"We should just do as he said. Anyways, this place isn’t as dangerous as it seems to be."

Su Mingyue reasoned with him, trying to convince him not to go that way. Her gut feeling urged her to move forward along the right path.

Unable to refute her, the man followed their wishes.Full novel: My Trash System got a Loophole — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The trio steadily walked deeper into the crypt, but they did not encounter any danger.

Ning Rongrong was surprised. She thought there would be more traps or undead creatures, but the deeper they went, the quieter it became.

She was not sure what was going on, but she decided to just focus on looking for treasures instead.

After half an hour of walking, they finally found something.

It was a room filled with spiritual stones, at least several thousand of them.

The trio quickly grew ecstatic. They had never seen such a huge amount of spirit stones in their lives before.

But now, a problem arose. None of them had any spatial artifacts, and the cloth bags they had couldn’t fit all the spirit stones.

"I guess we should’ve come together with Senior Brother Ye."

Gu Changsheng intoned, a bit regretfully. Out of all the disciples who came in, he was the only one who had a spatial artifact.

Su Mingyue and Ning Rongrong also understood. Ye Che, being an elder’s offspring, definitely had a spatial treasure on him.

But as they fumbled with the bags, they could only stuff as many stones as they could carry.

Soon, the three had filled their cloth bags to the brim with spirit stones, but their eyes showed no joy. Instead, they wished the bags could hold more.

With a last sigh of regret, they finally moved on from the treasure trove.

...

On the other side.

A dark shadow flickered every now and then, and with it echoed pig-like screams.

[Flashback]

Ye Che walked forward alone, the darkness surrounding him seeming to grow deeper with each step.

He knew he should not have left the others behind, but he was too proud to admit that.

An urge came from inside him that told him the right path held greater opportunities and less danger. That’s why he chose to go left. Even though it was more dangerous, it didn’t seem deadly.

Soon after walking for a while, he saw a room filled with pig-like creatures.

There were around eleven of them in the room, he assumed as he entered.

And as he did, those eleven hogs also noticed him. Without any bullsh*t, they aimed straight for their ’prey’.

Ye Che charged into the fastest hog, realizing it was at the 1st Stage of Qi Refinement. His heart calmed down.

His flames once again engulfed the creatures one by one.

But as he fought, he realized that these creatures had thicker skin than he had expected, though their speed and strength certainly lacked.

He was about to intensify the flames when suddenly, an arrow came out of nowhere and hit his right shoulder, leaving a bleeding scar on his body.

As he looked towards the attacker, what came into view was a gap in the wall.

Focusing his attention back on the hogs, he easily killed nine of them, leaving only two still standing.

But what he failed to notice was that the arrow was poisoned, slowly taking effect the more he moved his body.

But then his body started heating up, his mind losing all reason. He was familiar with this sensation.

It was the sensation of an aphro—

[Back to reality]

After several twists and turns, a room finally came into their view. However, as they neared it, strange noises filled the hallway.

"This... this sounds like pigs being slaughtered. No, it sounds worse than that!"

Ning Rongrong said, midway shaking her head as she restated her thoughts.

They all went on guard. Gu Changsheng led the way, his hand gripping the sword he had with him.

Su Mingyue and Ning Rongrong followed closely, their faces pale in the dim light.

From around the corner, a sound echoed. It was a rhythmic, wet slapping noise, punctuated by high-pitched, guttural squeals and deep, guttural roars.

Ning Rongrong stopped dead, her nose wrinkling as she covered her mouth, her eyes wide with apprehension.

"It sounds like... a struggle or some kind of frenzied attack. We have to be careful. Senior Brother Ye might be fighting for his life."

Su Mingyue narrowed her eyes. Something told her that going in would be a big mistake. However, she couldn’t leave a fellow disciple to risk it all.

"Stay behind me and be ready for action."

As this part of the crypt was particularly dark, it took them a while to adapt to the darkness. Yet, as they did, they all froze.

The room was a wide, circular dome with dead hog-like creatures littered around the floor, but in the center, the scene was far more chaotic.

In the center, Ye Che... He... He...

*Hrk—bleergh* ×2

Both beauties, unable to bear Ye Che’s ’gruesome sacrifice’, poured their ’hearts’ out in ’admiration’.

Gu Changsheng himself couldn’t hold back from puking. Even though he knew it could happen, he didn’t know Ye Che would play like this.

He was stunned. His throat felt like crying and his brain can’t handle the happening, but he couldn’t do so as his fellow disciple was ’sacrificing his dignity for their lives’.

Nonetheless, they quickly retreated, unable to stay in the room any longer. Their minds simply weren’t capable of understanding the profoundness of the room.

They had seen a lot in their travels, but this was simply too much.

Now, Su Mingyue and Ning Rongrong both felt extremely repulsed by Ye Che. They deeply regretted entering the room.

It also broke a certain someone’s fantasy about winning the fairy’s heart.

Meanwhile, Ye Che was still in the room, with his pants down and his mind out of it.

The aphrodisiac was taking its toll on him, and he wasn’t sure how long he could last.

But in his moment of weakness, a voice echoed in his mind. It was the same feeling that had hinted to him to avoid going down this path in the first place.

"You have been chosen for greatness, Ye Che. You will become a legend among cultivators. But you must embrace your inner strength and take risks that others would not dare to take."

Ye Che didn’t know where the voice was coming from, but he could feel its power resonating within him.

It felt like he was being blessed by a deity.
