Long ago, before the Loid Kingdom was established and Miyi became king, the world was a drastically different place.
In those dark days, a party of four adventurers entered a treacherous dungeon, fighting their way down to the absolute lowest floor. There, in the center of a highly advanced magic room, they came face-to-face with a glowing dungeon core.
Dungeon cores were the literal heart and power source of any dungeon, granting the structure the ability to endlessly spawn terrifying monsters like orcs, goblins, zombies, and the undead.
But worse than the monsters was the cores' terrifying ability to adapt; if their environment changed over time, the dungeons evolved to counter it.
The longer a dungeon core was allowed to live, the stronger it became. There was even a historical record of a mature core summoning unknown, highly advanced magical entities that looked like machines, acting as if they had crossed over from an entirely different world.
The people called these mechanical nightmares "
De-Loidetors
."
Witnesses watched in horror as a single De-Loidetor wiped out an entire kingdom using its devastating, beam-like cannons and a massive body supported by four mecha-like legs, crushing everything in its path.
It was because of this catastrophic threat that Miyi, upon becoming king, immediately ordered the systematic destruction of all dungeon cores before the world could worsen.
