Skye’s POV
His jaw tightened.
His nostrils flared.
And something behind his eyes shifted from cold fury into something else entirely‚ something darker‚ hungrier‚ more primal than anything I had ever seen on a human face.
He moved so fast I didn’t even register what was happening until my back hit the elevator wall and his hand was on my jaw‚ tilting my face up toward his.
His grip wasn’t gentle‚ not even close‚ but it wasn’t painful either.
It was firm and absolute and completely inescapable‚ his fingers pressing into the soft skin beneath my chin‚ forcing me to look directly into his eyes from barely three inches away.
“A caveman‚” he repeated‚ his breath hot against my lips.
“Is that what you think I am?”
”Let go of me‚” I whispered‚ but my voice came out breathless and weak.
“Answer me.”
”You’re acting like one‚ so yes‚ if the description fits then—”
He kissed me.
No.
Kissed was too soft a word for what he did.
He crushed his mouth against mine with the kind of force that told me this wasn’t about affection or desire or even attraction.
This was about ownership.
His lips were hard and demanding against mine‚ his tongue pushing past my teeth without asking permission‚ filling my mouth with the taste of him‚ dark and warm and overwhelming.
His hand slid from my jaw to the back of my neck‚ gripping a fistful of my hair and pulling just hard enough to tip my head back‚ opening me up to him at an angle that let him go deeper.
A moan escaped my throat before I could stop it.
It was involuntary‚ desperate‚ and humiliating.
He kissed me harder. This chapter is updated first at novelping.com.
His other hand gripped my waist and yanked me against his body so that every inch of me was pressed flush against every inch of him.
I could feel the heat of his chest through our clothes.
I could feel the hard ridge of his arousal pressing against my stomach through his dress pants‚ thick and insistent and impossible to ignore.
My body responded before my brain could overrule it‚ my back arching‚ my hips tilting forward‚ my fingers grabbing the lapels of his jacket because I needed something to hold onto before my legs gave out completely.
Then he pulled back.
He ripped his mouth away from mine so suddenly that I actually stumbled forward‚ chasing the contact like a reflex I couldn’t control.
His hand stayed on the back of my neck‚ holding me in place‚ keeping me close enough that I could feel his ragged breathing against my swollen lips.
“I am going to punish you.”
”W—what?!”
”For every second you spent smiling at him.
For every laugh he got that should have been mine.
For the fact that I had to stand in that doorway and watch another man look at what belongs to me.”
”Thorne—”
”Give me your panties.”
The words hit me so hard I actually stopped breathing.
“What?” I choked out‚ again.
“You heard me.” His grip tightened on the back of my neck‚ just slightly‚ just enough to remind me that he was in complete control of this moment and I was not.
“Take them off.
Hand them to me.
Now.”
”You’re insane‚” I whispered‚ staring up at him with wide eyes because there was absolutely no way he was serious.
We were in an elevator.
A moving elevator that could stop at any floor at any second and open its doors to anyone standing on the other side.
“I stopped the elevator when the doors closed‚” he said‚ reading the panic on my face like an open book.
“Nobody is coming.
Nobody will see. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
It’s just you and me in here‚ Skye‚ and I gave you an instruction.”
My face burned so hot I was sure my skin would blister.
Every rational thought in my head screamed at me to refuse‚ to tell him no‚ to remind him that I was a human being with dignity and autonomy and not some possession he could strip down on command.
But my hands were already moving.
I hated them for it.
I hated the way my fingers reached down and hooked into the waistband of my panties beneath my skirt.
I hated the way my body obeyed him before my brain even finished processing the command.
I hated the way my core clenched tight and hot when I felt the fabric slide down my thighs‚ over my knees‚ past my ankles.
I stepped out of them and held them in my fist‚ the pale blue cotton warm and damp against my palm.
He held out his hand.
I placed them in it without looking at him because I physically could not meet his eyes right now without falling apart completely.
He brought them to his face.
I heard him inhale‚ slow and deep‚ and a low sound rumbled from his chest that was barely human.
More animal.
More predator.
“This is what you do to me‚” he murmured against the fabric‚ his eyes closed‚ his expression caught somewhere between agony and ecstasy.
“This scent.
This body.
Every single part of you was made for me‚ only me‚ and the sooner you accept that‚ the easier this will be.”
