“Su Cha, stop playing dead.
You’ve already lost.”
“Mo Ze made it clear long ago that he likes Yunxi.
You’re a female who can’t even undergo Transformation, yet you dare to fight Yunxi for a mate.
Where do you get the nerve?” a male voice sneered.
“Yunxi, finish her off.
Let her know what kind of trash she is.”
Chatter buzzed in her ears.
She opened her eyes impatiently, a splitting headache throbbing in her skull.
In her daze, Su Cha reached up and touched her head.
The dampness and sharp sting immediately told her she was bleeding.
As her vision slowly cleared, a white blur hurtled toward her.
Her body reacted faster than her brain, instinctively rolling away to dodge a strike that would have otherwise left her dead or crippled.
Catching her breath from the near miss, Su Cha took in her surroundings.
She was encircled by a crowd of bizarre people with strange clothes and even stranger features.
The two mocking her just now were a man and a woman.
The man was burly and masculine, while the woman had a pair of yellow fox ears perched on her head.
Both were currently glaring at her with utter disdain.
“Where am I?” she wondered.
Before she could analyze her current situation, the white blur lunged at her again.
Su Cha snatched up a dagger-like object from the ground, only wanting to resolve the immediate threat as quickly as possible.
Her attacker was a three-tailed white fox, much larger than herself.
Looking into its eyes, Su Cha saw an emotion that belonged exclusively to humans.
This was no ordinary wild beast.
“Su Cha is going for a desperate last stand!” noisy chatter erupted from the crowd.
“Tch, a little piece of trash is still a piece of trash.
This is a duel to the death.
Of course she has to gamble with her pathetic life.” The fox-eared girl didn’t think Su Cha had a chance of winning, continuing to scoff triumphantly.
Her words sent another wave of heated excitement rippling across the arena.
Fighting back a wave of dizziness, Su Cha sidestepped another strike.
Using the stone pillars scattered around the arena for leverage, she leaped nimbly, dodging one vicious attack after another.
Just as she began to pant slightly, a chance for a counterattack finally presented itself.
She thrust out the bone knife in her hand.
The white fox’s perception wasn’t weak either; it quickly shifted its position, causing the blade to only graze and bury itself into the fox’s left arm.
However, to everyone’s shock, Su Cha followed up with a powerful kick to the white fox’s abdomen.
Using the rebound force from the stone pillar, she sent the fox—which was several times her size—flying through the air.
The white fox crashed heavily to the ground, shifting back into the form of a silver-haired girl.
The blood seeping from her mouth and arm made her look utterly pitiful.
Clutching her stomach with one hand, she curled up on the dirt, completely stripped of her ability to keep fighting.
Su Cha knelt on one knee, gasping for air as she slowly absorbed the flood of memories rushing into her mind.
“Yunxi lost!” a voice of pure disbelief rang out from the crowd.
“Impossible!
Su Cha can’t even undergo Transformation into her beast form.
How is this possible?!” the male Beastman who had spoken earlier exclaimed.
Su Cha sifted through her new memories and retrieved the names of the male and the other female: Hu Xiao and Yu Yue’er—Yunxi’s lapdog and best friend.
“Too bad she really did lose.
Next up, it’s you two.” Su Cha stood up, her gaze landing on the shocked pair.
She hadn’t forgotten their insults from moments ago, and she, Su Cha, was no pushover.
“Haha, Hu Xiao is a Fourth-tier Beastman!
You actually dare to challenge him?
You really don’t know your own—Ah!”
Before Yu Yue’er could finish her sentence, a blurry figure flashed by and kicked her away.
She smashed directly into the very same stone pillar Su Cha had collided with earlier, her eyes rolling back as she fainted.
“You talk too much.” Su Cha glanced at the unconscious Yu Yue’er.
Her eyes held the exact same arrogant swagger that Yu Yue’er had displayed just moments before.
Someone dragged Yu Yue’er out of the battle circle, and the rest of the crowd sensibly backed away, leaving only Su Cha and Hu Xiao in the arena.
The spectators wondered what was going on.
Su Cha, who had no beast form, had not only defeated Yunxi—who had achieved Transformation long ago—but now even dared to challenge the male Beastman, Hu Xiao.
His face twisted with rage, Hu Xiao threw a straight punch right at Su Cha.
She could see the orange combat aura enveloping his fist, but unfortunately for him, she deftly dodged it.
After a few exchanges, Su Cha was visibly struggling more than she had against Yunxi.
Hu Xiao underwent his Transformation into his beast form and swiped a massive paw at her.
Su Cha evaded the physical blow, but her arm was scraped by the orange aura attached to his claws.
Su Cha furrowed her brows slightly, her eyes turning solemn.
“I need to end this quickly,” she thought.
This body’s stamina was draining at an alarming rate.
Hu Xiao possessed massive strength, and his combat power was a whole tier higher than Yunxi’s.
Su Cha pushed her speed to the absolute limit, using her agility to dodge as much damage as possible with the least amount of effort, all while waiting for a chance to strike back.
Victory only required one tiny opening.
With a clean, stylish backflip, the girl’s flawless silhouette appeared directly above the tiger’s massive frame.
The very next second, Hu Xiao crashed heavily to the ground in a pathetic heap.
Before he could even react, a sharp dagger was pressed flush against his throat.
The bloodstained girl glared down at him with ice-cold eyes, spitting out a few ruthless words: “Who’s the piece of trash now?
Hmm?”
Hu Xiao’s tiger eyes widened in shock.
How was this possible?
The crowd finally processed what had just happened, and gasps of shock immediately erupted.
“Gods!
Su Cha actually won!”
“Ahhh!
What is going on?”
“Not only did she defeat Yunxi, she even beat the Fourth-tier Beastman, Hu Xiao!”
“Didn’t they say she was a piece of trash incapable of Transformation?
Then what about Hu Xiao?!”
The physical pain shooting through his body, coupled with the murmurs ringing in his ears, magnified the humiliation in his heart inch by inch.
Hu Xiao simply couldn’t accept that he had been defeated by the very same useless female they had always ridiculed.
A low, defiant growl ripped from his throat.
“If you lose, you accept it.
That’s the rule of the beast world.
Got a problem with that?” The girl’s face showed not a single trace of her former panic; there was nothing left but cold indifference.
The next moment, she ruthlessly plunged the dagger half an inch into his neck before yanking it back out, causing fresh blood to spill instantly.
