“Zhang Tian?”

“I’ll remember that.”

“Oh, right. My name is Hinoa.”

She pointed toward Minoto.

“She’s my younger sister, Minoto.”

“I’ll remember your names too. They’re both lovely names.”

Zhang Tian nodded with a smile.

“Thank you for the compliment.”

Hinoa smiled slightly before nudging her Palamute’s side with her legs.

The Palamute immediately carried her toward Kamura Village.

“Wait for me, Sister!”

Minoto called out softly before hurriedly following after her.

“Kamura Village… I’m finally here.”

Zhang Tian gazed at the village in the distance, surrounded by blooming cherry blossoms, and remembered the days when he used to play the game.

“Let’s go, Great Izuchi.”

Zhang Tian urged Great Izuchi forward, slowly following the sisters.

“Welcome to Kamura Village, Zhang Tian.”

Hinoa looked toward Zhang Tian and warmly welcomed him.

“You’re too kind, Hinoa.”

Zhang Tian smiled amiably.

“You two don’t need to be so formal with each other. Let’s get into the village first.”

Minoto spoke in her soft, timid voice.

“You’re hungry, aren’t you, Sister?”

Hinoa glanced helplessly at Minoto before turning toward Zhang Tian.

“Zhang Tian, come with me.”

Hinoa knew her younger sister very well.

Under normal circumstances, Minoto would never have spoken up like that.

Unless she was hungry.

With Hinoa and Minoto leading the way, Zhang Tian rode Great Izuchi into Kamura Village.

“Great Izuchi?”

“You can tame a Great Izuchi?”

The villagers stared at Great Izuchi and began whispering among themselves.

If Zhang Tian hadn’t been sitting on Great Izuchi’s back, with Hinoa and Minoto leading the way, the villagers would probably have scattered in panic and called the Hunters for help.

Under Hinoa’s guidance, Zhang Tian arrived at the center of the village, beside the Smithy.

“Zhang Tian, please wait here for a moment. I’ll be right back.”

Hinoa looked at Zhang Tian apologetically before speaking politely.

“Sure. No problem.”

Zhang Tian nodded.

As for Minoto, she had somehow already ridden her Palamute over to the nearby Dango Shop and was happily eating.

Clearly, the beautiful Wyverian had been hungry for quite some time.

After Hinoa left, Zhang Tian didn’t wander around.

He simply waited where he was.

As far as the people of Kamura Village were concerned, Great Izuchi was still a monster capable of killing humans. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

If Zhang Tian wandered around with it, he could easily cause unnecessary trouble.

After a while, Hinoa returned with a tall, elderly man.

It was none other than Fugen, the Village Elder of Kamura Village—a powerful Hunter who was capable of driving back Magnamalo.

Although players often jokingly called Magnamalo “Fat Tiger,” making it sound far less intimidating than it really was, Magnamalo was actually an extremely powerful monster.

It stood at the top of the local ecosystem, with strength that was not inferior to that of an ordinary Elder Dragon.

Zhang Tian used the System to scan Fugen.

Fugen

Level: 89 — Lesser Deity Class

“As expected.”

The moment Zhang Tian saw Fugen’s information, he secretly nodded.

He had previously guessed that Elder Dragons should possess strength equivalent to the Lesser Deity Class, placing them on roughly the same level as legendary Pokémon such as Zapdos.

Now, his theory had been confirmed.

Fugen possessed Lesser Deity-Class strength.

Magnamalo could fight Fugen on equal terms and had even managed to gain the upper hand at times.

That meant Magnamalo should also possess Lesser Deity-Class strength.

And if Magnamalo was on the same level as ordinary Elder Dragons, then ordinary Elder Dragons should naturally belong to the same class as well.

“Welcome! Welcome!”

Fugen strode toward Zhang Tian with a hearty laugh.

“Hello.”

Seeing Fugen approach, Zhang Tian jumped down from Great Izuchi’s back and walked over to him.

