The group stepped through the portal and arrived back at the mansion. Mr. Bunny led them to Nikla’s room and opened the door with the key Dante had given him.
A bright light blinded the group, and they found themselves inside a wide room with pink walls, filled with stuffed animals and posters of famous musicians. The floor was covered in a soft pink carpet, and the ceiling was decorated with hearts and rainbows.
“Nikla! Are you here?” Nero asked, looking around.
The room was empty, but there was a faint scent of perfume in the air.
“Nikla! It’s me, Kana! I’ve come to save you!” Kana shouted, her voice echoing through the room.
“No need to shout.” Nikla emerged from the bathroom, wearing a pink dress and twintails.
“NIKU!” Kristen rushed toward her, but was kicked in the face out of the way by Kana.
“Nikla? Is this really you?” Kana couldn’t recognize her friend.
“It’s me, Kana.” Nikla smiled. “I’m glad you came.”
“Are you okay?” Mr. Bunny approached her, worried. “The Putito Virus is taking over your body, and we need to stop it before it’s too late.”
“Don’t worry, Mr. Bunny. I have never felt better.” Nikla smiled and then began dancing like an anime girl.
“What the hell is going on?” Kana frowned. “This isn’t Nikla! Nikla is an edgy goth bitch! She wouldn’t dance like a retarded weeb!”
“She’s under the control of the Virus,” Mr. Bunny explained. “We need to stop it before it’s too late.”
“And how do we stop the virus?” Rea asked, recording the fake Nikla.
Mr. Bunny lowered his head. “I hate to say this, but we have to kill her. Right here, right now… This is not Nikla. This is a monster.”
Nikla gasped and stopped dancing. “Mr. Bunny! How can you say that? I thought you loved me!”
“I do love Nikla, but you’re not Nikla!” Mr. Bunny shouted, his eyes glowing. “The real Nikla would never act like this. She’s an angry, depressed, and psychotic girl who hates everything.”
“How can you say such things? I feel amazing! I’m finally free from the darkness that’s been consuming me!” Nikla’s eyes were full of tears. “I’m happy for the first time in my life, and you want to take that away from me?”
Mr. Bunny walked forward and placed his huge furry hand on her shoulder. “I’m sorry, but I have to do this.”
The rabbit was about to punch Nikla’s head, but she ducked, avoiding the attack, and ran to hide behind the bed.
“NOOOO! DON’T KILL NIKU! SHE’S SO PRETTY AND HOT!” Kristen yelled, standing between Nikla and the rabbit.
Mr. Bunny frowned, and a vein popped out of his forehead. “Move aside! This is Nikla’s only chance to survive!”
“No!” He spread his scrawny arms. “I won’t let you hurt her!”
“Fine. I’ll deal with you first.” Mr. Bunny grabbed Kristen’s head and smashed it against the floor, cracking his skull. Blood poured from Kristen’s mouth, and his body went limp.
He grabbed the back of Kristen’s head and shoved him down the toilet. He flushed it multiple times until his corpse disappeared into the sewers, leaving only a trail of blood behind.
“Nero! Seize her!” Mr. Bunny ordered, and Nero rushed toward Nikla.
“No! Stop it!” Kana shouted, but Nero ignored her. He grabbed Nikla’s arms, pinning them behind her back. Kana ran to help her friend, but Mr. Bunny pushed her to the bed and held her down, his hands on her shoulders. “Stop it! You can’t do this!”
“I’m sorry, Kana.” Mr. Bunny said, then looked at Nero. “Please, Nero! END HER LIFE! DO IT!”
“Nero! You can’t kill Nikla!” Kana shouted, tears streaming down her face. “Nikla is our friend!”
Nero looked at Kana, then at Nikla, then at Mr. Bunny. His mind was torn, but he remembered what his momma had taught him:
“NERO. WHEN YOU’RE IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE, ALWAYS CHOOSE THE ONE WHO IS THE STRONGEST. THAT WAY, YOU WILL GROW STRONGER, AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PROTECT THOSE YOU LOVE.”
His mother was very wise and powerful, and he knew that he would always follow her advice. If he wanted to protect and save Nikla, he had to listen to the strongest in the room.
And that person was Mr. Bunny.
Nero nodded. “I’m sorry, Nikla, but I have to kill you.”
Nikla shook her head, her eyes full of fear. “Nero, please! I’m your friend!”
Nero smiled. “I know, Nikla. That’s why I’ll save you.”
Nero remembered her mother’s advice to kill someone without suffering: break their neck. Nero grabbed Nikla’s head and twisted it, breaking her neck with a single motion.
A loud crack was heard.
“NOOOOOOOOO!” Kana screamed, watching as Nikla’s head was twisted 180° around by her boyfriend. “NIKLA! NO!”
Nikla’s body fell to the floor, her eyes wide open.
