Yuki clicked the Assembly option and accepted the final confirmation prompt.

Instantly, a strange sensation of weightlessness washed over him, and his consciousness was forcefully dragged away from his physical body, plunging into a deep void created by the app.

Out of the pitch-black darkness, a majestic, cinematic video introduction began to play directly before his mind.Full novel: My Slice-of-Life Reality Has a Containment Breach! — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

A sleek, metallic SCP Foundation logo slowly coalesced on the screen, spinning with flawless precision against a dark background as the bold, white words SCP Foundation materialized cleanly underneath it.

The logo faded, replaced by a sweeping, cinematic view of a dense, primordial forest blanketed in heavy, ancient fog.

A deep, commanding, and heavily modulated masculine voice echoed through the space, carrying the weight of centuries.

“Mankind in its present state has been around for a quarter of a million years, yet only a small fraction of that has been of any significance.”

The camera panned rapidly downward, diving into the dark mouth of an ancient cavern.

Inside, the cinematic imagery shifted to show a group of early humans cowering in the shadows.

Their faces were pale with raw terror, their eyes reflecting the flickering, weak orange light of a dying campfire.

“So, what did we do for nearly 250,000 years? We huddled in caves and around small fires, fearful of the things that we didn’t understand.”

The video cut sharply to a series of terrifying, towering shadows projected against the rough cave walls.

Outside the cavern entrance, giant, feathered wings beat against a stormy sky, revealing the horrifying silhouette of an enormous bird possessing the weeping face of a man.

The camera slammed down toward a rocky cliffside, where massive jagged boulders shifted and opened glowing, malicious eyes, cracking open as the stone itself came to life.

“It was more than explaining why the sun came up. It was the mystery of enormous birds with heads of men and rocks that came to life. So we called them gods and demons, begged them to spare us, and prayed for salvation.”

The scene violently transitioned, fast-forwarding through thousands of years in a breathtaking, seamless montage.

Forests fell, stone structures rose into towering modern skyscrapers, and brilliant city lights began to spiderweb across the dark surface of the globe.

The terrifying mythical beasts faded into the background, retreating into the deep corners of history as human civilization claimed the earth.

“In time, their numbers dwindled, and ours rose. The world began to make more sense when there were fewer things to fear…”

The music swelled, shifting from a historical epic to a cold, tense sci-fi thriller theme.

The cinematic view focused on a bustling, bright street filled with ordinary citizens smiling, walking, and enjoying a peaceful afternoon.

But as the camera pulled back, the edges of the screen began to warp and fracture like broken glass, revealing glitching, colorful static that hinted at the chaotic multiverse waiting to bleed through the seams of this reality.

“…yet the unexplained can never truly go away, as if the universe demands the absurd and impossible.”

The bright, sunny street scene was shattered entirely.

The video plunged back into absolute darkness, replaced by the stark, glowing green wireframe of a massive, heavily fortified blast door sealing shut with a deep, echoing hydraulic hiss.

“Mankind must not go back to hiding in fear. No one else will protect us, and we must stand up for ourselves.”

A series of rapid, high-intensity cuts flashed across Yuki’s consciousness.

A sterile, dimly lit laboratory where researchers in white coats monitored automated scanners.

A dark, reinforced concrete vault where a single statue rested under a sweeping surveillance.

A white, slender man crying, weeping at a corner as a personel approach it.

A red lake that spawns unspeakable entities, and humans fighting them back.

A doctor from the Renaissance period followed by patched bodies of humans.

An angel like wings multiplying endlessly as it swallowed an entire town.

And a line of highly trained tactical soldiers standing in perfect formation within a shadowy, subterranean hangar.

“While the rest of mankind dwells in the light, we must stand in the darkness to fight it, contain it, and shield it from the eyes of the public, so that others may live in a sane and normal world.”

The visuals slowed, returning to the iconic, pristine white emblem of the Foundation spinning against the void.

The three inward-facing arrows locked into place with a sharp, heavy metallic click that vibrated through Yuki’s entire soul.

“We secure. We contain. We protect.”

The commanding voice fell silent, but as the metallic emblem began to dissolve into the surrounding void, one final sentence echoed through the space in a quiet, solemn, fading tone.

