After organizing the information he had gathered, Romani left his room.

He was planning to discuss the matter with Da Vinci.

However, on his way there, he happened to run directly into Ren Kurose, who was returning to his own room.Full novel: Multiverse Chat Group: I Became the Feaster from the Stars — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Romani’s expression stiffened.

Still, he quickly composed himself and addressed him solemnly.

“Great Deity.”

The moment Ren Kurose heard that form of address, he knew Romani had probably uncovered his identity.

He smiled.

“Looks like you already know.”

Romani didn’t deny it.

He nodded.

“Your great name is…

terrifying.”

“However, please allow me to ask—what is Your purpose?”

“My purpose?”

“The descent of a great deity such as Yourself makes me extremely uneasy.”

Romani made no attempt to hide the anxiety in his eyes.

“After all…

You feed upon celestial bodies.”

Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose smiled faintly.

“If you already know my name, then you should also know that I’ve spent a very long time in that place.”

“It’s an empty, lonely space.”

“Extremely boring.”

“And then, by coincidence, I happened to notice something rather interesting happening here.”

“So I came over to relax a little.”

Ren Kurose casually offered an explanation.

But in truth, it wasn’t even a lie.

After transmigrating and becoming Yomagn’tho, Ren Kurose really had spent far too long alone in that empty space.

It had been unbearably dull.

So when he was summoned, of course he had wanted to come here.

Romani didn’t completely believe the explanation.

Still, he visibly relaxed.

Sometimes, having no reason at all was far more frightening.

“I see.”

Romani gave a bitter smile.

“Although the current situation is hardly something worth celebrating, for the crisis surrounding Earth to draw Your gaze could perhaps be considered an honor.”

The incineration of Human Order had actually attracted the attention of an Outer God.

That alone was terrifying.

Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose merely smiled and said nothing.

Romani then spoke again, his expression becoming much more serious.

continue watching.”

“The conclusion of this disaster will undoubtedly be humanity reclaiming its future.”

He was trying to make a request.

As long as He remained interested in watching, then perhaps He wouldn’t act against Earth for the time being.

“I know what you’re thinking.”

Romani’s expression immediately stiffened.

“I can agree.”

Ren Kurose continued.

“But I have one condition.”

“Please name it.”

“When this crisis is over, I want CHALDEAS.”

Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose smiled as he stated his demand.

Romani immediately understood what he meant.

And without hesitation, he agreed.

“Fine.”

If exchanging CHALDEAS was enough to secure this deity’s attitude, then that was hardly a bad deal.

“Very good.”

Ren Kurose smiled even more brightly.

“Then I’ll look forward to the day when that thing becomes good enough for a snack.”

“Oh, right.”

“Since this is a transaction, if you ever need my help, I won’t refuse either.”

After saying that, Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose returned to his room.

Romani, meanwhile, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

At present, He didn’t seem to possess any hostility toward humanity.

But Romani still couldn’t afford to lower his guard.

According to the Cthulhu Mythos, Yomagn’tho was actually an existence with enormous hostility toward mankind.

Fortunately, He had specifically said that He would only claim CHALDEAS after the current crisis ended.

So Romani could accept the deal without hesitation.

Of course, that was because Romani had no idea what kind of crisis would occur after the incineration of Human Order.

If he still possessed his Clairvoyance and knew that CHALDEAS would later cause the Bleaching of Earth, he might have been desperate to hand the thing over to Him immediately.

…

After returning to his room, Ren Kurose opened the Chat Group.

Someone had @mentioned him.

It was Rem.

Rem: @**** · Ren Kurose, Great Deity, why did time reverse after Subaru Natsuki died?

Everything returned to the point before Subaru joined the mansion.

Even Subaru is alive again!

At this point, Rem had clearly already made her choice based on what He had told her.

After all, Rem’s body had still been extremely weak.

Even Bai Yuekui’s medicine had only been able to alleviate her condition.

So after Rem explained some of what had happened, Ram naturally chose to act for the sake of her younger sister.

She decided to kill Subaru Natsuki.

Subaru was admittedly somewhat innocent in this matter.

Unfortunately, he carried the Witch’s scent.

That alone made him impossible for them to trust.

At the same time, after learning that Rem had gone out alone and been cursed, Subaru himself had also been stunned.

It seemed that the hidden enemy responsible for everything wasn’t Ram or Rem, as he had previously believed.

So in order to uncover the true enemy— and also to save Rem—

Subaru chose to throw himself off a cliff while Ram was pursuing him.

He committed suicide.

And then— everything restarted.

Time returned to the moment when Subaru had first joined Roswaal’s mansion.

Unexpectedly, although time had reversed and the curse on Rem had disappeared, returning everything to the point when Subaru first entered the mansion—

Rem had not lost her memories of the previous loop.

That’s right.

Rem still remembered everything.

Yet the entire world around her had returned to the past.

Naturally, that left Rem utterly shocked.

She tried explaining it to Ram.

But Ram didn’t believe her.

She merely assumed Rem was exhausted.

Left with no other choice, Rem could only turn to the existence who might know the truth.

And so— she directly @mentioned Him in the Chat Group.

The other group members were stunned by Rem’s message.

At the same time, they were shocked by what she had described.

Rem…

seemed to have made contact with that unknown deity.

Perhaps she had even summoned Him directly.

That fact alone was enough to make everyone nervous.

Bai Yuekui and Mitsuri Kanroji paid especially close attention.

Particularly Mitsuri.

If Rem had successfully summoned Him without suffering any harm, then Mitsuri would feel much less pressure about asking this great deity for help in the future.

As for Ren Kurose— he didn’t reply in the Chat Group.

Instead, he directly activated the three-petaled flame mark he had left on Rem.
