“Yep, that’s me,” Ken responded, walking forward, taking a seat, and looking at the man, Dan, who was sitting in a daze.

Dan subconsciously asked,

“How did you just—”Full novel: My Master was A Protagonist — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“What?

Get here?

Didn’t you see?

I just opened the door and walked in.”

They both looked at each other, speechless.

But then Nina came over, her eyes shining like she had just seen an idol.

“Mr.

Ken, are you the one?

Am I really seeing one of the legendary heroes of humanity!?”

With a confident smile, Ken acknowledged,

“Yes.”

Nina’s eyes still shining, she continued,

“I have so many questions.

Is it true you stepped on the face of the Demon King of Galtony when the Heroes’ Party challenged him?

Is it true you’re stronger than Sir Ars?

Is it true the Vampire Queen Silvia fell in love with you the first time she saw you, and that’s why she supported the humans?

Also, can I get an autograph?”

With each question, she came closer and closer.

“Ahem, ahem.”

Someone who clearly wasn’t a fan cleared his throat from behind.

As they looked at him, Dan glared at Nina, making her step back.

“No worries, Dan, I always have time for a fan,” Ken responded nonchalantly.

Looking at Nina, he continued,

“And the answer to your questions is: yes, we were kinda equal, and yes, she did fall in love with me.

My charm is just too deadly for people.

Even a Vampire Queen can’t resist it.”

“Wow…”

Nina’s eyes were shining like stars.

“Are you here only to brag about yourself or for anything else?”

Dan looked fed up.

“What?

Can’t I visit a friend?”

“We haven’t talked in 9 years.”

“An old friend?”

“I know you’re here for something.

Just tell me why you’re here!”

“Well, you’re right.”

As if caught, Ken admitted,

“I am here for something.

I’m cashing in a favor.”

“What favor?”

Looking confused, Dan questioned.

“Hey, wait a minute, what do you mean ‘what favor’!?

“What are you talking about!?”

Dan looked even more confused than Ken.

“Really?

You lost your virginity because of me.

I gave you the pep talk so you could approach the girl.

Are you gonna deny that?”

Dan’s face darkened as he said,

“Nina, get Ken a coffee.”

“Huh?”

“Now!”

“Okay…”

As soon as she left, Dan said in a low tone,

“Are you really going to bring that up?

How dare you call it a favor!?”

“Why?”

“Because she was a freaking prostitute!”

Dan, looking livid, glared at Ken.

“Ooo… well, how was I supposed to know?”

“You didn’t know!?”

Dan scoffed.

“Are you telling me Ken, the world-famous playboy who is rumored to know exactly what kind of girl someone is and how to get with them, didn’t know she was a prostitute?”

Dan narrowed his eyes, looking at Ken.

“Well…”

Ken averted his eyes, not looking at him.

“I knew it!

You— okay, calm down, Dan, it’s okay.

Take a deep breath.”

“What are you doing?”

“Calming myself down, you idiot!”

“Hey, it wasn’t that bad,” Ken said, as if trying to salvage the situation.

“I mean, she looked beautiful, didn’t she!?

Also, don’t underestimate prostitutes, okay?

They’re more impressive than you would expect.

I mean, do you know how tough their workload is?

Do you know how hard customers try to make things for them?

They have to go through so many ups and downs every day.

It’s really impressive.”

“Are you done?”

Dan couldn’t take Ken’s bullshit anymore.

“That’s what they say to the customers,” Ken replied.

Dan facepalmed.

“Okay, why are you so angry?

Ken looked confused.

“Because she took all my money!”

“What?”

“Yeah!”

“Wait, why would she take money from you?” Ken asked, looking confused.

“She’s a prostitute, of course—wait a minute!” Dan blinked.

“Why are you surprised about her taking money when you knew she was in that kind of business?”

“Well…”

“Ken?”

“Okay, fine.

It’s because I paid her!”

“You paid her?”

“Yeah.”

“Why?”

“What do you mean why!?

You were such a wuss, and I was about to leave.

I was worried you were gonna lose confidence and turn back into a wuss.

I wanted you to be more confident in yourself, and what better way to do that than making you believe you were charming enough to get with a beautiful girl the first time you talked with her?”

Dan sighed.

“Well, to be honest, it did increase my confidence, even though I thought my first time was with a thief.

Only after some time did I realize she wasn’t a thief but a…”

“I mean, she did steal your V-card, so you’re kinda right.

But wait, didn’t you give her the money?”

“No!”

“Then how did you know she took your money?”

“Because when I woke up in the morning, she wasn’t there and my wallet was empty.

She wasn’t even in the city.”

Ken blinked, looking stunned.

“Wait, why do you have that expression?

Ken, are you hiding something?”

Ken shook his head, immediately denying it.

“Nope, of course not.

I was just surprised since I paid her and all.”

Dan’s suspicion grew stronger as he felt like Ken was hiding something, but before he could press him, someone walked in holding a tray which had a kettle, three cups, sugar, and dense cream.

At this point, both of them dropped the subject as Nina put the tray on the desk, preparing the coffee.

Dan asked,

“So why are you here again?”

“As I said, I need a favor!”

“About what?” Dan asked.

“It’s about my disciple.”

Nina’s hands stopped what they were doing as Dan’s eyes widened slightly.

They both looked stunned.

Dan couldn’t help but ask,

“Did I hear right?

You have a disciple?”