The heavy words lingered in the quiet void, chilling Yuki to his absolute core.

The blinding flash of white light that followed swallowed the darkness entirely, pulling his projected consciousness forward as the anomalous space finally completed the transition and materialized the actual layout of the assembly.

The blinding white light receded, and Yuki’s consciousness materialized, floating high above the entire chamber.

From this omniscient, aerial vantage point, the sheer scale of the space lay fully exposed beneath him.

Directly below, the floor stretched out as a massive expanse of seamless, polished black stone.

Emblazoned across the center was a giant, pristine white emblem of the SCP Foundation.

At the heart of the emblem, perfectly filling the inner ring where the three arrows converged, stood a monolithic, 13-sided circular table, a flawless tridecagon crafted from dark, reflective material.

Thirteen high-backed leather chairs were positioned evenly along each of its geometric sides.

Beyond the outer perimeter of the giant floor logo, an absolute wall of thick, swirling gray fog choked the rest of the space.

It was completely impenetrable, masking any windows, walls, or ceilings, leaving the council room as an oasis of absolute authority anchored in an endless, silent void.

After taking in the breathtaking overview, Yuki’s consciousness was suddenly pulled downward.

His perspective shifted rapidly, smoothly gliding across the floor until he materialized in physical form directly behind the very first chair at the head of the tridecagon. Read the latest chapters at novelping.com.

Yuki took a steadying breath, reached out to pull the heavy chair back, and sat down.

The moment he settled into the seat, a faint hum resonated through the dark table.

Floating directly in mid-air right above his head, sharp, clinical white letters materialized, casting a soft glow over his shoulders.

___

[ O5-1 The Reincarnator ]

___

Yuki looked around the massive, silent table.

Twelve empty chairs stared back at him, each representing a vacant seat of absolute power.

“Thirteen sides, thirteen chairs… and I’m the only one sitting here,” Yuki whispered, his voice echoing slightly against the impenetrable fog.

He ran his hand over the cold, smooth surface of the table.

As his palm glided across the dark material, the surface instantly responded.

A crisp, pale-blue holographic display projected upward into the air, casting a technological glow over his face.

Sharp, clinical text began to rapidly stitch itself across the air, welcoming him to the Assembly.

___

WELCOME, ADMINISTRATOR.

THIS ASSEMBLY CHAMBER IS A SECURE ANOMALOUS DIMENSION CONSTRUCTED EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE CONVENING OF THE O5 COUNCIL.

ALL DATA AND DISCUSSIONS WITHIN THIS SPACE ARE SUBJECT TO LEVEL 5 OMNISCIENT ENCRYPTION.

___

Below the brief overview, the text shifted, flashing slightly to prompt action.

A massive prompt appeared in the center of the display, flanked by two glowing blocks.

___

DO YOU ACCEPT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGNATION: O5-1?

[ YES ] / [ NO ]

___

Yuki stared at the blinking choices, a dry, humorless laugh escaping his throat.

“Seriously? A ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ button? As if I actually have a choice here.” He looked out at the suffocating white fog, then back at the glowing prompt.

“Rejecting this, waking up empty-handed, and dying later without knowing a damn thing about what’s happening to me… yeah, that’s just crazy. Let’s see where this rabbit hole goes.”

He leaned forward and tapped the [ YES ] button.

Instantly, the holographic screen shattered into a burst of light, and a sudden, blinding agony shot through his body.

Yuki let out a sharp gasp, collapsing forward against the table as his teeth gritted tightly together.

The pain was localized and intensely sharp, burning like a branding iron pressed directly against the skin of his lower left ribs.

Clutching his side, he desperately yanked up the edge of his shirt to check the damage.

The skin was bright red and irritated, but as the burning sensation began to dull into a throb, dark ink bled into view beneath the surface.

It settled into a clean, precise Roman numeral: I.

Before he could process the shock, the holographic display reassembled itself over the table, its text updating with cold precision.

___

LINK ESTABLISHED.

ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGNATION CONFIRMED.

