With that, I started writing.

I wrote for the entire day on my mobile, documenting everything I could remember from the dream until night slowly crept in once again.

By the time I finished, my head felt heavy and my fingers ached from typing so much.

Eventually, I went to bed.

***

The dreams continued every night.

Night after night, I would fall asleep and find myself back in that broken world, watching the white-haired girl struggle against a fate that seemed determined to crush her.

Somehow, her journey gave me a reason to keep living. It became the thin thread that kept my own life from completely falling apart.

The girl in the dream possessed a terrifying ability.

[Regression]

Every time she failed... every time she died... she would return to the beginning.

Again.

And again.

And again.

She continued regressing just to reach the end of the scenarios.

Ten years passed like this.

Ten years of dreams.

Ten years of watching the same girl fight a hopeless battle against an impossible world.

She had already regressed 1,513 times. And yet she still hadn’t completed her goal. She still hadn’t freed her world from the scenarios. But she was close.

"Hah..."

A tired sigh escaped my lips. The current year was 2025.

And for some reason, I felt certain that today would be different. Something inside me whispered that today would be the day she finally achieved her goal.

Maybe tonight would be my last dream.

Whatever happened, I was rooting for her. She had lost too much along the way.

This victory...

She deserved it more than anyone.

With that thought, I went to bed. The clock read 10 p.m.

It was my usual sleeping time. The longer I slept, the longer I could dream. And the longer I could escape reality.

Reality was pointless anyway.

Sometimes I even wondered if reality itself was just another kind of illusion. A poorly written story that people blindly accepted as the truth.

Maybe dreams were simply another world. Or maybe the world I lived in was the dream instead.

Either way, I closed my eyes.

As soon as sleep claimed me, the dream began again. But this time, something was wrong. The dream didn’t continue from where it had ended yesterday.

Instead, a vast black void stretched endlessly around me. There was nothing here.

No monsters.

No ruined cities.

And most importantly...

No white-haired girl.

’Where am I?’ I wondered, my thoughts echoing inside the endless darkness. This was not something I had ever seen before.

Then suddenly...

A voice spoke.

Its presence was distant yet overwhelming, like something ancient whispering across the fabric of existence.

It said:

"When darkness will fall and even the shadows will hide.

Reality will twist, time will bend, and moonless shall be the nights.

Through an endless spiral of world-lines, three queens will remain alive.

One who walks the same path beyond memory’s tide.

One who waits where the flow of time cannot arrive.

And one who gave everything for a promise she could not deny.

Yet beneath the same dark sky will walk a boy who rejects this life.

So fear not when your fall arrives and fret not when comes your demise.

For when these paths unite, the dawn may once more rise...

Or perhaps not.

And when the tale is finished, none will remain alive."

I woke up with my back soaked in sweat. My heart was pounding violently in my chest.

It was strange. Those words felt... personal, as if they had been spoken directly to me.

Still trying to calm down, I glanced at the calendar beside my bed.

The date read:

15th August, 2025.

Now that I thought about it...

The apocalypse in that girl’s world had also begun on this exact day. Surely it wouldn’t descend on my world too.

Chuckle~

I let out a quiet laugh at the absurd thought. How could a dream suddenly become reality? That kind of thing only happened in stories.

And yet...

For some reason, the laughter didn’t sound convincing even to my own ears.

Shaking my head, I stood up and started getting ready for work.

Completely unaware of how much my world was about to change today.
