had a history of causing incidents like this, so it was very easy for him to suspect himself.

Speaking of which, in the game, Abigail never caused this kind of corruption to Ritsuka Fujimaru.

Perhaps that had something to do with the nature of her existence.

She was merely the key through which the Outer God Yog-Sothoth could descend, rather than Yog-Sothoth itself.

That was very different from the current Ren Kurose, who had descended as an avatar of Yomagn’tho in the form of a Servant.

Besides, most of the Cthulhu-related elements in the game were essentially combinations of different concepts.

They were nothing like Ren Kurose, who had directly descended upon Chaldea as an avatar of Yomagn’tho.

Fortunately, neither Mash nor Romani thought in that direction.

“It’s fine.

Fujimaru is probably just exhausted,” Romani said.

“She only just returned from Singularity F and hasn’t had any time to rest, so she probably just needs some sleep.”

Then he asked, “By the way, can I just call you Ren Kurose?”

Even Romani had been unable to make out the first four syllables.

He had only heard the final two—

Ren Kurose.

In fact, when he tried to remember how those first four syllables had sounded, he couldn’t recall them at all.

That left Romani extremely surprised, though he merely assumed that the Servant standing before him was far from ordinary.

“Of course.

Just call me Ren Kurose from now on.”

Ren Kurose readily agreed.

If even this Servant couldn’t understand those four syllables, then Ren Kurose couldn’t be bothered saying them again.

Truthfully, Ren Kurose himself was rather surprised.

It made sense that ordinary humans couldn’t hear Yomagn’tho’s name clearly.

But Romani shouldn’t have been affected so easily.

After all— his true identity was Solomon.

After thinking it over, Ren Kurose could only attribute it to the wish Romani had once made to become a genuine ordinary human.

When he became human, he had lost the powers that once belonged to Solomon.

So perhaps it was reasonable that the current Romani couldn’t perceive the four syllables of Yomagn’tho.

Ren Kurose wondered whether Da Vinci, who still possessed the power of a Servant, would be able to hear them clearly.

Of course, there was another Servant present—

Mash.

But she was ultimately only a Pseudo-Servant, and the current Mash was still far too weak.

She hadn’t been able to hear the name clearly either.

Afterward, Mash took Ritsuka away to rest.

By the time Ritsuka woke up, it was already the afternoon of the following day.

During that period, aside from wandering around Chaldea, Ren Kurose had mostly spent his time chatting in the Chat Group.

However, as soon as Ritsuka woke up, she immediately came looking for him.

To be safe, Ren Kurose suppressed the leakage of his power as much as possible to avoid affecting her again.

This time, Ritsuka didn’t faint.

Perhaps she really had simply been too exhausted before.

“Hello.

Are you really my Servant?”

Ritsuka Fujimaru—nicknamed Gudako, the female protagonist option from the game—curiously examined Ren Kurose.

“Yes.

I already said my True Name once.

You can just call me Ren Kurose.”

“Ren Kurose?”

Gudako fell into thought.

Ren Kurose smiled.

“Sorry.

I’m not famous in human history.

I’m just an insignificant nobody.”

Gudako immediately realized that her reaction might have seemed rude and hurriedly waved her hands.

“Sorry, sorry!

That’s not what I meant.

Please take care of me from now on!”

“Likewise.”

Ren Kurose smiled and nodded.

After Mash fused with Galahad, she had formed a contract with Ritsuka directly.

Ren Kurose, however, had actually appeared through a summoning.

So in Gudako’s mind, Ren Kurose was the first Servant she had ever summoned herself.

What Gudako didn’t know was that Ren Kurose had actually been summoned by Chaldea itself.

His situation was similar to Solomon, Galahad, and Da Vinci.

It had been an autonomous summoning, not something Gudako had performed.

However, no one knew that.

And Ren Kurose didn’t mind forming a contract with Gudako either.

He could simply treat himself as the first Servant she had ever summoned.

Gudako was clearly very invested in her first summoned Servant.

She stayed there talking with Ren Kurose for quite a while before Da Vinci finally called her away.

The reason Da Vinci called Gudako over was also related to summoning.

From the previous Singularity, Chaldea had collected various magical energy crystals, as well as another kind of special substance.

They named it—

Saint Quartz.

By using Saint Quartz to summon Servants, Chaldea could strengthen its combat forces and prepare for the restoration of Human Order.

Ren Kurose suspected that Saint Quartz was something created by Alaya.

In order to jointly oppose the incineration of Human Order, it was entirely possible that Alaya had produced some special resource that would allow Chaldea to summon more Servants.

Otherwise, with Chaldea’s current strength, they would have absolutely no chance against Goetia, the mastermind behind the incineration of Human Order.

As Gudako’s first summoned Servant, Ren Kurose was naturally invited along as well.

He followed Gudako to the FATE Summoning System and watched as she performed another summoning.

For Ren Kurose, it was almost like reviewing the process through which he himself had descended upon Chaldea in the form of a Servant.

As for Gudako’s summoning— it was extremely successful.

Ridiculously successful, even.

With a single summoning session, she directly summoned three Servants:

Archer Shirou Emiya.

Saber Artoria Alter.

And Caster Cú Chulainn.

The number of Servants she pulled was exceptionally high.

Unfortunately— not a single one was five-star.
