In Conan’s world, he had just returned to the detective agency and finally gotten his hands on his phone.

He hadn’t been online for two days.

After all, he was still an elementary school student.Full novel: Multiverse Chat Group: I Became the Feaster from the Stars — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He couldn’t exactly keep a phone with him at all times.

Now that he had finally gotten permission to use it again, the first thing he saw was the Chat Group’s recent message history.

“Did I somehow join a gathering place for some kind of cult?”

The conversations in this Chat Group were definitely not normal.

And what was with everyone calling someone a Great Deity?

Wasn’t that a respectful way of addressing a god?

There was actually a god in the group?

No way.

“But…

these incantations are kind of interesting.”

Conan rubbed his chin and muttered to himself.

The incantations he was referring to were naturally the ones used to summon the deity.

For some reason, Conan took out a notebook and directly copied the incantation down.

“Huh?

Why did I copy it?”

Even Conan himself looked confused.

But a moment later, he simply tossed the notebook aside and stopped thinking about it.

As for the other two ordinary people in the group, Rikka Takanashi wasn’t online at the moment.

Only the socially withdrawn Hitori Gotoh was silently lurking.

She didn’t send any messages and merely watched everyone else chat.

As for how much of it she actually believed…

only she knew.

…

Rem had already finished making her preparations and set out immediately.

However, just as she was about to leave, Subaru Natsuki came over.

“Rem, let me go with you.”

During the previous loop, he had learned that Rem had gone out alone to purchase supplies and had then been cursed.

To change that outcome, Subaru intended to accompany her this time.

Rem looked at Subaru standing before her with complicated emotions.

This was someone whom she and her sister had already killed three times in a row.

And yet now, he still wanted to travel with her.

Rem could even guess why.

He was probably trying to prevent her from being cursed again.

Thinking about that made Rem feel even guiltier.

Still, her expression soon became resolute.

This time— the outcome would definitely be different.

So Rem rejected Subaru’s offer.

“There’s no need.

Rem can go alone.”

Her refusal surprised Subaru.

However, he didn’t insist.

After experiencing several loops, he had already gained a good understanding of Rem’s personality.

So he merely watched Rem leave.

Then— once she was gone, Subaru secretly followed her.

…

Everything went smoothly until Rem reached Arlam Village.

Once she arrived, His guidance finally came.

Rem’s attention was quickly drawn toward a little girl.

The moment she saw the girl holding a small dog in her arms, Ren Kurose’s voice sounded inside her mind.

“That is the person behind the curse.”

“And the method she uses to inflict it is the mabeast she’s holding.”

The answer left Rem completely stunned.

She had assumed the culprit would be some kind of curse-user.

She never expected it to be a little girl.

But this little girl was far from ordinary.

Her name was Meili Portroute.

She had once been the partner of the Bowel Hunter, Elsa Granhiert.

Because of Elsa’s death, Meili had always held a grudge against Subaru Natsuki and the others.

This time, following the orders of her “Mother,” she had begun taking revenge against Subaru, Emilia, and their companions.

However, there were still many other village children around Meili.

Because of that, Rem didn’t attack immediately.

She only glanced at Meili discreetly.

Meili Portroute didn’t seem to notice anything.

This wasn’t a suitable time to make a move.

So Rem first went to purchase the supplies she needed.

It wasn’t until she was about to return that Meili Portroute finally lost patience.

Not long after Rem left the village— she was attacked by mabeasts.

Meili Portroute was surrounded by an aura resembling miasma and possessed the ability to command mabeasts.

Although there were limits to both the quality and quantity she could control, directing dozens or even over a hundred at once was no problem.

And so—

Rem was ambushed inside the forest.

However, her opponent was unexpectedly cautious.

Meili didn’t personally appear at the scene.

That made things rather troublesome for Rem.

Meili was still inside the village, effectively using the other children as hostages.

That made it extremely difficult for Rem to deal with her directly.

Still— the immediate priority was to eliminate the mabeasts surrounding her.

Rem immediately entered her Oni state.

She also drew out her flail.

Then— the battle began.

There were far too many mabeasts.

If this had been the old Rem, she would undoubtedly have been dragged into a bitter struggle.

But now— the flame mark on her forehead flickered in and out of sight.

At the same time, crimson flames spread along her flail and wrapped themselves around the weapon.

As the flail swung through the air, even the surrounding space seemed to distort beneath the heat.

There were too many mabeasts.

And she still needed to pursue Meili Portroute.

Unfortunately, their sheer numbers kept dragging her down, leaving her unable to break free.

At that moment, Rem suddenly stopped attacking.

Then she slowly spoke.

“His name is—

Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose!”

The instant those words left Rem’s mouth, the three-petaled flame mark on her forehead suddenly manifested directly in front of her.

Terrifying flames erupted.

Even the surrounding space seemed to begin burning.

As for the mabeasts— the moment that fire appeared, every single one of them went berserk.

Then they began slaughtering one another.

Rem stared at the scene in astonishment.

She couldn’t help being overwhelmed by the power of the Great Deity.

Just moments earlier, she had been struggling to deal with the sheer number of mabeasts.

When she had begun running out of options, Yomagn’tho Ren Kurose’s voice had suddenly sounded inside her mind— telling her to invoke His name.

And so— this happened.

The results were extraordinary.

Most of the mabeasts died while tearing one another apart.

Only a small number survived until the end.

By then, their minds were already severely weakened, allowing Rem to finish them off easily.

Just as she was preparing to leave and search for Meili Portroute— the entire environment suddenly changed once again.

The corpses of the mabeasts around her vanished.

The forest that had been devastated by the battle was restored in an instant.

At the same time, the flame mark on Rem’s body suddenly flashed.

“W-What just happened?”

At that moment— the Great Deity’s revelation descended once more.

“Time has reset.”

Rem froze.

“Then…

does that mean Subaru Natsuki died again?”

Then what had she spent all that time fighting for?!

Now she had to start all over again.

However— this time, because Rem was protected by Him, her body had not been sent back to Roswaal’s mansion.

Under normal circumstances, she should have been there right now.

Instead, she remained exactly where she was.

Which meant— she needed to hurry back to the mansion as quickly as possible.

Although Rem was filled with questions about how Subaru had died and caused time to reset yet again, she had no choice but to return first.
