“On your marks, get ready- Toga!” Our male gym teacher cut himself short, a thoroughly unamused glare on the both of us.

Toga huffed but did as she was told, dropping off my back and heading off the track, a pep to her step.

While she got some teasing and shakes of the heads from her friends, our teacher’s unamused glare was left on me, something I could only smile and shrug off.

It’d been Himiko’s idea and I wasn’t against it.

She was light compared to the weight I was quickly adjusting to, but I wanted to see by how much it would affect my time.

Lowering myself, I retook the same position the few boys lined up on the track beside were taking, those few intending on taking this seriously.

The rest were standing a bit more casually, trying to look like they were into it but not intending on bothering with any real effort.

To each their own.

“On your marks-”

I pressed my fingers a bit harder into the ground.

“-get ready-”

I raised myself a bit, prepared to take off.

“-go!” I shot clean past the starting line and dusted a vast majority of the other kids.

A few of those with quirks that naturally lent them to better physical feats like Tsu only hung close behind me for a few moments before they were left behind too.

By the time I hit the first curve of the track, losing would take more effort on my part.

But I was focused on something else I read up on.

Even if this wasn’t the annual fitness run where times were going to be paid far more attention, I was sure I could break a record here.

I’d been challenging myself to do it for quite a while.

I focused only on that, a bit of footwork keeping me from losing any speed on the curve and breezing down the next straight away.

I did the same for the next curve and quickly found myself at the starting line long before others.

+1 Silver Trait Gacha Ticket]

The window that popped up notified me of the accomplishment before one of our amazed gym teachers could stop their timers and compliment me on it.

The specific time didn’t interest me so much as the fact that I managed it, a smile crossing my face.

The good rush of accomplishment alongside a ticket.

Here’s to hoping it was something good.

[Hygienic

Common Trait

You are almost always hygienic, no bad breath or germs for you.]

I wonder what almost always meant.

If nothing else, it sounded like there could be a good chance it lowered the chance of an infection if I couldn’t immediately deal with a wound.

Maybe?

Hopefully?

The no bad breath was a minor benefit if not.

Once my group was done, Toga’s soon took to the track.

And she took off faster than most of the others she was racing alongside, though those in her group that had natural benefits from their quirks stayed ahead of her the entire time alongside a few of the sportier girls.

Either way, the training we’d started doing together was working out well for her.

XOXO

A cool breeze brushed past, rustling grass, bushes, and leaves.

Front foot further ahead and most of my weight on my back leg, I held my right hand in closed fist just above my waist and an open palm ahead of me as my eyes scanning the surrounding greenery.

I kept an ear out too, tuning out anything unrelated and trying to sort for anything unusual.

Rustle came from behind and I twisted around.

A rock, a simple pebble with nothing special about it, came flying between some bushes.

A simple tap with my palm sent it aside, more rustling coming from my side.

Nothing but-

I twisted around, picking up the snap of a branch, and redirected Himiko’s reach for me, a push sending her stumbling back.

Her dark black hair dragging along, force that ordinarily would’ve been enough to topple her over, failed to do the job, Himiko digging a foot into the ground.

She brought that foot up and I was already stepping aside as dirt came up with it.

She was quick to start scurrying away, disappearing back among the surrounding forest.

Even with my blood powering that partial transformation of hers, everything from bone to muscle made much stronger, she still knew better than to try a direct fight with me.

Fortunately, or maybe frighteningly depending on the situation, she took to all the knowledge and tactics I’d been teaching her about sneaking around that came from my trait, already on her way to be better than me at it after only a few months.

Rustling came from behind and I barely managed to deflect the fist aimed for my head.

The, appearance wise, perfect clone of me sent out series of punches and kicks.

All simple, they were still packed with far more force than what Himiko could usually manage in her partial transformation.

Unfortunately for her, she was only mimicking my body.

Without any of the skill that came with all knowledge imparted on me by Karate, only some of the basics I taught her helping her movements, dispersing and fending off all that unfocused strength was easy enough.

Blocking a punch and pushing that arm aside, I stepped in, a punch from my other arm sent forward to her gut.

She flinched, eyes widening as I stopped the blow short.

My head slammed into hers, most of the force restrained, the blow was enough to do away with her balance, Himiko stumbling back.

I didn’t know what it was, but the substance that made up her full transformations littered the ground around Himiko who was back to her actual self, hair and eye color back to normal too.

“Ugh, why do you always have to do that?” Himiko complained, rubbing her head.

“Why do you always fall for the feints?” I retorted.

Truth was I just didn’t like beating up on her, even if she could take more of a beating with my blood flowing through be a partial or full transformation.

A little tap from my head was always enough to shattered her focus though.

“Shut up.” She grumbled while coming to a stand, my eyes dropping a bit lower.

That sludge of hers somewhat mimicked clothes when she did her transformation, but she always complained about it not feeling right when she wore normal clothes beneath it.

I suggested a bodysuit like the kind of spandex heroes wore.

She had other ideas.

A black two piece swimsuit that hugged her form.

Definitely not the kind of thing anyone in a park should be wearing.

And definitely the kind of thing that drew eyes.

Himiko snickered as my eyes rose back up to meet hers.

“Maybe I should just fight you like this?

I know I’ll get my opening then.”

“You mean running away?

