“Ashford, is she the magician you mentioned who walks on all fours?”
Ashford watched in silence as a grinning Trixie grabbed the red-and-yellow-haired girl and ran over to him.
The girl with the red and yellow hair looked completely resigned to her fate.
Trixie’s excited and surprised expression stood in stark contrast to her.
Originally, Ashford had wanted Trixie to ask the girl for some advice on magic performances, but Trixie had unexpectedly and boldly “kidnapped” her directly.
It would have been one thing to just “kidnap” her, but she even publicly humiliated her by pointing out that she walked on all fours.
“Are you two making fun of me?”
“Uh… I’m really sorry, I didn’t expect Trixie to… what’s your name?”
“Sunset Shimmer.”
“I’m really sorry, Sunset Shimmer. I didn’t expect Trixie to be so direct. I thought she would just take a photo or ask a question or something.”
Ashford was defeated by Trixie’s directness, but more than that, he was interested in Sunset Shimmer’s magic.
“Sunset Shimmer, can you talk to me about how you performed the Wall Passing Technique?”
“That’s right! The Great and Powerful Trixie came to find you for exactly that reason. Seeing as your talent for magic is so strong, I’ll allow you to be my magic assistant. Now, cheer for me!”
Trixie was shouting like a madwoman; she was certainly lively.
However, Sunset Shimmer ignored the little fool.
“I remember you. Your name is Ashford, right?”
“Did we introduce ourselves before?”
“A freshman, a top student, and someone who eats with chopsticks—is that so hard to recognize?”
Ashford looked down at the noodles he was eating with chopsticks and silently put them away.
Although he sometimes used a fork when eating noodles, Ashford was still accustomed to using chopsticks.
“Ashford, you and Trixie seem to be on good terms.”
“I don’t—”
“That’s right! Ashford helped me when something went wrong during my last magic performance, so he became my magic assistant.”
“Huh? Since when did I…”
Ashford frowned, not understanding why Trixie would say that.
In his memory, he didn’t have much of a friendship with Trixie.
But before Ashford could finish, Sunset Shimmer spoke up.
“No, Sunset Shimmer, we…”
“We did come to find you, but it’s because we want to ask you to teach us that Wall Passing Technique magic performance.”
“Hmph, is this how you ask for a favor?”
“…”
Ashford silently pulled out a fork and began eating his noodles.
The dining table had now become a battlefield where the two girls were at each other’s throats.
Sunset Shimmer felt Trixie’s behavior was too rude, while Trixie, being thick-skinned, was still asking Sunset Shimmer to teach her magic.
Sandwiched between the two women, Ashford wasn’t affected by the surrounding noise at all, slowly and methodically eating his noodles.
Quite a few students took out their phones to record this scene.
Finally, the two of them reached out simultaneously, each grabbing one of Shangguan Jingxing’s shoulders, and forcefully lifted him from his chair.
As it turned out, Ashford was taller than both of them, making the posture very awkward.
“…Ladies, could you let me finish my meal first?”
No one cared about Ashford’s needs.
The two girls’ faces were pressed very close together; at this distance, they were either going to kiss or start a fight.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, neither kissing nor fighting was likely to happen.
“Ashford, you be the audience and see whose magic skills are the highest!” they said in unison.
In the blink of an eye, the three of them arrived in the room where Trixie performed her magic.
Ashford looked down thoughtfully at the rope on his body.
When did Trixie and Sunset Shimmer tie him to the chair with a rope?
What just happened?
He had only blinked, and then he found himself tied up.
Had time stopped?
Or had it been deleted?
“Hey, why am I tied up?”
After Ashford spoke, Trixie didn’t respond.
Instead, with a spin like a magical girl transformation, her top hat, magic cape, and magic wand all appeared.
“Hmph, Sunset Shimmer, although I can’t beat you at the Wall Passing Technique, I’m definitely stronger than you in other magic.”
While Trixie’s magical girl transformation magic performance was indeed quite shocking, Ashford still wanted to know why he was tied up.
“No, can someone explain why I’m tied up?” Follow the newest chapters on g.com.
Ashford turned his gaze toward Sunset Shimmer.
Unsurprisingly, she also ignored his question.
“Trixie, you little brat, today I’ll show you what real magic looks like.”
Finally, with a graceful spin, Sunset Shimmer also began her costume transformation.
If Trixie was cosplaying a magical girl transformation, then Sunset Shimmer had now truly become a magical girl.
Looking at the beautiful dress, the magic energy wand, and the fancy decorations on her head, Ashford confusedly checked the room for any cameras.
It was so fantastical.
He really was ignorant; were magic performances actually this incredible?
But Shangguan Jingxing didn’t want to watch a magic show at all.
“Hey! Can someone explain? Why am I tied up? What happened just a moment ago?”
“Why are we here in the blink of an eye? Why am I tied up? Also, I haven’t finished my meal yet.”
Ashford’s wails echoed in every corner of the room, but Trixie and Sunset Shimmer ignored him, as if being tied to a chair was perfectly normal.
“Sunset Shimmer, come, let me show you my signature trick—Sword Swallowing!”
After Trixie finished speaking, she flicked her wrist, and the magic wand in her hand turned into a sword glinting with cold light.
Sunset Shimmer looked as if she were facing a formidable enemy; this was simply terrifying.
She hadn’t expected Trixie to use this kind of magic right from the start.
Trixie lifted the sword and stuffed it into her mouth.
Only the hilt remained outside, but it was indeed very impressive.
“Hahaha, Sunset Shimmer, are you scared yet?”
“Scared? I’m almost dying of laughter.”
“Huh?”
Trixie didn’t understand why Sunset Shimmer wasn’t afraid.
Looking down, she saw that the sword’s secret had been revealed.
It was a retractable sword.
In magic, you either really swallow it or use a retractable sword—that was common knowledge.
But getting caught during the performance…
wasn’t that a bit too embarrassing?
Ashford sat tiredly in the chair, accepting his reality.
These two girls hadn’t noticed the abnormality of the situation at all.
