The entire gymnasium was completely silent.

Thousands of students and parents held their breath.

The only sound was the low hum of the giant spotlight pointing right at the basketball court.Full novel: My Father’s System: Leveling Up in a Game of Killers — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The man in the white suit laughed.

The sound echoed through the massive speakers.

“You brought gloves to a war Quinn.” The Gamemaster tapped his gold cane on the shiny wooden floor.

“Look around you.

I have forty armed men.

You are just one little girl.

Give me the Cranston bio-chip right now.

Or the basketball boy dies.”

The two operatives holding Marcus pushed the buzzing stun baton closer to his neck.

Marcus squeezed his eyes shut in pain.

Quinn didn’t look at the Gamemaster.

Her dark eyes locked entirely on the two men holding Marcus.

“I don’t play by your rules,” Quinn whispered.

She activated Shadow Step.

The bright spotlight hit nothing but empty air.

Quinn vanished.

“Whoosh.”

She teleported twenty feet across the basketball court.

She appeared directly behind the two operatives holding Marcus.

They didn’t even have time to turn their heads.

Quinn planted her black sneakers on the hardwood floor.

She raised her fists.

The new titanium knuckle gloves felt incredibly heavy and deadly.

“Boom.”

She threw a massive right hook into the first man’s ribs.

The heavy metal plates smashed through his tactical vest.

The loud crunch of breaking bones echoed in the silent gym.

The operative flew sideways and crashed into the scorer’s table.

The second operative panicked.

He swung the electric stun baton wildly.

Quinn ducked cleanly under the buzzing yellow sparks.

She grabbed the collar of his tactical vest.

She pulled his head down hard and brought her knee up in a brutal jumping knee strike.

“Smack.”

Her knee collided with his white plastic mask.

The mask shattered into pieces.

He dropped to the floor entirely unconscious.

Marcus fell to the wood holding his heavy white cast.

He looked up at Quinn.

His dark eyes were wide with pure shock.

“Crawl under the bleachers Marcus,” Quinn ordered fiercely.

“Do not come out until it is quiet.”

Marcus didn’t argue this time.

He dragged himself away from the center of the court.

He knew she was not a normal teenage girl anymore.

The Gamemaster stood under the spotlight.

His blank white mask stared at Quinn.

He was furious.

“Kill her.” The Gamemaster roared into his microphone.

“Kill her right now.”

All thirty-eight remaining operatives charged at her at the exact same time.

They held steel pipes and heavy crowbars.

They formed a massive circle of death around her.

Quinn didn’t run away.

She cracked her titanium knuckles.

The first wave of five men reached her.

Quinn dropped low to the ground.

She executed a lightning-fast spin sweep.

Her heavy sneaker smashed into the ankles of three men at once.

They lost their balance and fell forward.

Before they hit the ground Quinn popped back up.

She twisted her hips and unleashed her Level 3 MMA combo.

Left jab.

Right cross.

Heavy uppercut.

Her titanium gloves hit their targets like cannonballs.

“Bam.

Bam.

BAM.” Visible shockwaves exploded in the air with every single punch.

The impact sent all three men flying backward into the crowd of attackers.

A tall operative jumped through the air.

He swung a heavy steel pipe directly at her head.

Quinn activated Iron Skin.

Her flesh hardened into solid steel.

She raised her left forearm to block the heavy pipe.

“Clang.”

The metal pipe bounced off her arm.

The operative looked completely terrified.

Quinn grabbed his wrist.

She pulled him close and delivered a devastating elbow strike right to his jaw.

He dropped like a rock.

But there were too many of them.

Two men rushed her from behind.

One hit her in the back with a wooden baseball bat.

The other kicked the back of her knee.

Quinn stumbled forward.

She caught her balance and spun around.

She jumped up high into the air.

An incredible acrobatics maneuver.

She performed a perfect aerial twist kick.

Her sneaker hit the bat guy in the chest and sent him crashing into a basketball hoop pole.

Suddenly the giant gym speakers screeched with a terrible static noise.

The Gamemaster’s microphone cut out completely.

A completely different sound blasted through the massive speakers.

It was heavy metal rock music.

The music was so incredibly loud it shook the wooden floorboards.

Then the gym lights started flashing wildly.

Red and blue strobes blinded everyone in the room.

Quinn looked up at the high balcony near the ceiling.

Elijah Cranston was standing up there.

The billionaire tech boy held his glowing laptop.

He was typing furiously.

He hacked the entire gym control system.

He was creating chaos to help her.

The strobing lights and deafening music confused the Cipher operatives.

They covered their ears and stumbled blindly.

But the flashing lights didn’t bother Quinn at all.

Her Eagle Eye skill let her see perfectly through the crazy strobes.

She moved through the chaos like a dark shadow.

She ran two steps up the wooden bleachers.

A fast wall run.

She pushed off the seats and launched herself backward into the crowd of operatives.

While floating upside down she swung her leg in a wide arc.

A brutal backflip kick.

Her heel smashed into a masked man’s face.

He hit the floor hard.