The way you fight is like watching a rat-”

Himiko lunged at me, taking us both to the ground.

A grapple or simple strikes.

Neither would’ve worked but it’s not like she had any other-

“Pfft!” A choked laugh left me, Himiko’s hands, slipped beneath my shirt quickly pressing to very specific spots.

She didn’t stay in any one spot too long, more laughter forced out of me by her running fingers.

It didn’t take before the whole thing went from laugh inducing to painful, laughter broken up by wheezes.

“Al-Alright, stop it.”

“Ha, then this is my win.” She said, smiling smugly as she pulled her hands back.

“Let’s not go that far.”

“You’re the one with your back on the ground, pinned beneath me.

It’s obvious that this is my win.” Pinned was a strong word.

Himiko might be good at scurrying away and constantly getting better at sneaking around, but she sure wasn’t strong enough to go claiming something like that.

And I proved it, a grasp on her and a light toss sending her away while I jumped up to my feet.

“You’re going to have to work harder than that.” I told her, dusting myself off.

“Tsk, so annoying.” She muttered, rising back up to her feet.

She was really desperate to get her first win over me.

XOXO

The end of the school year.

A break for many and an unforgettable milestone for those moving onto what came after, the latter having a good old graduation to mark the next step in their lives.

Said graduation ceremony was currently ongoing.

Obtain your Junior High Diploma

+1 Silver Advantage Item Gacha Ticket]

Looking through the window, I spent a moment examining the diploma I held in my hands before looking up.

Straight ahead, on a stage in the gym, the principal was delivering a speech accompanied by some of the faint music that’d been playing throughout the entirety of this whole thing.

The entire place was packed with students, faculty, and distant parents.

With or without those extra set of memories I doubted I would’ve cared much about this either way.

Without them I would’ve just been coasting by as a loner.

With them and, well, all the other stuff that came with it, I had other things I was more concerned with.

I was looking forward to after though; Aunt Nozomi said she’d be taking me, and, if she wasn’t busy with her own family, Himiko out to celebrate.

I’d been thinking about trying to challenge that mega beef bowl again.

Finished up with a speech I’d completely tuned out, the principal began to call up students for more specialized recognition.

Sports, music, community service; all the things that separated would be go getters from the general student body.

“Akaguro Katsuya.” The principal announced.

“For the first time in many years, our U.A.

recommended student.”

I will say that this whole Chaos Gacha System kind of ruined surprises and mysteries.

Standing, I made my way through my row and towards the stage, respectful claps and words ignored in favor of looking towards the other window I’d been looking at.

Yes, it is very awkward, but the effects cannot be denied.

The effect scales with your physical stats.

It is not incredibly potent, but it is healing, someone can lick the sweat off your abs to heal themselves.]

I closed my eyes.

My first golden ticket and this is the shit I get?

My latest silver pulls were way better.

At this point-

I released a breath, shaking my head.

That’s just how gachas were; let yourself get too invested in the outcome and you were going to end up dissatisfied without throwing money at the damn thing to get what you actually wanted.

I was still holding out hope for some kind of resistance or immunity trait to fire but it was probably better to assume that’d never come true.

Reopening my eyes I looked between the two before selecting the only one that made sense.

Healing…Fluids.

It’s like the Gacha itself knew exactly what kind of vibe the skill gave off with those ellipses, but I couldn’t pass on the obvious benefit.

Himiko drunk my blood often.

The only reason she was heading to U.A.

and consequently becoming a hero was to try and protect me, a choice which would be placing her in her in harm’s way.

Having some way to heal and possibly save her in life in one of the worst case scenarios sounded like a good roll to me, the nature of the methods aside.

I wonder if she’d suddenly notice a difference in my blood or something?

A question for another day.

Time for the item.

Apparently, they sell even affection nowadays.

Just think of the person you want to affect and rip the ticket, making them like you more.

Nope, retroactive reality and probability bending.

No unwanted side effects.

OR

Dragon Ball

Uncommon Item

Dragon Ball – A singular Dragon ball, if you gather all 7 you can summon Shenron to grant you a wish that is within his power or give yourself any ability below a 6.9 rating.]

The Silver Heart Ticket might as well have been bottom of the barrel trash rank stuff.

I haven’t even eaten any of that Soylent Green stuff, only taking one out to look at, and it had more use to me.

But the Dragon Ball was barely any better.

I’ve messed around with enough gachas to know hoping for dupes was a fool’s game unless the pool was extremely limited.

I’ve yet to get a duplicate of anything and given the whole chaos theme and all the random things that came from it, I’d been operating off the assumption the pool went beyond comprehension.

What were the chances I’d get seven Dragon Balls?

An impossible stroke of luck maybe but that impossible future was still worth more than some ticket for affection.

Picking the latter item, I spent a moment examining the orange one starred ball before letting it disappear back into the gacha’s built in storage space.

It was cool, no, freaking awesome to see something like that with my own eyes even if I probably wasn’t going to get anything out of it.

I fell back in my bed, the oddest sense of weight falling onto me at the same moment.

The Recommendation Entrance Exams.

U.A.

All Might.

All of class 1-A.

There was no backing out at this point; I was headed straight for all of that.

And yes, to any who go out of their way to look for the trait, I added blood to the description.

I assumed blood counted either way so I just added it in to the description for convenience’s sake.