Soon, the whole room began to tremble, and the walls collapsed. The floor cracked, and the ceiling shattered.
The room exploded in a burst of light and sound.
Everything turned into a chaotic mess of colors and shapes, and an unseen force threw everyone around. The world shifted, and the room disappeared.
The Putito Virus was destroyed, and the group was teleported back to the real world.
Nero woke up, sweating, his eyes wide open. He was back in Nikla’s bedroom, next to the mat they had used to teleport to her mind. He looked around and saw the others waking up as well. He saw Nikla’s body lying on the bed, her eyes closed, her face pale, and her chest still.
Kana woke up with Mr. Bunny on top of her. “MR. BUNNY! GET OFF ME, YOU FAT FUCK!”
Mr. Bunny was no longer a giant, muscular man, but an adorable plush toy with cute button eyes. He had shrunk back to his original size, and he had no idea what was going on.
Rea was stuck between Chong Chong and the wall, the stinky fat boy’s farts suffocating her. She pushed him away and stood, wiping her jeans. “AAAH! FUCKING CHINK! YOUR ASSHOLE SMELLS LIKE SHIT!” She kicked his bound balls, and he screamed in pain.
And Danna Ai? Well, the loli was already standing, staring at Nikla’s body with a smile on her face. Nero and Kana joined her, looking at their friend.
“Did we make it?” Nero asked.
“Mr. Bunny, please confirm,” Kana said.
The plush toy never answered, but the group was sure they had accomplished the mission. They were back in the real world, and Nikla was okay.
Nikla opened her eyes and saw her stupid friends. “WHY ARE YOU FUCKERS HERE!?” she shouted, angry, but her eyes were full of tears.
“NIKLA!” Kana ran to her and hugged her tight, crying. “YOU’RE BACK!”
Nero smiled, feeling happy that Kana was happy.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU ALL?! GET AWAY FROM ME!” She pushed Kana away and sat on her bed, staring at everyone. “EXPLAIN WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ALL DOING IN MY HOUSE!?”
“YOU WERE DYING FROM THE PUTITO VIRUS!” Kana shouted, tears streaming down her face. “WE HAD TO SAVE YOU!”
“No, I wasn’t dying, you idiots! The virus is not even deadly!” Nikla rubbed her head. “Where the hell did you get the idea that I was dying!?”
“Well…” They turned to Danna Ai, but the loli was nowhere to be seen.
“Where’s that fucking bitch!?” Rea asked, her eyes scanning the room.
“She poofed!” Chong Chong gasped, rubbing his belly. “Like a ninja!”
Nikla pointed at the Chinese boy. “Kana… why is that fucking chink here?”
Kana blinked, looking at her friend. “I have no idea.”
“KICK HIM OUT OF MY HOUSE!” Nikla shouted. “He’s not even my friend!”
Kana did as told and kicked Chong Chong out of the mansion.
“I’m sorry, Nikla! But we were worried about you, and he wanted to help,” Kana said, her eyes filled with sadness.
Nikla snorted and looked away, her arms crossed. “I had the craziest dream. You all were in my room, trying to kill me because I had some virus.”
Everyone looked at each other and realized they had been tricked. They had entered Nikla’s mind, and the Putito Virus was nothing but a fever, a simple cold. The Virus didn’t even exist. It was all Nadia’s invention to keep them busy while she changed the country's laws.
“Listen, whatever it was. It doesn’t matter…” Nikla sighed. “I guess I should thank you for being here. I… appreciate that you care about me.”
Kana’s eyes widened. Nikla had never been so sincere before. She had never thanked them, and she had never said she cared.
“YOU’RE WELCOME!” Kana hugged her friend and kissed her cheek, making Nikla blush.
“Okay, that’s enough. Get out of my house. I’m fine now.” Nikla smiled, blushing, and everyone laughed.
Rea was already gone. She had escaped the moment Nikla had woken up because she knew the psycho would want to murder her for being in her room.
Danna Ai smiled, standing on the roof of the mansion. “My job here is done.” She took a tiny mushroom from her pocket and ate it. “Now it’s time to go home.” The loli jumped from roof to roof and disappeared in the distance.
Mr. Bunny was placed on the bed again. His mission was over. He had done his job and saved Nikla’s life. The stuffed toy closed its button eyes and rested, dreaming about the adventures it’d had with its friends. He missed them already. He wished he could have stayed in their minds forever.
And Kristen? Well… He was in hell, an endless torture that would last for eternity. He was doomed to be stuck in the sewers, his soul forever trapped in the darkness and filth. His body was covered in feces and urine, and he was drowning in the disgusting waste of the world.
He couldn’t die because he was already dead.
He was stuck in an eternal hell, and he had no hope of ever escaping.
Kristen had finally found his place in the world. He would spend eternity in the shit of Nikla’s mind, and he would never see the light of day again.
