Once the arrow was successfully fired, Max experienced the exact same ticking sensation he had felt earlier during the Healing class.
Moon, who had been standing casually beside him, instantly straightened her frame, her face completely filled with surprise and bewilderment. She quickly turned her head toward Max, only to find him already in position to release another arrow.
Shoo!
The second arrow lodged directly into the next arrow she had shot earlier.
In quick succession, Max fired a total of three arrows; all three perfectly split her previous shots and lodged themselves into the exact same target marks.
Embarrassment became clearly apparent on Moon's face as her cheeks turned red.
Upon witnessing his true Skill, she felt truly embarrassed by her own actions.
What was even more embarrassing was the fact that he had precisely split every single one of her arrows.
For her ego, this was a crushing defeat.
"Ms. Moon, did I follow your basic instructions?" Max asked, a sarcastic smile appearing on his face.
Moon simply stood there without saying a single word.
"Thank you for your teachings," Max stated as he walked away from the spot.
He placed the bow down and picked up another bow that was slightly longer, along with an arrow that resembled a spear rather than a regular arrow.
[Celestial Arrow]
Skill Proficiency: 2%
Description: Fires a radiant arrow infused with celestial power that travels at tremendous speed, dealing massive damage to a single target and piercing through all obstacles in its path.
Now that the Skill's Proficiency had been successfully activated, all he needed to do from here on out was practice hard and increase the Proficiency to 100%.
Once it reached full Proficiency, the Skill's power would increase exponentially.
Currently, he had successfully activated two of his Class Skills.
Only his Sword Skill remained, which he would handle tomorrow.
With this sudden development in his personal growth, he no longer needed to pretend to be a perfect youth who worked hard despite lacking talent.
From now on, he would not need to shy away from anything; he almost felt as though he had earned the merit to be placed within the academy.
Now, he could confidently grow his name and finally spread it throughout the country. Everyone would bow down before him, and if anyone vied for his land, they would be slain without any mercy.
With that overwhelming confidence, Max practiced Archery until the session came to a halt.
Not only Moon, but everyone on the practice grounds, even Instructor Duncan, was completely dumbfounded by Max's Archery talent.
They had all thought that Max was not good at Archery, assuming that was the reason he skipped the practical classes.
However, now seeing his talent as an Archer, they were truly shell-shocked.
Max simply put away the longbow and walked away from the archery grounds, inwardly snickering after seeing the faces of the people.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
The saying, "Fake it till you make it," had truly helped him maintain his status.
Now that he had shown his talent as an Archer, the news would spread quickly.
Before long, the whole academy would come to know who he was.
"Everything is going according to my plan," Max stated gleefully as he walked toward his dorm.
Along the way, he picked up a few books regarding E-Rank monsters.
Although he had finally discovered a method to utilize his Skills, he could not simply abandon his habit of gathering information and gaining knowledge about matters he would be extensively involved with in the future.
Whether or not he possessed the power to tackle any situation through sheer strength, possessing this kind of knowledge would always prove helpful to him.
E-Rank Dungeons were primarily inhabited by Slime monsters.
A wide variety of Slimes existed; there were passive Slimes, as well as aggressive Slimes that would actively attack enemies upon entering their territory.
A few Slimes were capable of inflicting severe injuries, and there were even a select few that could kill a human outright.
Furthermore, there were mutated Slimes that possessed strong attacking power.
The Iron Slime, Crystal Slime, Acid Slime, and Toxic Slime were a few of the variants to look out for, as they held the potential to injure him.
This was especially true for the Toxic Slime; as its name suggested, it utilized toxins to poison targets, ultimately paralyzing and killing them.
However, this was nothing he could not handle now that his Skills were activated.
Closing the book, he stood up and dressed for dinner.
There were two things he was eager for regarding dinner: the first was the food, and the second was Isabelle.
Throughout most of the afternoon practice sessions, he never saw her.
Since she had awakened the Mage Class, she usually conducted her practice in an entirely different building.
He had been very happy when she sat at his table during lunch, and he now prayed that the exact same miracle would occur during dinner as well.
If that were to happen, it would be a double jackpot, pairing the successful activation of his Skills with her eating beside him.
Max reached the canteen and picked up his dinner, which smelled great.
Looking around, he did not find her at any of the tables.
As usual, he sat at his own table near the wall, waiting for her to show up.
He slowly started to consume his food, as it would look strange if he were to simply wait without eating.
While he was doing so, someone suddenly walked toward his table.
With a thump in his heart, he looked up, fully expecting it to be Isabelle.
However, he was completely shocked by the identity of the person approaching his table holding a food tray.
"Ms. Moon," Max instinctively said, looking at the slender young woman standing near him.
"Do you mind if I join you?" she asked as she placed her plate on the opposite side of the table and sat down.
The thumping in his heart did not cease; rather, it beat even faster.
Max had not expected this young woman to approach him.
Had she not been mocking him just a few hours prior?
Was she impressed by his Archery Skills?
It was certainly a possibility.
Just imagine if Max possessed the same level of talent as these people, coupled with his status as the only son of the Grand Duke.
Everyone would line up before him to befriend him.
It was simply due to his lack of talent that he had been neglected by the populace.
However, now that everyone had witnessed his true potential, the natural order of things was beginning to unfold.
Now that this young woman had come to sit with him, if the news were to spread, everyone would soon flock to his table.
'Hahaha, how the tables have turned,' Max snickered inwardly.
Max consumed his dinner without speaking a single word to the slender girl.
Now that he held the higher position, the other party had to initiate the conversation.
If it were Isabelle, he would not care about such status.
However, this girl was merely opportunistic.
She had hated him before, yet now, upon seeing his real potential, she came running to make his acquaintance.
What a selfish young woman.
"I apologize for treating you harshly earlier," the girl stated suddenly.
Max, who had been chewing his tasty food, stopped abruptly upon hearing the young woman offer an apology.
"When did that happen?" Max lied meticulously, although what she stated was indeed the truth.
As a sophisticated young lord, he needed to act as a gentle youth while speaking to a girl, especially a beautiful young woman like her.
That would definitely elevate his social image by another step.
"Well, earlier, when the instructor asked me to teach you the basics..." Moon explained her actions.
"Do not worry, Ms. Moon..."
"Just Moon will be fine," she interrupted suddenly.
"In that case, Moon, it does not matter. I did not feel anything wrong regarding your actions. You simply executed what the instructor asked you to do. You truly demonstrated the basics perfectly. I benefited immensely from your teachings, so I offer my thanks to you," Max stated elegantly.
Upon hearing Max state this, her face bloomed brightly.
She had half-expected Max to act haughtily and belittle her for her previous behavior.
Now, seeing Max's polite nature, she finally relaxed; her previous worries completely dissipated from her mind.
The crowd within the hall murmured among themselves while these two conversed.
Furthermore, Isabelle had sat there to have lunch at noon, and now another young woman was having dinner with him.
What kind of twisted turn of events was this?
No one present could understand it.
