My Isekai Dungeon Harem!

After eating and watching the entire Star Wars trilogy and prequels, I decide to head back to the other world. I’m gonna join the adventurer’s guild and see if I can get some knowledge on other dungeons I can run through. Kiki and Nix decided to stay on Earth together, as they were far too interested in my collection of movies. I had a bit of a giggle when I turned on Jurassic park and told them it was all real.

I flip up my hood, step out into the alleyway and make the portal disappear. I head towards the adventurer’s guild, which is abundantly obvious, thanks to the coat-of-arms. It’s a spear piercing through a dragon’s chest. So, pretty on the nose.

I walk in and see mostly gruff looking dudes. Leather armor, scarred, giant weapons, the usual stuff you see. As I walk in, nobody even looks at me. Other than the staff behind the counter. She nods her head at me in acknowledgement, which I return as I walk to her. I pull my hood back down and watch as she blushes wildly.Full novel: My Isekai Dungeon Harem! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Of course, this pads my ego internally, as I know how attractive I am. I smile at her as I get closer and say,

“Hello. I’d like to sign up.”

She looks stunned for a few seconds before snapping out of it and stuttering cutely,

“O-oh! Of course! Uhm, can I get your name and class?”

I nod my head.

“Arthur Simmons. Mage.”

I guess I’d say mage? My status screen doesn’t show a class or anything like that. She seems to have accepted that, as she quickly put it into some kinda type writer looking thing. She takes a small sheet of brass or something and slides it between two other metal sheets. She pulls a lever that squishes the brass between them. The metals glow white hot for a few seconds before almost instantly cooling down and revealing a brass dog tag with an image of my face and my name with “Ser Mage” below. Below that is the Roman numeral I.

She waits a few seconds before picking up the dog tag and handing it to me.

“Here you are. With this, you’re officially a Brass 1 adventurer! You can take any quest one rank above or below your current rank! Pamphlets are available to explain the different aspects of what being an adventurer means!”

She motions to a wooden stand that holds small booklets with the title “Adventurer’s Friend” on the front. I nod my head,

“Thank you very much.”

I take a pamphlet and go to sit in a quiet corner of the guild, aiming for the less busy second floor. As I walk away, I hear the girls behind the counter gossiping about me,

“Oh my gosh, is he even real?”

“Are you sure he was a he?”

“He was so polite too!”

“He’s a mage as well?!”

…

I should stop listening… I don’t wanna get a big head…

After finding somewhere relatively quiet, I read the basics. Adventurers are divided into five ranks with three sub ranks underneath. They go Brass, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum. They’re all divided into I, II, and III.

Pretty easy. Not as easy as you’d normally see in Isekai manga, but easy enough. There’s no test to increase in rank, but rather a set amount of quests completed. For hunting quests, you have to turn them in at the outpost just outside the gate. Apparently, it’s illegal to drag the corpses of monsters through the streets uncovered. Makes sense.

The other stuff in there is all pretty self explanatory. After a bit, I bring the booklet back up to the front desk and grab a job off the board. For brass 1’s, the only quests available are for gathering herbs, hunting regular animals, and patrols just outside the walls. I’m not doing any patrolling, so I’ll take a few herb gathering quests and animal hunting. I got five total herb gathering quests and eight animal hunting ones. These will be pretty easy to complete. After all, I have the perfect spell for this.

After leaving the guild, I walk into an alleyway and make myself invisible before flying off. I fly out into the forest and land in a small clearing. I send my magic power out of my body in a thin wave, seeing if there’s anybody close.

This isn’t an analyze spell, sadly. I could come up with a way to make one, but that would take a while. This just tells me if there’s any creatures holding mana inside of them near me. Luckily, there’s just animals, based on the paltry amount of mana I sensed.

So, I’m gonna be summoning undead. Specifically birds and moles. I’m gonna have the birds fly up and look for animals, and the moles will dig under the ground to find the herbs. Obviously, neither are normal birds and moles. They’re monsters. The moles I’ll be summoning are herbivorous monsters, while the birds are small bird of prey monsters. The necromancy book had quite a few specific summons in it.

When I cast the spell, dozens of sickly purple magic circles appear around me, taking in my magic power and wrenching the souls of these monsters from the underworld. They also construct bodies made of mana for them to inhabit, thus giving them a ghostly form. If I had actual corpses for them to inhabit, they’d be a lot stronger, but these will have to do.

