He certainly didn’t care about a small fry like Uchiha Ryuichi; what he cared about was the Uchiha Ryūgan behind him.

A Jonin harboring malice towards him was simply impossible to deal with given his current capabilities.

But now, Uchiha Ryuichi’s tailing almost made it clear to him that the other side was about to make a move.Full novel: Naruto : Becoming The Strongest In Naruto World with Uchiha Clan — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Then he had to come up with a countermeasure: “Since you are seeking death, don’t blame me.”

Uchiha Nan turned and walked in another direction.

He couldn’t deal with Uchiha Ryūgan, but others could—they might not even need to kill him.

Following the map in his mind, Uchiha Nan passed by houses of various shapes and sizes until he arrived in front of an ornate wooden door.

He stepped forward and knocked on the door: “Tekka-kun, is Tekka-kun home?”

Soon, a maid opened the gate.

Seeing the child in front of her, she couldn’t help but be stunned, but she still asked with a polite smile,

“Hello, who are you looking for?”

“Hello, big sister.

I am Uchiha Tekka’s classmate.

Is he home?

I came to play with him.”

Uchiha Nan asked, pretending to be an innocent child.

“Young Master Tekka just returned home.”

The maid didn’t suspect anything and led Uchiha Nan across the courtyard to a solemn hall.

“Young Master Tekka, someone is here to see you.” After saying that, she withdrew.

Uchiha Tekka, who was diligently studying Ninjutsu, couldn’t help but be stunned.

Who would come to find him?

After walking out, he realized it was the classmate who had defeated him.

“Nan-kun, why are you here?”

“I came to find you for something.

Tekka, is the Great Elder home?”

That’s right, Uchiha Nan coming to find Uchiha Tekka at this time was just an excuse; the person he really wanted to see was…

Tekka’s grandfather, the Great Elder of the Uchiha Clan, the person who managed the Uchiha Clan together with the clan leader, Uchiha Fugaku.

If he had stated clearly at the door that he wanted to see the Great Elder, he probably wouldn’t even have been able to enter the gate.

He could only go through Uchiha Tekka as an intermediary.

Still, he led him to a very ordinary small house.

He nodded to Uchiha Nan and went into the bedroom to announce him.

“Grandfather, my classmate, Uchiha Nan, wishes to pay you a visit.”

Soon, an aged voice came from the room.

“Oh, is it that adopted son of Fugaku, the one who defeated you in the Uchiha Plaza?”

“Grandfather, how did you know?” Uchiha Tekka asked, his surprise mixed with a hint of shame.

“Grandfather, I have disgraced you.

I wasn’t able to beat him.” As he spoke, Uchiha Tekka lowered his head.

“Haha, little Tekka, there aren’t many things in the Uchiha Clan Compound that can be hidden from your grandfather.”

The Great Elder of the Uchiha Clan smiled and patted his grandson’s head: “Losing is not scary; what is scary is losing confidence.”

After his grandson’s mood calmed down, the Great Elder of the Uchiha Clan said,

“Bring him in, then you should withdraw.

I will have a good chat with this genius of ours from the Uchiha Clan to see what business he has with an Old man like me.”

Uchiha Tekka followed his grandfather’s instructions, brought Uchiha Nan inside, and then closed the door and left.

Uchiha Nan looked at the Old man sitting in the chair before him; although his figure was hunched, he carried a majestic sense of oppression.

He held his head high and cupped his hands in a salute.

“Uchiha Nan greets the Great Elder.”

The Great Elder of the Uchiha Clan did not answer; he merely stood up with his slightly hunched frame, his expression becoming serious.

The surrounding air instantly solidified, rushing towards Uchiha Nan with boundless pressure.

It was as if the Old Man before him was the master of the entire world, and everything in the room began to target Uchiha Nan.

The stools, chairs, and even the floor seemed to have gained consciousness, lunging at him.

But Uchiha Nan, like a lone boat in a storm, stood firmly on the surface of the sea, no matter how high the surrounding waves were or how terrifying the ocean was.

He kept his mind steady, staring fixedly at the Old Man before him without even blinking.

“Good, the younger generation is to be feared.” The Great Elder of the Uchiha Clan suddenly smiled on his aged face and sat back down in his chair.

At this moment, the room in Uchiha Nan’s eyes returned to normal; the table was still the same table, and the floor was still the same calm floor.

Everything just now was fake, just like the harmless-looking Old Man in the room.

“Was everything just now an illusion?” Uchiha Nan didn’t stand on ceremony; he pulled out the chair opposite the Old Man and sat down.

He picked up the teapot on the table, poured himself a cup of tea, and drank it in one gulp, moistening his parched throat.

“No, it wasn’t entirely an illusion.

A part of it was a combination of everything this Old Man has learned in his life.”

“Young man, what business do you have with an Old Man like me who is about to turn into rotten wood?”

Uchiha Nan poured himself another cup of tea: “You are certainly not just old bones.

In the clan, your words carry more weight than Uchiha Fugaku’s, right?”

The Great Elder didn’t respond, only picking up the cup in his hand and taking a light sip.

Uchiha Nan didn’t mind the Old fellow’s attitude and placed his hands on the table.

“Great Elder, I wonder how you view the future of the Uchiha Clan.”

The Great Elder still didn’t speak, only continuing to drink his water with his eyes slightly narrowed.

“Ever since Senju Hashirama died, the Second Hokage established a policy to suppress the Uchiha Clan.”

“After the Third Hokage succeeded to the position, he and that bunch of people, including Danzo Shimura, continued to suppress the Uchiha with increasing severity.”

“Are you, sir, content with this?”

It seemed that these words struck a chord in the Great Elder’s heart.

He finally put down the teacup in his hand and looked at Uchiha Nan with a smile.

“What does this have to do with me?

You should go talk to Clan Leader Fugaku about this!

Aren’t you his adopted son?”

Uchiha Nan gave a disdainful smile.

“It’s just for show for the clansmen.

I believe you are clear about my situation; I don’t have the slightest connection to him.”

“As for Uchiha Fugaku’s capabilities, I don’t want to express any opinion on something that simply doesn’t exist.”

“The Uchiha must change.

We are guarding the Konoha Military Police Force, and we are constantly offending people in the Village.”

“And the clansmen all have an arrogant nature, which will only cause the Uchiha to drift further and further away from Konoha.”

“The clansmen are also furious about the Hokage faction’s precautions against us, and there have even started to be words that are unfavorable to peace.”

“I don’t believe you, sir, are unaware of all this.”

After saying this, Uchiha Nan also fell silent, sitting in the chair and closing his eyes to rest.

Uchiha Nan wasn’t worried at all that the Old fellow wouldn’t respond; this Old Man was a die-hard loyalist who had followed Uchiha Madara in his early years.

He didn’t follow Uchiha Madara when he left Konoha, only because he felt the Uchiha Clan could survive and develop better in Konoha.

He stayed in Konoha for the sake of the clan; Uchiha Nan wasn’t afraid at all that the Old fellow wouldn’t be tempted.
