“Oh, Sister, look, isn’t that bird Xiao Hei?

It looks so similar!”

Han Xinghua followed her sister’s pointing finger and saw a completely black bird standing on the roof of the building opposite, staring directly at her.Full novel: Myriad Dao Sovereign — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She rubbed her eyes again, which had blurred from tears.

After watching for a moment, Han Xinghua extended an arm and tried to softly call out, “Xiao Hei.”

Xiao Hei was bought by Han Yang three years ago when he was shopping with Han Xinghua in Jiayuan City.

It had been kept in Han Xinghua’s courtyard ever since.

Han Xinghua was also one of only two people who had fed Xiao Hei and been accepted by her.

Xiao Hei, whose intelligence had not yet awakened, flew to Han Xinghua’s arm and landed without hesitation when she called.

Han Xinghua stared at Xiao Hei on her arm, stunned.

Han Xingzhi was also stunned.

The two sisters exchanged glances, seemingly seeing a hint of something unusual in each other’s eyes.

“How is Xiao Hei here?

That’s so strange,”

Han Xingzhi said, and then, as if something else occurred to her, she suddenly exclaimed,

“Sister, could it be that Han Yang secretly ran away from the manor?”

“He might be in an inn in town right now!”

Han Xinghua also thought of this possibility.

The corners of her mouth uncontrollably curved into a smile, and the sorrow in her eyes instantly transformed into profound joy.

“Sister, secretly go ask the waiter for some raw meat.

Don’t let anyone know.”

Han Xingzhi nodded and had only taken a few steps when she hesitated and said,

“Sister, should we tell Father about this?”

Han Xinghua’s face instantly turned cold, and her eyes sharply bore down on her sister.

She said word by word,

“If you dare to tell Father, then from now on, you can pretend you don’t have me as a sister!”

Seeing this, Han Xingzhi pouted, then quietly slipped out of the room, found a passing waiter, whispered a few words, and then pulled out a silver ingot and handed it to the waiter. You are reading on g.com, the official source.

However, all of this was clearly seen by the on-duty Han family guards.

Inside the room, the two sisters were now sitting around the table, looking at Xiao Hei on the table.

“Sister, what’s the use of Han Yang coming here?

Didn’t Father say that unless it’s a descendant of a cultivator’s Bloodline, a Spiritual Root is probably one in ten thousand?”

“Even we might not have one.”

“Can he follow us all the way and even get into the Immortal Sect?”

The smile on Han Xinghua’s face instantly stiffened, and she frowned slightly, saying,

“But there’s always a glimmer of hope.

In any case, it’s better than staying in the Han manor as a servant.

We’ll talk about future matters later.”

Meanwhile, in another guest room not far away.

Han Haiyan looked at the waiter with a puzzled expression, then at the plate of sliced raw meat in front of him.

Seeing that he couldn’t get a clear explanation, he waved his hand signalling the waiter to leave, then picked up the plate and headed towards his two daughters’ room.

Soon, the sound of the door opening rang out again.

Han Xingzhi thought it was the waiter.

She opened the door and, seeing her father, she blankly called out, “Father.”

Han Haiyan, holding the raw meat, looked strangely at his second daughter at the doorway, then through the door to his elder daughter, and then at the Falcon he had seen before.

Upon seeing her father, Han Xinghua’s heart panicked.

In a flash, she grabbed Xiao Hei and threw her out the window, anxiously shouting,

“Xiao Hei, run!”

His daughter’s strange behaviour stunned Han Haiyan.

After a while, he frowned and said,

“What’s going on with you two?

And how is Xiao Hei here?”

Han Xingzhi lowered her head, looking like she had done something wrong, occasionally glancing at her elder sister.

Han Haiyan didn’t press them.

He entered the room, sat down, and looked at his two daughters, deep in thought.

After a moment, he said with some shock,

“Did Han Yang run away from the manor?”

The two girls still didn’t speak.

Han Xingzhi didn’t dare to speak because she was afraid of offending her elder sister.

She was also thinking that her father couldn’t go to the Immortal Sect.

Her mother had repeatedly told her to listen to her elder sister more from now on, as her elder sister was her only reliance.

If she offended her elder sister, she feared her life would be difficult in the future.

As for Han Xinghua, she was afraid that her father would have people deal with Han Yang later, and even more afraid of cutting off Han Yang’s slim chance at immortal destiny.

Han Haiyan saw the two daughters’ reactions and had already guessed seven or eight parts of it.

He cursed Lu Yuanba, that good-for-nothing in his heart.

Since Han Yang could follow them, then wouldn’t Han Da’s family of three also be unstoppable?

Han Yang was fine.

He had watched him grow up since he was little.

Although the stories he told were somewhat unconventional and he dreamed of marrying into their Han family, he was a grateful person and would never harbour intentions of harming their Han family.

But Han Da was hard to say.

After all, his daughter had crippled his son’s leg.

As for Han Da’s character, he was a cunning old dog.

He still remembered how ruthless Han Da was when he was young, killing people without even blinking.

As for why he didn’t kill Han Da in the manor…

As Han Haiyan thought of this, he suddenly slapped his thigh and said,

“Damn it, I’ve probably fallen for that old dog’s trick!”
