After concluding his discussions with the Daimyo, Uchiha Hikaru did not rush back immediately.
Instead, he took a detour to visit the Temple of Fire.
In the original story, Chiriku—one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja—was the abbot of the Temple of Fire.
Chiriku possessed a technique called “Raigō: Senju Satsu” (Welcome: Thousand Hands Killing).
It resembled a miniature version of the True Several Thousand Hands.
When activated, it manifested a Thousand-Armed Kannon behind the user, combining offense and defense.
When struck, it would transform into the manifestation of Fudō Myōō.
When Chiriku faced the combined assault of Hidan and Kakuzu, he managed to hold off an entire wave of attacks with this technique.
Though he was ultimately killed, for a jonin to accomplish that much already proved the technique was no ordinary one.
The Temple of Fire was located in a forested area east of the Capital of the Land of Fire.
Hikaru did not conceal his identity.
His signature Uchiha hairstyle and the Konoha forehead protector he wore were enough for anyone to recognize where he came from.
As he entered the temple, a middle-aged monk approached him.
“An honored guest from the Uchiha clan has traveled far.
May I ask what brings you here?”
“Abbot, I apologize for the intrusion.
I hope you do not take offense.”
The abbot of the Temple of Fire was named Chūkaku.
Given the Uchiha’s fearsome reputation, Chūkaku dared not say much.
He was not eager to meet the Buddha just yet.
“I have heard that your temple possesses a technique called Raigō: Senju Satsu.” Hikaru got straight to the point.
“I have come specifically to see it.
Would the master be willing to accommodate me?”
Abbot Chūkaku shook his head.
“Our temple has no such technique as Raigō: Senju Satsu.
The honored guest must have misheard.”
In the original story, Chūkaku—as Chiriku’s master—indeed did not know the technique himself.
But there was no way he was unaware of it.
With its Thousand-Armed Kannon and Fudō Myōō imagery, it was clearly a technique developed by combining Buddhism with ninjutsu.
Moreover, Raigō: Senju Satsu was a secret technique passed down through generations at the Temple of Fire.
This monk Chūkaku was being dishonest.
Hikaru did not bother trading words with him further.
He activated his Sharingan directly.
Since questioning would not work, he would take it himself.
Wouldn’t it have been better to donate it willingly?
Why force him to resort to force?
Abbot Chūkaku, being merely Chiriku’s academic instructor, did not even possess jonin-level strength.
He was caught in the genjutsu in an instant.
Hikaru extracted the location of the scroll from him and successfully obtained the technique scroll containing Raigō: Senju Satsu. Find the original chapter at g.com.
He flipped through it—the technique’s principles, hand seals, and chakra circulation routes were all thoroughly documented.
After making a copy, Hikaru returned the original scroll to its place.
The Sharingan was truly too convenient.
Take just now—if he had kept arguing with that monk Chūkaku, they could have wasted half a day.
One genjutsu and it was done.
After putting away the scroll, Hikaru placed another genjutsu on Chūkaku, making him completely forget what had happened that day.
Konoha Village, Konoha White House.
Uchiha Madara, the Hokage, and his best friend Hashirama Senju were off traveling across the shinobi world capturing Tailed Beasts.
Thanks to the Three Departments and Six Ministries system, most administrative affairs were handled through delegation.
The only thing the Hokage truly needed to do personally was sign documents with his vermilion brush.
Hikaru had just entered the White House when he heard Tobirama Senju’s scolding voice.
“You can’t even handle this small task.
Why did Uchiha Hikaru send you here?”
“I truly don’t know how Hikaru made you his assistant.”
“And now you’re Left Vice Minister of the Civil Affairs Department.
This village is practically becoming an Uchiha dictatorship.
Everyone in the administration might as well have ‘Uchiha’ stamped on their foreheads.
Absolutely infuriating.”
Uchiha Yui had been appointed by Hikaru as Left Vice Minister of the Civil Affairs Department.
