Chapter 25: Plan for the Invisible killer

My Villainess Management System.

After they finished eating, Feng Shuran was showing Gu Chen the belongings of the man who tried to attack her earlier when they heard a loud bang from outside.

Both of them looked at each other and immediately walked outside. They stood outside the courtyard and saw a group of people in the air above the mountain peak that belonged to Gu Chen.

There were three old men, and all of them held their heads in pain.

Gu Chen only needed a glance to tell what had happened. The force field of the base was invisible; they must have crashed into it while trying to enter the mountain peak.

"Go talk to them," he turned to Feng Shuran and said. He would have gone by himself, but he couldn’t fly, and he wasn’t going to invite those people into his home.

"Understood, Master." Feng Shuran said and rose into the air to meet the three old men.

She wasn’t aware that there was a force field around the mountain, so she was curious as to what the previous sound was and why these men were holding their heads.

If there was a barrier, why had she never encountered it? Or could her Master have attacked them while she was talking to him? That was a plausible explanation for her, even though she didn’t know how he did it.

She hadn’t sensed anything.

’Well, it’s natural for me not to notice if it’s my master.’ Feng Shuran thought to herself as she flew towards the three old men.

The three of them saw Feng Shuran coming towards them and immediately bowed.

They all recognised her. After all, they were all there earlier today when she took away the needle.

"Greetings, Senior Invisible Killer." The three of them said in unison. None of them dared to raise their heads until Feng Shuran replied; they still felt fear from seeing her performance earlier.

Feng Shuran looked at them with an expressionless face. All three were at the Core Formation Realm, and she knew them; they had talked a few times in the past.

One of them was the guild master of the only alchemist guild in Oghara and was an Intermediate Alchemist.

Another was the sect master of the Rising Wave sect, while the last one was the First Elder of the Rising Wave sect.

But the fact that she recognised them didn’t mean that they had a good relationship; they could not even be considered acquaintances.

"What are you looking for in my Bloody Rose territory?" She asked tonelessly.

The three old men finally stood up straight and looked at each other before offering apologetic smiles.

"Hahaha, Senior invisible killer, please forgive our foolishness. We didn’t know this was now your territory. We just came to confirm if the Dae Qu sect had really been wiped out by you."

The head of the alchemist guild said with a fake laugh.

"Yes, yes. That’s right, we only came to check and didn’t mean to offend you. Honestly, the Dae Qu sect deserved it; they were too overbearing."

"Indeed, they did whatever they liked because they had three Core Formation Realm experts. Good for them; you did great, Senior!"

The other two added. They didn’t have any issue addressing Feng Shuran as a senior. After all, strength was what determined seniority in the cultivation world.

Feng Shuran stared at them, feeling disgusted by their fake acts.

"If that’s all, then get lost. This is now the territory of my Bloody Rose, and anyone who comes uninvited will pay heavily." She said seriously, frightening the three men.

"Of course, of course, thank you for being merciful!"

"We’ll be going now; our sect will send gifts some other time!"

They said as they hurriedly flew away, quickly disappearing into the distance.

Feng Shuran stood in the air and watched until she could no longer see their figures; only then did she return to the ground.

"I’ve handled everything, Master!" She called down as she landed beside him.

Gu Chen nodded; he didn’t ask what those men wanted, as he could already guess why they came.

The news about the annihilation of the Dae Qu sect must have started spreading.

They didn’t say anything else and returned to the courtyard.

....

Some time later, more than forty people gathered in a large hall, both men and women. All of them were either heads or second in command of the various forces in Oghara.

"It has been confirmed: the Dae Qu sect has really been wiped out, and the invisible killer has taken over their sect." Someone said seriously. He was the sect master of the Rising Wave sect.

The first elder was sitting next to him.

As for the head of the alchemist guild, he was too scared of Feng Shuran and didn’t honour the invitation when asked to come for the meeting to discuss how to get rid of her.

There was silence in the hall after the sect master of the Rising Wave sect revealed his findings. The silence lasted for several seconds until someone spoke up.

"But she’s a new Nascent Soul Realm; how did she wipe out the sect? The sect has a barrier that should have helped them deal with her." The person who spoke was a beautiful woman with long red hair that covered the side of her face; her chest was so flat that one might even consider that she was just here because of jealousy for Feng Shuran.

"I don’t think she killed them in their sect; we saw the sect, and there wasn’t any sign of battles. She must have managed to lure them outside and catch them by surprise.

You were there today when she unleashed her spiritual pressure. If she wanted to kill us, only a few of us would have managed to escape." The first elder of the Rising Wave sect stated, and everyone fell silent again.

"So they weren’t prepared. No matter how powerful a Nascent Soul Realm cultivator is, they aren’t omnipotent and can still be taken care of. Besides, she just newly advanced and shouldn’t have learnt any new skills yet; we can still take care of her if we act quickly." Someone else said.

"Agreed. Does she have anyone else with her?" The old man with an hourglass asked in a deep tone.

"No, she was the only one there. I don’t think she has the chance to recruit people yet since her temple was destroyed." The first elder reported.

"Wait, there was a young man with her. He looked like an expert at first, but he was just an ordinary person whom the invisible killer is keeping by her side, maybe her lover or toy. He was quite good-looking." The sect master reported as he recalled Gu Chen, who was standing on the ground.

Everyone looked at him strangely when he said this.

"What?" He asked, confused by their stares.

The first elder of the Rising Wave sect shook his head and also reported about the invisible barrier around the new mountain peak.

"If it’s a barrier, we can handle it. Very early tomorrow morning, we must kill the invisible killer and not give her the chance to escape as she did with the Dae Qu sect!" the old man with the hourglass said through his teeth.

"Agreed!" Several voices answered in unison