She landed gracefully on her feet.

She grabbed a steel pipe out of the air before it hit her.

She yanked it out of the bad guy’s hands and punched him in the throat with her titanium knuckles.

“Smack.”

Another one down.

But the remaining thirty men were getting smarter.

They stopped trying to hit her one by one.

They rushed her in a massive pile.

Five heavy stun batons hit her at once.

Yellow electricity shocked her entire body.

Thick crowbars smashed against her ribs and her shoulders.

Quinn groaned loudly.

She fell to her knees on the hard wooden floor.

The pain was completely blinding.

A terrifying red aura exploded around Quinn’s body.

The System pumped pure liquid fire directly into her heart.

Her Speed and Strength instantly increased by fifty percent.

The pain vanished entirely.

She didn’t feel like a teenage girl anymore.

She felt like an ancient god of war.

She looked up at the men beating her.

Her eyes glowed with a scary bright red light.

“My turn,” Quinn growled.

The ground literally trembled as she pushed off the floor.

She moved so fast the operatives couldn’t even see her.

She was just a blur of black leather and red light.

She grabbed the nearest operative by his tactical vest.

She threw him twenty feet through the air with one hand.

He crashed into a group of his friends and knocked them all down like bowling pins.

Three men swung their weapons at her.

Quinn channeled all her System energy into her right fist.

The titanium plates vibrated with a deafening high-pitched scream.

She threw a massive hook punch straight into the chest of the middle man.

Skill Activated: Sonic Strike (Lv.

“BAM.”

The sonic boom was so massive it blew the other two men completely off their feet.

The shockwave ripped the wooden floorboards right out of the ground.

Splinters flew everywhere.

The operative she hit was thrown backward across the entire length of the basketball court.

Quinn didn’t stop.

She dashed through the remaining men.

Left uppercut.

Spin sweep.

Jumping tornado kick.

Every single time her titanium gloves connected with a target a visible shockwave rippled through the air.

Bones cracked.

White masks shattered into dust.

The operatives were completely destroyed by her raw speed.

In less than two minutes all forty of the elite men were lying unconscious on the ruined basketball court.

The heavy metal music stopped abruptly.

The flashing strobe lights turned into a steady bright white glow.

The gym was completely quiet again.

Quinn stood alone in the center of the broken court.

The red Adrenaline Rush aura slowly faded from her skin.

She breathed heavily.

Her ripped school shirt was covered in dirt and sweat.

The thousands of students in the bleachers stared at her in total silence.

They just watched the quiet scholarship girl take down a private army with her bare hands.

Noah Brooks sat in the front row of the bleachers.

He slowly clapped his hands together.

His dark eyes were filled with pure obsession.

He loved every single second of the violence.

Quinn ignored him.

She turned her head and looked for The Gamemaster.

The man in the white suit was standing near the emergency exit.

He was staring at Quinn.

His hands were shaking slightly.

He finally realized that he made a terrible mistake.

He brought normal men to fight a System monster.

“You lost the game,” Quinn shouted.

She pointed her titanium fist right at his blank white mask.

The Gamemaster didn’t say a word.

He raised his gold cane and smashed the glass case of the fire alarm on the wall.

Thick white smoke instantly poured out of the vents in the ceiling.

It filled the gym in seconds.

People started screaming again and running blindly.

Quinn activated Shadow Step.

She teleported ten feet through the thick smoke toward the door.

She dashed forward blindly and grabbed the collar of a white suit.

She pulled hard and pinned the man against the brick wall.

“Got you.” Quinn raised her heavy fist to smash his mask.

But she stopped.

The man she pinned to the wall wasn’t The Gamemaster.

He was wearing a white suit but he was just a terrified school janitor.

The Gamemaster forced the poor old man to wear his jacket in the smoke.

Quinn let go of the janitor.

She looked at the heavy steel emergency doors.

They were kicked open.

The real Gamemaster escaped into the cold rainy night.

Quinn walked out of the thick smoke.

The gym was emptying fast.

Students pushed past each other to escape through the broken doors.

She walked over to the Harrington basketball bench.

Marcus was sitting under the bleachers.

He looked up at her.

He didn’t look scared of her anymore.

He just looked amazed.

Elijah ran down the stairs from the balcony.

He almost tripped over his own feet.

He hugged his laptop tight.

“Quinn that was incredible.” Elijah gasped for breath.

His face was bright red.

“You beat all of them.

You saved everyone in the school.”

Quinn looked at her blue glowing screens.

She was so close to Level 11.

“I didn’t save anyone Elijah,” Quinn said coldly.

She looked at the broken wooden floor.

“The Gamemaster got away.

He knows exactly how strong I am now.

The next time he comes for me he won’t bring normal guys with crowbars.”

Noah walked up behind them.

He handed Quinn a clean white towel to wipe the sweat off her face.

“Then you better level up very fast Solo Queen,” Noah whispered softly.

Quinn took the towel.

The secret war was completely out in the open now.

The Gamemaster was terrified of her.

And she was going to hunt him down until there was nowhere left to hide.