As I summoned them, I gave them their commands. The football-sized moles disappear into the ground, while the pencil-sized birds fly off into the air faster than the eye can see.

While they’re off doing their thing, I spread out my senses to try and find another dungeon. I spread my mana out in a microscopically thin sheet, trying to find bundles of mana.

I sense a few people, some monsters, and even a couple animals on the edge of becoming monsters. I sense the Cursed Labyrinth. It feels like a massive gathering of mana unlike any of the people or monsters I sensed before. Which makes sense, considering dungeons are literally created with the mana wisping off of monsters.

Unfortunately, even with hours of trying, I never could find a single dungeon. The birds and moles had long since tracked down my quarries, so I fly up into the air. For the animals, I use gravity magic and destroy their brain stems instantly. I also use gravity magic to pull the herbs up and bundle them together.

Animals aren’t like monsters, mana isn’t protecting their internals from interference like this.

After gathering everything, I coat the animals in illusion magic and float them up into the sky towards me.

I do feel bad for killing these animals, honestly. I at least took the requests that were from restaurants, butcher shops, and soup kitchens, so I know they’ll be used. Not just stuffed for some noble to hang from his wall.

Speaking of which, during my search for the dungeon, I sensed something in the town… A gathering of magic power underneath a mansion…

“Fucking slavers…”

I stare at the mansion, sitting beside other mansions and manors, clearly in the “noble” district. I found my first target. I think I have the perfect spell for them.

I cast another necromancy spell, this time channeling in some illusion magic as well to summon a banshee. This isn’t like the banshees are normally depicted as, where they scream and their scream kills you. The banshees of this world take the form of a person you’ve killed, and haunt you until you commit suicide. They then feed on the torment of your soul for the rest of their existence.

Since I’ve never killed anyone before, the banshee just takes its original form. A young woman killed by someone she trusted… Yeah, it’s sad, so I’m not gonna dwell on it!

When she appears, she slowly opens her eyes and looks at me. Honestly, she’s super pretty. Y’know. In a ghost way. She looks down at her hands then back up to me, waiting for a command. I clear my throat and speak,

“Ahem. I summoned you for one thing. There is a nobleman in that mansion over there. First, I want you to check the basement and see if there are any slaves. If there are, I want you to haunt him. I want you to ensure he never gets a single night of peaceful sleep. When the time comes, take his soul, and come back to me.”

As she bows her head and turns to leave, I stop her,

“Hold on. I travel between dimensions using a portal. If you can’t sense me, give it a day or two, and I’ll probably be back. Also, if he tries to lay a hand on one of the slaves, don’t hesitate. Take his soul immediately.”

She smiles at his, surprisingly, and bows once more before turning into mist and heading towards the mansion.

Alright! Now that that’s taken care of, time to turn in my missions!

All kill quests have to be taken to that place I mentioned before, so I float down behind it and drop the invisibility on the animals and I. I walk around the building and am instantly hit with the stench of blood.

“Ugh.”

I conjure a ball of fresh air around my mouth and nose, keeping the smell away from me. I walk in through the open door, ignoring the stares from the other adventurers hauling their kills by hand or carriage. What? I never said I was gonna hide my strength. Besides, floating a few dozen animals is child’s play.

The interior of this place is exactly what you’d expect. It looks like a giant butcher’s shop with places meant for draining blood, tables with sharp knives for dismantling, and hooks hanging from the ceiling. All the people in here are wearing face shields and some kind of primitive waterproof apron. I walk up to the only person behind a counter, a young man who’s dressed a slight amount more nicely than the other people. He greets me with a smile and a nod and says,

“Hello there! I assume you’ve got a few hunting quests to turn in, Ser Mage?”

I nod my head and float the papers out of my pocket, showing the jobs.

“I do indeed. Eight jobs to turn in. Can I turn in herb gathering quests here as well, or should I return to the guild for that?”

He nods his head and points to the table behind him,

“We can take care of those as well. You’ll still have to return to the guild for your payment, but I’ll stamp the jobs for you after we count them and ensure everything is of a good enough quality.”

I float the herbs over to the table, where a stunned worker stares at the pile. I also give them the job pages for those.

“Where would you like me to put these?”

I motion to the corpses floating around me.