THE MARK IS GENERATED UPON YOUR PERSON, FUNCTIONS AS A BIOMETRIC BRAND, ANCHORING YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS TO THE ASSEMBLY CHAMBER.

IT ENSURES SOLE RECOGNITION OF YOUR SPECIFIC SOUL SIGNATURE ACROSS ALL TIMELINES.

___

Yuki let out a slow, ragged breath, smoothing his shirt back down over the newly formed tattoo.

“A biometric brand… Guess I’m officially locked into the contract now.” He straightened up in his high-backed chair, forcing his racing pulse to steady as he looked at the freshly calibrated monitor.

“Alright then. You have my soul on file. What’s the first order of business?”

The holographic display flickered rapidly, giving an overview of his new O5 privileges.

___

[O5 PRIVILEGES INITIALIZED]

1.

COGNITO MASKING

Anonymity is toggled by choice.

2.

SOUL ANCHOR & RESURRECTION CONDUIT

-> The biometric brand on your person serves as a permanent anchor to this anomalous space.

In the event of catastrophic physical death, your consciousness will be safely recalled.

The Assembly dimension will completely reconstruct and revive your physical vessel within exactly twenty-four hours.

3.

HARDWARE INTEGRATION

-> Your personal mobile device has been bound to your person.

It is now structurally reinforced and entirely indestructible by conventional physical or anomalous force.

-> Class A General Retrograde: Utilizing a localized light emission via the device’s camera flash, the operator can wipe the short-term memories of targets at will.

-> RADAR SENSORS: Automatically syncs with global modern surveillance grids.

If any unregistered anomaly breaches local territory, a notification will immediately push to your custom application interface, awaiting containment.

4.

TERMINATION CLAUSE

-> Council members retain the absolute right to abdicate their position and quit the O5 Council at any time.

However, to guarantee total secrecy, the severing of the link will trigger an immediate, irreversible localized amnesiac strike, wiping all memories related to the SCP Foundation, the Assembly, and anomalous history from your brain.

___

Yuki blinked, his jaw dropping slightly as his eyes scanned the second prompt.

“A twenty-four-hour respawn timer? This feels familiar… A place full of gray fog… dragging the consciousness of someone… this… is this… the Sefirah Castle!?” Wide eyes of pure realization and shock strained his face, his voice cracking slightly in the silent hall.

“Did the SCP Foundation somehow contain this place?”

With shaking hands, he gripped the edges of the dark table, a dizzying thought striking him.

If he was designated as the administrator here, did that mean he was the owner of this entire anomalous space?

Eager to test his theory, Yuki focused his mind.

He glared out toward the boundary of the floor logo and forcefully willed the gray fog to move, trying to command it to part, shape, or disperse.

Nothing happened.

The impenetrable wall of mist remained completely static, swirling lazily at its own pace.

Yuki let out a deflated sigh, shoulders slumping.

“Guess they won’t give me full authority over the dimension itself,” he muttered.

He shook his head, a slight, relieved laugh escaping his lips.

“Well… at least they won’t let us die out there. I’ll take a guaranteed cheat-code revival over nothing.”

Forcing his racing mind back to the task at hand, he looked back at the glowing hologram to check the rest of the privileges.

His eyes skimmed down to the third section.

“Oh! An indestructible phone with a built-in neuralyzer for memory erasure? Neat.” He pulled his mobile device from his pocket, turning it over to inspect the lens with a newfound appreciation before continuing to read all the way to the very end of the terminal.

As the finality of the termination clause registered, a confident, sharp smirk played on his face.

“Well, I didn’t plan on quitting anyway,” Yuki said, leaning back comfortably into the massive leather chair of O5-1.

He tapped his fingers rhythmically against the armrest, staring out across the grand tridecagon layout.

“An indestructible phone and a resurrection system…”

He trailed off, looking at the twelve vacant leather seats surrounding the massive 13-sided table.

A practical question crossed his mind: how exactly was he supposed to invite the other members to fill these empty seats?

Right on cue, the original holographic terminal dissolved into a cascade of light particles.

A brand-new display immediately materialized in its place, floating seamlessly above the table.

It was entirely blank, save for a single, prominent interactive prompt glowing at its center.
