As Wilderness Survival was the last class for the day, we were free to go home.

I said my goodbyes to my three friends and sat in the carriage with Sera. She was already waiting for me, which did not make any sense considering she hated waiting.

"So, are you happy?" she asked.Full novel: My Sister Is The Villainess — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

"For what?"

"Because you are now one of the Awakened, obviously."

"Well, I kind of knew it. You know I am special."

She rolled her eyes and laughed at me, which was something I had anticipated.

’Looks like I cannot farm any aura,’ I thought with deep sadness.

She looked at me with a smirk and asked, "What gift did you get after awakening?"

This was the question I had anticipated the most. Well, I did not tell you about it during my awakening because I thought I ought to keep some mystery, and you should learn about it alongside Sera. Well, alright, I will be honest. I forgot about it.

Basically, after someone had awakened or killed an unorthadox creature, they received an item from the universe called a Gift. A Gift was one of the most important things in a person’s journey in the Realm of the Evil.

Just like humans and Unorthodox creatures, Gifts and weapons or items with spirtual power that a person recieved had their own hierarchy: from Latent to Awakened, followed by Bound, Sovereign and, finally, Mythical.

"I received an armor," I answered, looking into Sera’s eyes.

"What is the name?" she asked, irritated that I was not telling her everything myself and that she had to ask every question.

I decided I should not irritate her any further. After all, I knew she took revenge quite seriously.

"Starlight Hurricane," I said, which was true. The system had told me this in a notification.

"Its abilities are rather fascinating. After wearing it, the user feels as if he is carrying no weight, almost feeling like a feather and it gives at least a five percent boost in physical strength. Its rank is Awakened. The flaw, which I have hypothesized, is that it makes the user sleepy, because that is what happened to me when I wore it for ten minutes, though it might be because I was tired. Well, that is all I know about it. And I think you already know that a Gift also rises in rank along with its master."

What I had said was almost true. Though I knew the flaw, because the system had already told me the flaw, even so I had said a considerable amount of true things, which was rather shocking, considering I had lied almost every time since I had transmigrated here.

She nodded and seemed satisfied with my explanation, which was the best compliment I could receive.

"Can I ask you a question?" I said, putting on a curious expression.

"No," she chuckled.

I huffed and showed that I was angry with her.

"Alright, alright, you can ask me," she said, smiling.

I looked at her and said, "What is your gift?"

Originally, I had wanted to ask what she would do if I left her and never saw her again, but I thought that would not end well, so I changed the question.

"Well, it was this."

She held out her hand, and I saw a bronze-colored mist rising from it. The mist slowly began to solidify and finally took the shape of an object.

It was a small, golden whistle shaped like a snail shell, dangling from a cord. Its rectangular mouthpiece led to an open notch where a miniature, crimson flame danced, crackling softly whenever air passed through its shimmering metal chamber.

"It is called Sun’s Grace. When I was at Seed Core and went to the Realm of the Evil for the first time, that was when I learned its use. Once I blow it, a purifying sunlight falls on the surrounding Unorthodox creatures, and they feel immense spiritual pressure. A creature that is only Feral would die from it outright.

"That was its use when I was at Seed Core. Now that I am at Bronze Core, when I blow it, the people surrounding me feel courage and bravery, and their fear vanishes. At the same time, the Unorthodox creatures feel even more spiritual pressure. Though I have not tested it, since I have only gone into the Realm of the Evil once. Its rank is Bound. Do not tell the others, though. It is a secret between us. My friends and our parents think its rank is Awakened."

I nodded, thinking that my explanation had told Sera very little in comparison, but there was not much else I could have done. I had told her as much as I knew.

Ten minutes later, we reached our house and from outside, I could see a crowd of people gathered.

Sera looked at me with a smile and said, "Looks like we are having a celebration party!"
