Ding!
The Poké Ball swallowed the Great Izuchi before beginning to shake.
Perhaps because the Great Izuchi was still deeply unconscious, the Poké Ball only shook a few times before successfully capturing it.
The moment the Great Izuchi was captured, a notification appeared before Zhang Tian’s eyes.
[Great Izuchi successfully captured!]
[Great Izuchi is beginning Pokémon conversion~]
[Pokémon conversion successful!]

At Level 30, it can evolve into Great Izuchi King.
[System Notice: Monsters converted into Pokémon will remain absolutely loyal to you and will never betray you.]
“The system really is incredible. It can actually turn a Great Izuchi into a Pokémon. Not bad. Not bad at all.”
Zhang Tian was extremely satisfied with the system’s notification.
In his eyes, the most terrifying aspect of Pokémon was their potential.
Their potential was virtually limitless.
Even the weakest Pokémon could become incredibly powerful if it was trained properly and given sufficient resources.
For example, there was that one Delibird that had somehow managed to beat the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh to a pulp.
If the Great Izuchi hadn’t been converted into a Pokémon, it would never be able to compete with increasingly powerful monsters or Pokémon.
At most, it could evolve into a Great Izuchi King, and its potential would remain limited.
But now that it had become a Pokémon, the Great Izuchi had gained the possibility of becoming something far stronger.
Perhaps one day, it could even fight against powerful Elder Dragons.
Zhang Tian released the Great Izuchi from its Poké Ball, removed the tranquilizer dart, and injected it with an antidote to wake it up.
“Hrmm… hrmm…”
The Great Izuchi shook its head before looking at Zhang Tian with bright, lively eyes.
Clearly, its intelligence had increased tremendously after becoming a Pokémon.
“Great Izuchi, nice to meet you. I hope we get along.”
Zhang Tian smiled and greeted it.
Because of the system, any monster that underwent Pokémon conversion would remain absolutely loyal to him and would never betray him.
That was why Zhang Tian remained completely relaxed.
Normally, newly captured Pokémon could still be wild and difficult to control.
Some might even refuse to obey their Trainer or attack them.
Fortunately, the system had solved that problem.
Otherwise, Zhang Tian would probably have needed at least half a month—or even several months—to properly tame the Great Izuchi.
“Roar!”
The Great Izuchi nodded before rubbing its head against Zhang Tian’s hand affectionately.
After spending some time getting acquainted with the Great Izuchi, Zhang Tian began inspecting the abandoned building where they were staying.
“What’s this?”
Zhang Tian looked down at the remains on the floor.
It was the corpse of a wild boar that had been eaten almost completely.
“Pidge!”
The moment Pidgeotto saw the boar carcass, it became extremely excited and immediately flew down to feast on it.
The Great Izuchi, meanwhile, remained completely calm.
Clearly, the boar was the portion of its meal that it had left behind.
“Why is Pidgeotto so excited?”
Zhang Tian frowned slightly.
He tore off a small piece of meat and used the system to inspect it.
Soon, information about the meat appeared before his eyes.
Wild Boar Meat
Description: Meat containing powerful energy.
Consuming it regularly can gradually increase one’s strength.
“Become stronger!”
Zhang Tian’s eyes lit up as he thought of the protagonist from the Monster Hunter games.
At the beginning of the game, the protagonist wasn’t particularly strong and could only hunt relatively weak monsters.
But by the end, the protagonist could even hunt powerful Elder Dragons.
Clearly, the protagonist had grown much stronger.
And one of the reasons behind that growth was the meat of powerful monsters.
Eating that meat allowed the hunter to become stronger.
Zhang Tian wasn’t sure whether his theory was correct, but there was obviously no harm in eating monster meat.
“Pidgeotto, don’t rush. We’ll take it back and eat it there.”
Zhang Tian beckoned to Pidgeotto before activating the system and returning to his room with Pidgeotto, the Great Izuchi, and the wild boar carcass.
“Go ahead and eat, Pidgeotto.”
Zhang Tian smiled gently.
He cut off a large piece of pork and began washing it.
Clearly, he intended to eat some himself as well.
If Zhang Tian could also become stronger by eating monster meat, then perhaps he could eventually become a hunter in the Monster Hunter world and gain strength comparable to that of the monsters themselves.
After washing the meat, Zhang Tian turned on the gas stove and began cooking.
Before long, a large bowl of stir-fried pork with green peppers was ready.
Zhang Tian picked up a piece of meat and put it into his mouth.
The moment he swallowed it, he felt himself become slightly stronger.
“An illusion?”
Zhang Tian ate another piece.
The sensation of becoming stronger appeared again.
“This isn’t an illusion. I’m actually getting stronger.”
“Great! I’ve found a way to help Pidgeotto grow stronger quickly.”
“I don’t have the money to buy those expensive Pokémon resources, but I can go to the Monster Hunter world and hunt monsters to obtain their meat.”
A smile spread across Zhang Tian’s face at the thought.
After Zhang Tian finished eating, another notification appeared before his eyes.
[Congratulations! You have entered the supernatural realm and reached Level 1. Would you like to undergo Pokémon conversion?]
[System Notice: Your Pokémon conversion will be based on the hunters of the Monster Hunter world.]
[System Notice: Due to your special circumstances, Poké Balls will be ineffective against you after Pokémon conversion.]
Zhang Tian fell into thought as he stared at the notifications.
“Confirm!”
After a moment, Zhang Tian selected the confirmation option.
The Monster Hunter world was far too dangerous.
If he remained an ordinary human forever, he would eventually die there.
After all, his Pokémon couldn’t protect him forever.
There would always be moments when they were caught off guard.

“That’s a pretty good Ability. Once I find Kamura Village, I’ll have to forge some equipment and see what happens.”
After reading his information, Zhang Tian began making plans.
“Pidge!”
After eating his fill, Pidgeotto flew over to Zhang Tian.
“Hm?”
“Level 19 already? The effect is that good?”
Zhang Tian stared at Pidgeotto in surprise.
Just a moment ago, Pidgeotto had been Level 18.
After eating its fill, it had actually gained an entire level.
That was astonishing.
Under normal training, Zhang Tian estimated that it would take at least one or two months to raise Pidgeotto by a single level.
Of course, if he had enough money to purchase valuable Pokémon resources, he could probably reduce that time to six or seven days.
“Great Izuchi, come here for a moment.”
Zhang Tian beckoned to the Great Izuchi.
After feeding it several pieces of pork, Zhang Tian noticed that the Great Izuchi had become slightly stronger as well.
It hadn’t leveled up, but its aura had clearly grown stronger.
“Before becoming a Pokémon, the Great Izuchi probably didn’t have this ability.”
“It became noticeably stronger after eating only a little. If it had possessed this ability before, it would have become a Great Izuchi King a long time ago.”
“So this must be a special ability of Pokémon.”
With that thought, Zhang Tian was reminded of the protagonists from the Monster Hunter games.
The biggest difference between those protagonists and ordinary hunters was that the protagonists could grow stronger at an astonishing rate.
