Inside a room in Konoha Village, a young boy wearing a genin headband sat cross-legged on his bed.
The corners of his mouth were slightly curled, and his eyes were focused as he kept fiddling with a light screen in front of him.
A moment later, he stopped.
He blew on it gently.
As he looked at the contents of the screen, the corners of his mouth lifted of their own accord.
“Done.”
“Now, let’s begin…”
The boy’s name was Lu Chen.
Not long ago, he had transmigrated into this Naruto world.
Just as he was preparing to rely on the Naruto knowledge he already had—cling to Naruto, kick Orochimaru, punch Obito, keep Tsunade on one side and Mei Terumi on the other, and work himself to the bone for Konoha’s future—a system suddenly appeared in his mind.
It told him that this was not the Naruto world he knew.
It was a world about to be invaded by anomalies, one that could be destroyed at any moment.
Lu Chen: “Who the hell did I offend? Heavens, why are you doing this to me?”
Complaints aside, he had no choice if he wanted to live.
He had to follow the system’s instructions: establish the Anomalous Containment Facility and spread information about the anomalies.
The more people who learned about the anomalies and the Facility, the more rewards he would receive—bases, personnel, containment tools, and so on.
After working for several days and nights without sleep, Lu Chen finally finished the video.
“Detected that the host has finished producing the video material. Does the host wish to broadcast it?”
Lu Chen rubbed his hands together, his face full of excitement.
“Broadcast it! Broadcast it now!”
He hit the broadcast button.
The instant he did, a huge light screen appeared in the sky above everyone in the ninja world.
In the center was a flashing, eye-catching title:
**Anomalous Containment Facility**
The five great ninja villages immediately grew tense.
Almost every jōnin was mobilized at once, and they tried to attack the screen.
No matter what they used, the light screen did not change in the slightest.
Seeing that it could not be shattered, people broke into heated discussion.
“What is this thing?”
“Why don’t the jōnin’s attacks work?”
“Anomalous Containment Facility? What is that?”
**Konoha Village**
The Third Hokage frowned at the screen in the sky.
What kind of ninjutsu could create something like this—and withstand the attacks of dozens of jōnin without a scratch?
And what was the Anomalous Containment Facility?
The name of the screen?
Or the name of a faction?
“Hokage-sama! Do you see that light screen that just appeared?”
**Iwagakure**
Ōnoki frowned tightly at the screen that had appeared above the village, treating jōnin attacks as nothing.
Why had it shown up here?
What was its purpose?
While he was thinking, a beautiful long-legged young woman walked into the Tsuchikage’s office.
Ōnoki smiled at once.
“Kurotsuchi, why are you here?”
Kurotsuchi, his granddaughter and the future Fourth Tsuchikage, looked up at the screen floating outside the window and frowned.
“Grandpa, what is this Anomalous Containment Facility?”
**Kirigakure**
Yuan Shi stared at the sudden light screen, eyes full of vigilance.
In a place as closed-off as Kirigakure, how could something like this appear?
Ever since the First Mizukage, the village had been isolated from the world.
For an ordinary person, getting in was as hard as climbing to heaven—let alone putting something like this in the sky.
Yuan Shi was certain this was not ninjutsu.
But if it wasn’t ninjutsu, then what was it?
Just as he was about to investigate further, a great deal of text appeared on the once-dark screen, and a low voice spoke:
“Humanity has thrived for years, but only the last four years have been meaningful.”
“So what were we doing during those years?”
“We huddled in caves, sat around small campfires, and feared the things we did not understand.”
A scene appeared.
In a pitch-black cave, seven primitive humans clutching spears shivered as they stared outside.
Something beyond the mouth of the cave clearly terrified them.
Then a man behind them started a fire by friction.
With a torch, he drove back the unknown fear.
The primitives took fire for a gift from the heavens.
To thank the heavens, they worshipped the torch.
Amid that worship, a force of unknown origin slowly emerged.
“Thus gods appeared. And with the gods came ghosts.”
“We prayed to them for forgiveness and salvation.”
“As human civilization advanced, fear of the unknown grew smaller and smaller.”
“But the things that cannot be explained did not disappear.”
“It is as if the universe is deliberately trying to manifest the absurd and the incredible.”
Then another scene appeared before everyone: in some forgotten corner, several people struggling against countless anomalies.
