I glanced behind to see 3 wolves chasing me with all they’ve got. Their mouths slobbered, and their eyes glowed yellow with hunger! I can't get caught by that! I can't! My heart started beating harder as my legs picked up the pace to the max they could handle. I ducked between trees, leapt over thick vines and ducked underneath low tree branches. But still I could hear them. I could hear the howling and the dozens of footsteps as the wolves trailed behind me. Crap, this is bad, this is bad, this is very bad! I screamed as my leg got caught in a tree root. Fuck, not now! I tried to get back on my feet, but my trapped leg refused to budge. I looked down, and my leg was trapped between some thick tree roots, dammit! Why is my luck so damn bad!? Dammit! Dammit DAMMIT! Nothing in my life ever goes fucking right! I failed to get the scholarship to the academy. I failed to get a job, and now I’m gonna die at the hands of some fucking wolves. Why! Why! WHY! Why can't something for once go fucking right in my life!

My eyes darted towards the growl in time to see my death. The wolves laughed as they approached with their large, sharp and dripping teeth. with teeth like those… I guess I'm not even allowed a painless death, pretty fitting for the life I've had. I closed my eyes. I closed my eyes. Can I at least not watch it happen? Can Alexia give me that much? I heard the grass rustle and the growlass go silent. They must be approaching. This is it. Goodbye, world. I hope in the next life you wont hate me so much. I clenched my arms and waited and waited, waiting for the sharp fangs sinking into my flesh, but nothing came. What happened? Did they get bored? God, I hope so.
My heart was racing as I slowly cracked open my eyes. Please let them be gone, please! My eyes opened, but instead of 6 yellow hungry eyes, I was met with large purple ones.
“Nooooooooo”, I cried, please, Alexia, if you can hear me. I'm sorry. I’ll pray more often from now on. Please stop punishing me. I moved away from the eye, but that just moved closer to my face. So close, like it was examining my soul. God, why is….please I can't take anymore

Suddenly. The tentacle jerked back away from my face as it had been startled by something. The ye pulled back more and more until revealing an even worse sight: a monster surrounded by a mass of tentacles. There were so many that you couldn't even hope to count them. The eyes themselves were a whitish yellow with dark and light purple irises. Some were part of the monster's body, whilst some were attached to tentacles. And speaking tentacles, it had so many. Dark purple slithering tentacles that moved and drifted around her. I followed one of the tentacles to its base and noted that it came from her back, but you couldn’t see much of it because, from her back, a thick purple sort of miasma oozed from her; it was all unnatural.
*Whine*
How could I forget the wolves? The once terrifying wolves now whimpered in fear as 3 tentacles easily wrapped themselves around their necks. I almost felt bad for them…almost.
“Thank goodness you're alive.” The monster said. It talks…like a human. Oh God, it's intelligent. This is bad. The danger level has quadrupled. Why does Alexia hate me so much! Suddenly, the creature turned around and faced me with its large, singular eye. It gave me a smile, revealing a maw filled with loads of sharp shark-like teeth. “One sec. Let me just-“

I pulled hard one more time, and the tree root finally broke. Nope, not staying here in an instant, I was off the ground and running. I made sure to keep eye contact with the monster at all times. I need to be prepared in case it-

“Gahaaaa, my head!” I feel like I've been kicked in the head by a horse several times. Just what happened, I was running away from that monster when……when. Damn, what happened? I slowly opened my eyes and was met with a large roaring fire. Was I saved by someone? Who was it? I slowly sat up. Thankfully, the person who saved me was nice enough to cover me in wolf fur. Wait wolf fur….. wasn’t I- WAIT That's it! I remember now! I was about to be eaten by some wolves when suddenly a monster came and helped me. That doesn’t sound right. Monsters don’t tend to help humans. So what the hell happened whilst I was out?
My head scanned the area. I was in a grass clearing. Whatever rescued me had moved us to a clearing in the middle of somewhere. I'll need to get my bearings quickly, or I'll never get home. I looked up towards the sky, but was met with a wall of dark grey and a pitch-black night sky. I guess star navigation is off the menu.
I looked around the clearing some more, and it was just me and nothing else. That’s odd, they rescue me and then leave me alone in the forest? whatever it doesn’t matter. This just makes it easier for me to escape. I slowly raised my body off the floor, but as soon as I tried to move my head, I was hit by a wave of dizziness
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
I froze at the voice. I remember that voice; it was the monster. I quickly scrambled to my feet, doing my best to fight the dizziness. I looked up towards the tree tops, and there it was perched on a branch, watching me with its many eyes.
The creature suddenly fell forward and landed right in front of me.
“GET BACK!”
“Easy girl, I mean you no harm”, it said, raising its hand, and it’s errrm…… Tentacles.
“W….W….What are you”
“I’m still trying to figure that out myself. Look, please sit down. I don’t mean you any harm.”
The monster gave me a smile, showing all of its sharp rows of teeth. No harm, my ass! Calm….calm.. I need to focus on escaping. Maybe I can talk my way out. it is an inteligent monster
“Did you bring me here?” I asked
It nodded. If that’s true than she had loads of time to do something nefarious to me. Even so I’m gonna remain cautious, better safe than sorry.
“Look, thanks for the help, I appreciate it, but I’m going to leave now. My village is probably looking for me. If you let me go, I wont tell them about you, and you can live peacefully by yourself”
The creature shook its head “I don’t think that’s a good idea. its night time. I don’t know what monsters are out there, but don’t you think it would be safer to just stay here? You can leave tomorrow if you want, okay. But for your safety, please stay here”
I looked around. The monster had a point; I can't navigate, and there was no telling what was lurking there. Even the wolves from earlier shouldn’t be here in this part of the forest. But still….
My gaze turned back to the monster, its Big main eye softened as she pleaded with me. Ahh, dammit, why did I run into the one monster that happened to be really cute!
“Ok, fine. I'll stay, but we'll go our separate ways in the morning.”
The monster grew a large smile and lunged close to me with the excitement of a toddler
“Thank you! Thank you! It's been a while since I've talked to anyone. Come, sit down. Ive got so much to ask you…”