“My name is Fugen, and I’m the Village Elder of Kamura Village. Welcome to our village, Mr. Rider.”

Fugen stopped in front of Zhang Tian before extending an invitation.

“I’d like to invite you to become a resident Hunter of Kamura Village. Would you be willing to accept?”

“Of course.”

Zhang Tian nodded.

“But I’d like to hear what benefits come with becoming a resident Hunter first.”

He asked politely with a smile.

“Benefits? Of course there are benefits. Quite a few, in fact.”

Fugen wasn’t offended by Zhang Tian’s question.

After all, why would someone help another person for no reason?

There naturally had to be something in it for them.

“Once you become a resident Hunter, you’ll receive the following benefits.”

Fugen raised one finger.

“First, we’ll provide you with a house free of charge, fully furnished.”

“Second, you won’t have to pay any fees when having equipment forged in the village. You’ll only need to provide the necessary monster materials.”

“Third, when you go hunting, you can eat the village’s special meals and receive their beneficial effects without paying.”

“Fourth, you’ll also receive free meals during your daily life. However, those meals will only contain meat from ordinary monsters, not powerful monsters.”

“Fifth, you’ll receive additional money for completing the village’s hunting quests.”

“Sixth, you can use the village’s Training Area free of charge.”

“Seventh, we’ll give you a powerful Palamute for free.”

“Eighth, we’ll teach you hunting techniques and combat skills free of charge.”

“Ninth, we’ll teach you Kamura Village’s unique Wirebug techniques.”

Fugen folded his arms and stroked his chin as he listed the nine benefits.

“Of course, we can’t guarantee every kind of monster egg. That depends on the circumstances.”

Fugen had suddenly remembered that Zhang Tian was a Rider capable of taming monsters, so he added another condition.

“Monster eggs?”

Zhang Tian fell into thought.

“Raising a monster from an egg consumes an enormous amount of meat.”

“Even raising a Magnamalo from an egg wouldn’t be worthwhile.”

“The amount of meat required to raise a Magnamalo would probably be enough to raise two Lesser Deity-Class monsters if I used it on ordinary monsters instead.”

“And compared with wild monsters, those raised from a young age wouldn’t have the same wild instincts or battle experience.”

“So for me, capturing powerful monsters in the wild is still the best option.”

After thinking it over, Zhang Tian had almost no interest in monster eggs.

To put it simply, monster eggs were practically useless to him.

They weren’t valuable enough to justify the resources required to raise the monsters.

“Mr. Rider, what do you think?”

Fugen smiled as he waited for Zhang Tian’s answer.

“I agree, Village Elder Fugen.”

Zhang Tian nodded.

“That’s wonderful!”

Fugen laughed heartily.

“If there’s a particular monster egg you want, I can help you find one.”

“As long as it isn’t an Elder Dragon-level creature, we can probably find most kinds.”

“No need for the monster eggs.”

Zhang Tian shook his head slightly.

“Raising them until they become powerful isn’t easy.”

“All right.”

Fugen nodded.

He then patted Zhang Tian on the shoulder.

“Young man, I have high hopes for you. Keep it up!”

“You’re too kind, Village Elder.”

Zhang Tian smiled.

” Hinoa, I’ll leave the rest to you.”

Fugen looked toward Hinoa behind him.

“Understood, Village Elder. Leave it to me.”

Hinoa nodded before walking over to Zhang Tian.

“Zhang Tian, come with me. I’ll show you your new home.”

She smiled politely.

“Hinoa, you’re being too formal.”

Zhang Tian waved to Great Izuchi before following her.

“We’ll be spending plenty of time together from now on, so there’s no need to be so formal with me.”

“Formal?”

Hinoa shook her head slightly.

She glanced back at Zhang Tian, her expression complicated.

There was anticipation in her eyes.

But there was also distrust.

“Zhang Tian… I hope you can become a legend, just like the Riders of legend.”

“If you can, perhaps Kamura Village can still be saved.”
