"De-Loidetor, De-Loidetor! The legend has come true!!" Suzu shrieked, terror bleeding into her voice as she looked at Iris.
"Everyone, retreat! Rory and I will try to buy some time!" Iris commanded, desperately urging the soldiers to fall back toward the safety of the base.
"Iris-sama, are you sure?!" Geldbarun cried out, his face pale with concern. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?!"
"Don't worry about us, Let's us buy sometime?!" Iris retorted, her expression dead-serious. "Now go, get your main unit out of here!"
"You guys just shut up! We have an enemy right in front of us and you still have time to argue?!" Rory yelled, completely furious.
Aggravated by the hesitation, she dashed straight toward the monster, winding up for the exact same attack pattern.
Once more, Rory cast "
Tyranny Slasher!!
"
Unfortunately, the De-Loidetor anticipated the move.
A dangerous red aura flared around the exhaust ports of its massive cannon, and within seconds, a colossal crimson beam erupted from the barrel, surging directly toward Rory with lethal velocity.
"RORY!!" Iris screamed in pure panic.
The devastating red beam collided directly with the young princess. Shockwaves rocked the clearing, and Iris dropped to her knees, completely paralyzed with grief as she watched her sister seemingly vaporize right before her eyes.
Lost in a vacuum of despair, hope completely drained from her face.
"What is the matter, Iris?"
a voice suddenly spoke out from the shadows directly behind them, sounding as if someone had been standing calmly at the edge of the clearing the entire time.
Iris slowly turned her head, her face a mask of lost hope. Standing right there in the darkness was a figure holding an unconscious, fainted Rory safely in his arms.
"Who is there?!" Iris shouted, her voice cracked with disbelief. "Rory...? Impossible. I saw her got shot right in front of me..."
As her eyes adjusted, she noticed Geldbarun drop heavily onto one of his knees nearby. "Geldbarun, why are you kneeling?" Iris asked, thoroughly confused.
Geldbarun kept his head bowed toward the figure holding Rory, shouting desperately to break the princess out of her trance: "His Majesty, Iris-sama! It is your father! Snap out of it"
Iris forced herself to focus. The man standing before her was indeed King Miyi von Shiba, though his appearance felt terrifyingly different.
His expression was deeply serious and radiating pure, unadulterated fury.
A thick, dark blue aura laced with swirling grey power rippled around his body.
Behind him, four small magic circles flickered into existence, forming a perfect square around a massive, intricate central crest.
Geldbarun and Iris stared in absolute awe, the identical question flashing through their minds: "
Could this be his power?
The sheer magnitude of his power was suffocating."
"Hmm. I take it both of you are uninjured," Miyi said coldly. "Geldbarun, take Rory for me."
"Yes, my lord," Geldbarun replied instantly, rushing forward to carefully take the fainted princess and place her gently on the ground.
Miyi stepped past them, his voice low and dangerous. "Let me finish the monster who dared try to hurt my daughter. Tsk. Do not interrupt me while I fight."
"ENEMY DETECTED. MUST DESTROY," the De-Loidetor droned, its mechanical limbs pivoting toward the new threat.
Miyi raised his right hand high above his head. Instantly, his thick aura condensed into an impossibly dense mass, flowing upward and gathering directly over his palm.
The pressure was so immense that the clouds swirled violently, the weather itself turning completely uncontrollable under the weight of his power.
Within the silence of his mind, Miyi commanded:
'
System. Limit Release
'
Deep within his consciousness, the artificial, robotic female voice of his DIVA system chimed:
"Unlock limiter: Completed.
Active combat mode: Completed.
Full access to the DIVA system: Authorized.
DIVA system shifted from Auto Mode to Manual Mode.
Welcome back, Master.
Level: Unknown.
Designation: God of the World."
With absolute finality, Miyi forcefully brought his right hand crashing down toward the earth.
"EXECUTION."
A colossal, sky-spanning magic circle erupted through the roiling clouds. An earth-shattering bang violently struck the battlefield as a massive, blinding column of blue light descended directly from the heavens, vaporizing everything in its path.
The apocalyptic beam anchored itself to the earth, roaring continuously for five agonizing minutes before abruptly cutting off.
When the light faded, the entire landscape had been completely rewritten, reduced to nothingness by Miyi's terrifying power.
Miyi quietly initiated his system shutdown:
"Lock limiter: Completed.
Inactive combat mode: Completed.
Full access to the DIVA system: Authorized.
DIVA system shifted from Manual Mode to Auto Mode.
System Report: Successfully return to Normal State."
The systemic reports flickered away as his body reverted to its normal state.
Miyi stared coldly at the empty crater where the legendary harbinger of destruction had once stood.
"This is exactly what you get for hurting my daughter," he muttered into the quiet air.
