*Gasp... cough, cough...*
Li Heng gasped for breath. A dull ache throbbed in his right forearm. The right sleeve of his school uniform was completely gone, and the exposed skin was bright red.
’Goddammit, fortune favors the bold! I should’ve been decisive like Sister Sha! If I’d been even a little bit later, I would’ve died for nothing!’
The memory of that bizarre crimson glow and the bright red, gleaming fangs still made Li Heng’s heart race. He plopped down right at the dungeon entrance and started contemplating his life.
The Teleportation Talisman had sent him directly out of the dungeon, to the spot right in front of its entrance.
"Excuse me, student. Do you need medical attention?"
Just as Li Heng was contemplating his life, two medical staff in white coats walked over.
Feeling the pain in his right forearm, Li Heng nodded and said, "Yes, please. Thank you, doctor."
"Just try to relax. Let’s get you to the infirmary."
"Save the stretcher for another student! I think I can still walk."
Li Heng looked at the stretcher the medics were carrying, waved his left hand to refuse it, and then stood up. He followed the medical staff toward the infirmary.
It wasn’t that Li Heng was trying to act tough. His only real injury was his right arm; the rest of him was fine, aside from a general soreness. He could definitely still walk.

As he got up from the ground and headed to the infirmary, Li Heng began to check the system notifications.
Although many parts of the fight were a blur, the end result was clear: he had managed to take down the heavily injured Blood Wolf King.
Li Heng didn’t care about the D-Level rating. What he cared about was what came next.
The Wolf Walk Technique!
A God-tier Dungeon!
The option to spend Soul Energy Points to re-enter Wolf King Mountain!
Putting aside the God-tier Dungeon and the option to re-enter Wolf King Mountain, Li Heng’s priority, and what had caught his eye first, was the Wolf Walk Technique.
A Rare-value, Body Technique-type Soul Energy Skill!
Based on what Li Heng knew about the value rankings for things like Soul Energy Equipment, the order from lowest to highest was: Ordinary, Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary!
He didn’t need to ask anyone. Li Heng knew in his heart that this Wolf Walk Technique alone was worth more than everything else he had gained in the dungeon combined.
He understood the principle of not flaunting one’s wealth. Moreover, Li Heng had never considered revealing the fact that he had a Golden Finger. Therefore, he would never, ever admit that he knew the Wolf Walk Technique.
After killing three sturdy wild wolves and the heavily injured Blood Wolf King, Li Heng currently had 240 Soul Energy Points.
Li Heng planned to save these Soul Energy Points for now. He would wait until he was rested and recovered, assess his current condition, and then decide how to use them.
"Young man, although the only obvious injury we’ve found is on your right forearm, we still recommend a full-body checkup."
The infirmary at Thirteenth Middle School was huge. You could even call it a full-fledged hospital without exaggeration, as it covered every department.
As he walked through, Li Heng recognized many faces from the dungeon. The surgery department was by far the most crowded.
’It seems the claws and Wolf Fangs of those wild wolves were quite sharp for the average student,’ he thought.
Twenty minutes later...
"Li Heng from Class 5, Year 3! Come get your examination report and your prescribed medication."
Minor burn on the right forearm, strained muscle in the left shoulder.
Those were the only two issues. Everything else was either a minor problem or perfectly healthy. The prescribed medicine was just oral and topical, so he didn’t need to be hospitalized.
It was worth noting that because Li Heng had previously paid for medical insurance and was still within the Alliance’s twelve-year compulsory education system, he didn’t have to pay for the medication or treatment.
With no major injuries, Li Heng finally breathed a sigh of relief. He had been worried that the explosion of the blood-red fangs might leave him with some lasting side effects.
’First, a shower. I’ll deal with everything else after that!’
His Thirteenth Middle School uniform was stained with Blood Wolf blood just about everywhere. After wearing the same outfit for a week, he figured even his underwear probably stunk enough to be used for curing salted fish.
He hadn’t really noticed it inside the dungeon, but the moment he stepped out of the infirmary, he felt incredibly self-conscious. So, he headed straight for the school’s training grounds.
These days, every school in the Alliance had training grounds to provide students with facilities for practicing basic skills, and they were naturally equipped with shower rooms.
On his way to the training grounds, Li Heng’s tattered, blood-soaked uniform attracted a lot of attention.
However, an outfit like his only drew glances and a comment or two. No one was particularly surprised or found it strange.
After all, he had clearly just come out of a dungeon, albeit in a rather miserable state.
Thirteenth Middle School’s training grounds were massive. Two fields, each the size of a standard soccer pitch, provided more than enough space for students to practice their basic skills.
He walked straight to the shower room. When a staff member there saw Li Heng approach, a look of understanding crossed his face, but he still stepped forward to ask.
"Are you a student who just got out of the dungeon? If so, please register your class and name first. We’ll give you a new school uniform, free of charge."
"Thank you!"
Li Heng nodded, offered his thanks, and after a moment, filled out his name on the form the staff member provided. He was then given a clothes box.
He placed the Wolf Blood Grass into the clothes box, closed the lid, and set it down where he could see it. The bracelet remained on his wrist. Then, he let the hot water wash away a week’s worth of exhaustion.
After showering and changing, he put the Wolf Blood Grass back into the inner pocket of his new uniform jacket and left the shower room.
According to Thirteenth Middle School’s exam schedule, after the week-long dungeon placement test for students concluded, each class was to first take attendance of the returning students and then wait for further arrangements from the school.
Before the students entered the dungeon, the homeroom teacher of Class 5 had instructed them that upon their safe return, they were to take care of any urgent matters and then report back to the classroom to check in immediately.
Although Li Heng had things he wanted to take care of and verify, his injuries and hygiene were now sorted out, and he had more than enough time to catch his breath.
After a moment’s thought, Li Heng decided to head back to the classroom to check in first. While he was at it, he could also ask about the class president Lei Huailun’s condition.
