The two of them chatted cheerfully as they finished lunch.

With Kazuomi’s help, Fine Motion thoroughly enjoyed her first taste of Japanese cuisine.

Despite being a foreign aristocrat studying abroad, she had taken an extraordinary liking to the food.

She had looked especially blissful while eating the soba noodles.

She truly did love everything she was experiencing here.

“I have only been in Japan for a short time, so there are still many things I do not understand.”

Fine Motion thanked him with complete sincerity.

“It was nothing.

I barely did anything.”

Kazuomi hurriedly waved his hands.

Admittedly, she had startled him at first.

A student casually producing a black credit card was far too surreal a sight.

“Oh.

It’s already this late.”

Their relaxed lunch had finally come to an end.

Kazuomi checked the time.

Ms.

Tojo had instructed him to report to the office that afternoon.

Seeing that it was nearly time to leave, he turned to Fine Motion with a smile.

“You new students probably still have class meetings and other activities this afternoon, so I won’t keep you any longer.”

Fine Motion looked faintly disappointed.

In a sense, Kazuomi was the first person at the academy with whom she had been able to hold a real conversation.

She herself probably did not realize that the refined aura she unconsciously radiated made her classmates too intimidated to approach.

Through sheer coincidence, Kazuomi had become her first friend at Tracen Academy.

Although reluctant to part, Fine Motion nodded sensibly.

“Yes.

I am very happy to have met you.”

Seeing her disappointment, Kazuomi added:

“When we both have time, I can introduce you to plenty of other interesting Japanese snacks and dishes.”

“Really?”

Her eyes immediately lit up.

Kazuomi smiled and nodded.

“Of course.

I’ll be working here at the academy, so we’ll have plenty of opportunities to meet again.”

“That is wonderful.”

Fine Motion hesitated for a moment. Visit g.com for the full chapter.

“May I ask you something?

Do you work here as a teacher or as a trainer?”

“Uh…”

Kazuomi scratched his head and smiled awkwardly.

“I suppose you could call me half a trainer.”

“Or rather, I’m still a novice who can’t work independently.

For the time being, I’m studying at the academy as a trainee and learning how to become a proper trainer.”

“That is perfectly all right!”

Fine Motion raised a small fist and encouraged him with an adorable expression.

“I am certain you will become an excellent trainer, Mr.

Asama!”

Setting aside her aristocratic background, Fine Motion was considerably easier to get along with than her appearance suggested.

She was somewhat oblivious and lacked common sense, but she carried herself openly and possessed none of the arrogance associated with a noble young lady.

She was approachable.

Merely prone to wandering off course from time to time.

Kazuomi smiled back at her.

“Yeah.

I’ll do my best.

I should get going.”

“Oh, one more thing.”

Before leaving, Kazuomi remembered something and stopped to warn her.

“Payments at the academy are made with this green card.

If you need to add money to it, there’s a room beside the cafeteria where a staff member can help you.”

Surely nothing else would go wrong.

Looking at the girl, however, Kazuomi could not completely rid himself of doubt.

He soon arrived at the Training Department.

Kazuomi knocked on the door, then pushed it open.

It was currently the lunch break, so Hana Tojo was the only person in the office.

Everyone else appeared to be enjoying their break elsewhere around the academy.

“You’re here.”

Tojo held a pile of documents and was flipping through them.

After glancing at Kazuomi, she freed one hand and pointed toward a corner of the room.

“That will be your desk.

Clean it up yourself.

I’ll explain your duties once I finish this.”

“Understood.”

Kazuomi obediently walked toward the desk in the farthest corner.

Some of its previous occupant’s belongings were still there.

Uma Musume Modeling Weekly Get faster updates on g.com.

Issues of the magazine filled the small bookshelf atop the desk, apparently comprising a complete collection.

A drop of cold sweat slid down Kazuomi’s cheek.

Then he noticed the identification photograph lying on the desk.

The face was unmistakably familiar.

It wore that same slightly irritating grin.

“That bastard…”

At some point, Ms.

Tojo had appeared behind him.

She spoke through clenched teeth, displaying an intense hatred for the desk’s former owner.

“I’ll clean everything up immediately.”

“No need.

I’ll do it.”

Without giving Kazuomi time to respond, she strode from the room.

She returned a short while later carrying a cardboard box.

Her expression dark, Tojo marched to the desk and swept every last one of Koji’s belongings into the box directly in front of Kazuomi.

“Um, Ms.

Tojo, all of these things belong to Senior Okino.

Shouldn’t we ask for his permission before moving them?”

Although terrified, Kazuomi gathered enough courage to speak.

Tojo instantly turned and glared at him with murderous intensity.

“Why should I care about the feelings of someone who deserted his post?”

“He has no intention of working here anymore.

Why should his belongings remain?”

“Then perhaps I should give them to him.

We live in the same room, after all.”

“No need!

I’m throwing them away right now!”

She lifted the box.

“Stop staring.

Sit down!”

“Y-yes!”

Her oppressive presence reminded Kazuomi of the merciless pressure she had exerted during his interview.

By the time he recovered, he was already seated, watching Tojo storm from the office with the box in her arms.

Kazuomi was left completely alone.

He stared at the door.

“Koji… What exactly did you do?”

The intensity of Tojo’s reaction even made Kazuomi wonder whether Koji’s supposed errand that afternoon had actually been an attempt to avoid her.

Although—

He was half correct.