One of her daily duties was to interface specifically with Chancellor Tobirama Senju—Hikaru had deliberately created opportunities for them, a small act of authority.
“Tobirama-sama, my sincerest apologies.” Yui said cautiously.
“I will correct it right away.”
“Never mind.
You go first.
I’ll handle the rest.”
Though Tobirama Senju despised the Uchiha, he was not the type to take his anger out on a young Uchiha girl.
He had spoken too harshly some time ago and made her cry.
When a girl cried, he was at a loss.
“Thank you, Tobirama-sama.” Yui said.
“But I would like to stay and help if I may.”
Yui still remembered the mission Hikaru had given her—to sleep-convince Tobirama Senju.
But she felt it was a mission she would never complete.
Tobirama-sama was always cold, always harsh, always pushing people away, and he particularly loathed the Uchiha.
She was destined to disappoint Hikaru-sama.
“Wrong again.”
Before long, Tobirama’s roaring voice echoed from the room once more.
Hikaru stood outside the door, not entering.
Though that old fox Tobirama was constantly angry, he had not driven Yui away.
Once Tobirama gradually grew accustomed to having Yui around, he could apply a little more pressure, and he had no doubt Tobirama would eventually fall for it.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.
The Senju domineering CEO falling for the Uchiha innocent little sister—what a scandalous headline.
If Izuna ever found out, he would laugh at Tobirama for the rest of his life.
Hikaru did not disturb them.
He turned and left.
Returning to his office, Hikaru sent for Sarutobi Sasuke.
“Hikaru-sama, you called for me?”
“During this trip to the Capital of the Land of Fire, the Daimyo increased his aid by two billion.” Hikaru said.
“The Daimyo will also be opening shops in Konoha’s Food and Entertainment District in the future.
During this time, nobles from the Land of Fire will gradually move in as well.”
“Draw up a plan to promote Konoha’s image.” Hikaru continued.
“Attracting investment and commerce has always been a top priority.
This is our chance to showcase Konoha’s image to the Land of Fire and the entire shinobi world.”
“Yes, Hikaru-sama.” Sarutobi Sasuke nodded.
“I will attend to it immediately.”
After Sasuke left, Hikaru closed the door, took out the copied scroll from the Temple of Fire, and began studying it carefully.
In the original story, Chiriku had passed Raigō: Senju Satsu on to Sarutobi Asuma.
Asuma, as the Hokage’s son, was utterly disappointing.
Hiruzen had hoped Asuma would succeed him as Hokage, yet he had instead run off to become one of the Twelve Guardian Ninja serving the Daimyo.
Later, when the Twelve Guardian Ninja were effectively disbanded, he returned to Konoha to continue serving as a jonin.
Even then, Hiruzen never gave up on him, assigning him the new generation Ino-Shika-Cho as his students.
Unfortunately, a disappointment was a disappointment.
After all those years, he had never made a name for himself.
Even “Fifty-Fifty” Kakashi had at least earned the title “Konoha’s Number One Technician.”
Raigō: Senju Satsu had a relatively fast activation speed.
One only needed to form a specific hand seal and channel chakra along a fixed route, and a Thousand-Armed Kannon would manifest behind them to attack.
The technique’s power depended on the user’s chakra—the more chakra, the larger the Kannon, and the greater its offensive and defensive capabilities.
The only drawback was that the hand seal could not be changed.
In the original story, when Chiriku and Asuma used this technique, they basically stood still with little room to perform other actions.
But for Hikaru, this was not a problem at all.
He had Susanoo.
He could activate Susanoo, then within it, activate Raigō: Senju Satsu—Susanoo combined with the Thousand-Armed Kannon.
This would be the Uchiha clan’s own True Several Thousand Hands.
The more Hikaru thought about it, the more feasible it seemed.
Unfortunately, the technique was too chakra-intensive.
Without the Nine-Tails as a battery pack, he simply could not sustain it.