“And where should I put these?”

He looks at the corpses before looking around at all the tables.

“Uhh… I guess you could put each species of animal on a different table? Could you also put the job listing for them on it?”

I nod my head and float them all onto empty tables, along with the job listings. Workers start moving to count them, and another one comes to help the lady counting the herbs and checking them. The guy behind the counter nods his head and says,

“Alright, shouldn’t take us too long to count all of this. If you wanna take a seat while you wait, we have some benches either outside or behind you.”

I nod my head and go take a seat outside. I decide to read through some more of the necromancy book, so I bring it out and cast an illusion to make it look like a normal leather bound book. I pull off my hood, and start reading, ignoring the looks I’m getting from other people.

I dunno why people are staring at me. Is it because of the fact that I’m a young wizard? Or am I just that attractive? I mean, by earth standards, I’m definitely on the more attractive side. I mean, femininely attractive.

To be fair, a lot of the men here have been gruff looking. Hell, even the women are a bit more masc on average than earth. Not complaining though. Masc women are hot as fuck.

Speaking of masc women…

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T TURN THIS IN?! I KILLED IT!”

I glance up and see a tall woman standing in front of the front desk, holding up a completely obliterated… thing… by the… leg? She’s covered in blood, causing the young man to shake behind the counter.

“T-that bulldeer is u-unusable! W-we can’t sell that to the customer! T-the job posting says that!”

I giggle lightly and start walking over. Getting a better look at her, she’s definitely not human. She’s probably around 6’2”-6’3”. She’s wearing a sports bra with fur accents, and a fur skirt/loincloth looking thing. She’s also wearing some kind of bronze colored gauntlets and greaves. Her feet look like a lions, and her hands have claws on them. Her hair is completely white, kinda like Kiki’s, but much less fluffy, and more wild. She has two short, rounded ears on top of her head. Also, her skin is grey.

I walk up behind her as she pouts about the job listing. I tap her shoulder with my staff, getting her attention. She’s clearly not understanding why they won’t take it, so I’ll explain it more plainly to her.

She turns around, and her face is… Actually kinda cute? She has long white eyelashes and golden colored eyes that are a little glossy from frustration. Her lips naturally curve into a 3 shape, kinda like Kiki, but her fangs are much longer than his. She tilts her head and asks,

“What? Are you mad at me too?”

I chuckle and shake my head,

“No, no. He’s not mad. He just can’t take it like that. You see the fur on your skirt?”

I point at her skirt. She looks down and then looks back up, lowering an eyebrow in confusion. I point back at the bulldeer roadkill,

“Would you be able to make your skirt with that?”

She thinks for a second, looking up in the air and squinting before looking back at the deer. Suddenly, she gasps and has a look of horror.

“Oh no! I broke that person’s skirt! I’m sorry!”

She bows her head to the guy behind the counter, who jumps at it a little. He shakes his head and waves his arms in front of him,

“N-no! No problem at all! I’m sorry we can’t take it!”

She keeps her head down and starts sobbing softly.

“Hic… No wonder they kicked me out… You’re so dumb Miyra.. ugh… I’m sorry…”

I smile at the guy and take her hand, leading her outside to calm down some. When I stand in front of her, she suddenly wraps her arms around me in a bear hug, almost causing the air to be knocked out of me!

“I-I’m sooooowwwwwyyyyy! Miyra’s the dumbest cat!”

I send mana through my body so she doesn’t break me. I free one of my arms and pet the top of her head, trying to calm her down before my mana runs out.

“Th-there there! It’s okay! You can always hunt another one!”

She looks up and sniffles at me, her sad look causing my heart to skip a beat…

Ah fuck… I’m into her…

“Really?”

I nod my head.

“Mhm. Though, I wouldn’t hunt more than you have to. After all, you wouldn’t want the bulldeer to go away forever would you?”

She shakes her head and stands back up.

“No! They’re too tasty!”

I chuckle and pat her arm,

“I bet they are. So, how about this time, you just do enough damage to it to kill it, okay? Hmm… Hey, Miyra, can I see your status?”

She tilts her head, confused beyond belief.

“Status? BWAH?!”

She suddenly punches at the status screen that pops in front of her. A punch I just barely dodge, feeling the wind passing over my head. I look at her status screen… Yeah this all makes sense…
