After galloping for a long time, Lucian confirmed that no pursuers were following him.

While escaping, Lucian noticed that Valentine hadn’t brought a horse when he arrived, which was why Lucian had killed the horse he had stolen.

When the sun hung high overhead, he finally slowed his pace.Full novel: Multiverse: Starting From Jojo’s Steel Ball Run — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Since Mountain Tim had used his life to stall Funny Valentine for him, he had to help fulfill Tim’s final words.

Lucian decided to deliver the Saint’s ears to Johnny and Gyro; this was a man’s promise.

Lucian knew that his wisest choice would have been to trade the Saint’s ears to Valentine and then use Valentine’s power in the parallel worlds to find the Locacaca fruit, as there was nothing else left for him to gain in this world.

However, not everything was about putting profit first.

Just as Lucian had said that Gyro’s future death would be fate, he had still given the information to Gyro because he hoped Gyro could overcome fate and survive.

He would wait until the Saint’s Corpse parts were gathered together before seeing if he had any hope of getting his hands on them, though he didn’t hold much hope for that.

The corpse would not be owned by anyone; the moment he tried to leave with it, fate would surely intervene.

As for Valentine, Lucian would naturally find an opportunity for revenge later.

It had nothing to do with any stance; it was purely a personal grudge.

Lucian thought to himself that after toppling Valentine, he would get some money and head to New Guinea to find the Locacaca fruit.

Once he found it, he would leave this world.

He only felt some regret regarding Mountain Tim’s final resolve.

It was a pity that after struggling, Mountain Tim still failed to overcome fate.

However, it could also be said that Mountain Tim had proactively faced his fate.

What about Soundman?

Had this man, who had escaped a certain trajectory of fate, already been caught up by it?

Perhaps he had been destroyed along with his tribe.

Or maybe Soundman was still alive and well; he didn’t seem like someone who could calmly face fate, especially since he was in a hurry to save his sister.

He rode his horse at full speed while letting his thoughts wander.

After traveling all morning, Lucian realized that not only was he exhausted, but the horse was also extremely tired.

They wouldn’t be able to hold out much longer if they kept going like this.

So, Lucian found a shady spot to stop the horse; both he and the horse needed to rest for a while.

After finishing the water, he took a long breath, and hunger immediately set in.

The morning’s travel had left Lucian both thirsty and hungry.

After resting for a bit, he pulled a few extremely hard biscuits from the saddlebag and began to gnaw on them.

These biscuits were so hard they could practically block bullets, and it took quite an effort to swallow the crumbs.

Being a cowboy was no easy job.

After grabbing a quick bite, Lucian finally had the time to experiment with the diamond he had obtained earlier to see what it could do.

Since everyone in the parallel worlds was fighting for it, it had to be quite precious.

Lucian pulled the diamond containing mysterious power from his robe and examined it closely.

The diamond sparkled in the sunlight; just by gripping it tightly, one could feel the powerful energy contained within.

Since it was a mystical item from Jojo, this diamond was most likely used to strengthen a Stand.

Therefore, simply holding it in his physical hand probably wouldn’t do anything.

If it were an arrow, Lucian would know how to use it.

Thinking of this, Lucian tossed the diamond above his head, and Heartsteel emerged to catch it.

No magical change occurred.

Lucian wondered if he had to control the Stand to eat the diamond.

But he quickly dismissed that impractical idea; no matter how he thought about it, that couldn’t be the way to use it.

He held the diamond up to the Stand’s face in the sunlight, but it still had no effect.

Kars would be an expert at this.

It seemed its usage was different from the Red Stone of Aja as well.

When the diamond was brought close to the Stand’s chest, the golden heart began to beat violently.

So, Lucian inserted the diamond through the hollow gaps next to the golden heart.

The moment it touched the heart, the diamond melted, turning into a liquid that flowed into the heart.

Fortunately, this Stand’s torso was hollow.

Lucian also felt as if something had appeared in his own heart; the Stand was affecting his physical body.

A faint light seemed to radiate from the Stand’s surface, but it quickly vanished.

After the diamond fully integrated, the Stand’s appearance didn’t change much, except that the gears on its shoulders turned into a diamond material, crystal clear and translucent.

Previously, the gears had a brass-like feel.

It was like upgrading from Tusk Act 1 to Tusk Act 2.

Now, Lucian could bestow more specific types of metallic properties onto soft objects, rather than being limited to common traits like hardness or conductivity.

However, radioactive and chemical properties were not acquired this way.

Perhaps such an upgrade would only happen the moment a stand arrow was thrust into his chest.

Thinking of this, Lucian once again hoped the world behind the door was one of the first four parts.

For him, as long as he could go to the first four parts, a stand arrow would be very easy to obtain.

The Stand touched Lucian’s arm, and the flesh of his arm immediately took on a fluid quality.

In that moment, his arm successfully gained the fluidity of mercury, but since bones were not soft objects, they remained unchanged.

If he needed to use this method to dodge bullets, he would have to avoid his bones.

Moreover, rather than passing through, the bullets were more likely to become embedded in the flesh.

Therefore, it was still better to use hardened skin to withstand bullets.

This fluid application could be used for healing; when flesh could flow, wounds could naturally be healed easily.

The fake Crazy Diamond repairs items.

The real Crazy Diamond acts directly on flesh.

The ability obtained through the diamond could truly be called Crazy Diamond.

Overall, after this evolution, Lucian’s combat methods became more diverse; from now on, he could act as a partial healer.

However, the effect was far inferior to Hot Pants’s Cream Starter.

Then, Hot Pants’s application of Cream Starter gave Lucian some inspiration: if flesh could flow, he could naturally change his appearance.

Although his height and weight couldn’t be altered, his face could be modified.

No sooner said than done; Lucian’s appearance quickly changed.

This ability of his was essentially a simplified version of Cream Starter.

After resting for a while, Lucian set out on the road again.

Now he was going to catch up with Johnny and Gyro.

The good news was that the distance between them shouldn’t be too far.
