Iris’s POV
My breath ragged as Ryder finally pulled back.
My heart was slamming against my chest so hard now.
I expected him to say something dark, or push for more.
Instead, he casually reached down, clicked my seat belt into place, and settled back into his own seat calmly as if nothing had happened!
“You lost the bet, sweetheart.” I heard him say, “Now you have to do what I ask.”
I swallowed the lump in my throat, “And what is that?”
”I’m hungry,” he murmured, casting a brief glance my way.
“Cook for me tonight.”
A wave of pure relief washed over me.
That was it?
I could handle cooking.
He drove us deep into a luxurious estate where the houses looked like majestic fortresses.
When the SUV finally rolled down the long driveway of his place, my jaw dropped.
It was a magnificent duplex, the modern glass and concrete structure looming beautifully against the night sky.
He unlocked the front door and gestured for me to go inside.
The interior was stunning, with towering ceilings and pristine marble floors.
I followed him straight to the kitchen, expecting a massive, high-tech space stocked with the finest ingredients a billionaire could buy.
It was massive and high-tech all right.
However, when I pulled open the doors of the massive double-door refrigerator, I froze.
The shelves were completely empty.
I blinked, checking the cabinets, then the pantry.
Nothing.
I turned around to face him, gesturing blankly at the empty space.
Was he serious right now?
There was literally nothing in there but eggs and noodles.
I guess I would have to cook plain old noodles for him.
“I’ll wash the pot,” he murmured, stepping past me.
I moved to the side, my breath catching as his shoulder brushed mine.
I watched him stand over the sink, as he carefully started scrubbing a stainless-steel pot under the rushing water.
He looked completely out of place in the kitchen, yet he was doing it so seriously, his jaw tight and focused.
A sharp ache hit my chest.
Damian had never once set foot in the kitchen.
There was a small bowl and a fork I’d taken from the cabinet.
I cracked two eggs against the side of the bowl, letting the yolks slide inside.
I added a pinch of the spices from the noodle pack and poured it in, then began whisking the eggs.
I set that down and filled the pot he’d washed with water.
I turned on the stoves, heating the water.
My eyes darted as I searched for the fork I’d rinsed, so I could use it to stir the noodles.
“There you are,” I picked it up, cracked the noodles and emptied it into the pot.
It was first, as a shadow looming over me.
Then I felt his hands gripping my waist firm as he pulled me closer to him.
In a soft gasp, my breath hitched.
“Ryder…” I managed to call out.
“You look so hot right now, sweetheart.” He breathed out, sending a shiver down my spine.
Slowly brushing my hair away from my neck, he planted a soft kiss there, a low groan following.
I whimpered softly as his lips tickled me delightfully, my nipples tightened at the sensations he brought.
His dick was hard against my ass as he pressed forward on me.
My breath was a soft moan.
“Ryder, I need to…I need to concentrate.”
The pot was sizzling now, you could see the water evaporating.
I felt the warmth of his breath against my skin.
His hands danced, tracing my breast and gulped each in a fine grip.
My nipples hardened right there, waiting until his fingers found them.
I tried to control myself, yet I couldn’t stop my lips from parting.
I pressed my lips shut, holding in my moans.
“I wouldn’t dare distract you.” He muttered, kissing my neck again.
His hands left my breast and slid downward.
But he stopped just when they reached just between my thighs.
“I should…leave you…”
A soft sigh escaped my lips.
The fork in my hand became heavy and dropped to the ground.
Then, with his hand steadied as he tilted my head back, he looked down at me with a gaze that was both intense and commanding, a small smile playing on his lips. Get faster updates on novelping dot com.
He stepped back suddenly, the loss of his warmth leaving me feeling strangely cold.
He gave a sharp nod toward the stove before turning to walk out of the kitchen with a casual confidence.
I stood there for a long time as I tried to steady myself.
My chest was heaving, and my face felt hot as I tried to regain my composure.
After serving the food, I carried the steaming bowl of noodles over to the dining table and set it down.
He picked up his fork, and stuffed a full spoon in his mouth.
I held my breath, waiting.
A bright, genuine smile broke across his face.
“Wow, sweetheart,” he murmured, his dark eyes locking onto mine with real appreciation.
“This is delicious!”
A sudden surge of pride filled my mind.
Damian had never once complimented my cooking.
He would just stare at his plate with a cold, bored expression, eat a few small bites to be polite, and leave the rest for me to clear up.
He treated my efforts like they were beneath him.
Ryder was different.
After that single compliment, he dug in, gobbling down every single bite until the bowl was completely empty.
He set the bowl down with a satisfied sigh and leaned back in the chair, a playful glint returning to his eyes.
“I loved what I ate.” He seemed genuinely pleased.
Then, he brought out my phone and purse.
“You lost the bet, Sweetheart,” Ryder murmured, his deep voice smooth and confident.
“And now, it’s time for my condition.”
I looked him dead in the eye, raising an eyebrow.
“What do you want, Ryder?”
He leaned forward, bringing himself closer to me.
The playful smile faded, replaced by the look of a man who always gets what he wants.
“For the next three years, you belong to my schedule, sweetheart” he stated, his voice a low, heavy command.
“You cannot block my number. You cannot refuse my calls, and you cannot ignore my messages. And whenever I call you… you come to me. No excuses. No hesitation.”
My jaw tightened.
Three years?
The audacity of this man was unbelievable!
