Chapter 10: Offline-Level Cheat Upgrade

Naruto: Fusion System

Seeing the strange look on Uzumaki Rin's face, Orochimaru asked curiously, "Rin-kun, is there something wrong with that name?"

"Ah… no, it just sounds a bit unusual," Rin replied quickly, shaking his head.

As for Tenzo, Rin could only silently apologize in his heart. There was nothing he could do to save him. Besides, participating in the experiment wouldn't necessarily kill him—in fact, he might even gain Wood Release. Wasn't that a good thing?

After entering Orochimaru's room, the first thing Rin noticed was a large pile of scrolls spread across the table. Next to them was a sealed test tube, which most likely contained Hashirama's cells.

Rin didn't linger on them, deliberately acting as if he hadn't noticed anything. Orochimaru had been observing his expression the entire time, and upon seeing no reaction, he relaxed slightly.

What Orochimaru feared most was that Rin had been sent by Jiraiya to spy on him. He wasn't ready to let Jiraiya and Tsunade know about his ongoing experiments.

After putting away the scrolls and special items, Orochimaru summoned another batch of scrolls.

"Rin-kun, these are all Wind Release and Water Release techniques. With your current chakra reserves, you should be able to learn most of them. What would you like to study?" Orochimaru asked.

"No need to choose. I want to learn all of them," Rin said immediately.

"Rin-kun certainly has great ambition. In that case, we'll start with the simplest techniques," Orochimaru said, opening a scroll that contained Wind Release: Wind Cutter.

From that moment on, Orochimaru began teaching Rin ninjutsu.

It had to be said—Orochimaru was an excellent teacher. At the very least, Rin felt his teaching was far superior to Jiraiya's.

While Jiraiya's students were all outstanding, Rin believed that had nothing to do with Jiraiya's teaching ability—it was simply because his students were geniuses.

When it came to ninjutsu talent, Orochimaru was undoubtedly among the very best in the entire ninja world. The only reason he hadn't mastered the Flying Thunder God Technique was likely due to a lack of spatial affinity, not a lack of ability.

Under Orochimaru's focused guidance, Rin's progress was astonishingly fast.

However, this routine only lasted a few days before Orochimaru claimed he had matters to attend to and told Rin to practice on his own with the scrolls.

Rin didn't believe him at all. "Matters to attend to" probably meant continuing his experiments. Still, it didn't matter—having the scrolls was enough.

So Rin left with a large stack of ninjutsu scrolls in his arms.

This was the advantage of having powerful backing.

A civilian ninja would be fortunate to learn even a single B-rank technique. Even Orochimaru's own disciples wouldn't be handed this many scrolls at once—learning a few techniques would already be considered generous.

But Rin now possessed scrolls ranging from C-rank to A-rank, covering both Wind and Water Release—over a hundred techniques in total—just like that.

If it were anyone else, it would be unimaginable.

When Rin returned to Tsunade's house carrying the scrolls, even Tsunade was shocked. For a moment, she thought he had robbed the ANBU's storage room.

After learning that Orochimaru had given them to him, she relaxed. Orochimaru's obsession with ninjutsu research was well known, so this wasn't too surprising.

However, even with so many techniques available, Rin wasn't satisfied.

If he had to learn them one by one, who knew how long it would take?

At this moment, a certain "offline leveling cheat" became essential—

The Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu.

"Tsunade, can you take me to the Third Hokage to get a technique?" Rin immediately activated his "Cuteness Release."

"What technique? I'll get it for you," Tsunade said confidently, patting her chest.

"The Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu. I want to use it to train ninjutsu," Rin said without hesitation.

Hearing this, Tsunade frowned.

"Where did you hear about that forbidden technique? While using shadow clones for training can accelerate mastery, if you fail to control the 'limit,' it can seriously harm your body," she said sternly. She had treated people who suffered from its side effects and knew its dangers well.

"Tsunade, don't forget—I have a Sage Body," Rin said quickly.

"…I'll get it first. We'll test it later. If it doesn't work, you're never allowed to use it again," Tsunade said after some thought.

"Yes! Tsunade is the best!"

Before long, Tsunade returned—with the entire Sealing Scroll.

Rin was stunned.

He had only wanted the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu—who knew she would bring back the entire Scroll of Seals?

"Why are you zoning out again? Don't you want to learn it?" Tsunade asked.

"Wait… is all of this the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu?" Rin asked, feigning surprise.

"Don't be ridiculous. This is the Scroll of Seals—it contains all of Konoha's forbidden techniques. The Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu is just one of them. How could it take up this much space?" Tsunade said with a laugh.

"Oh… I see. So everything here is powerful, then?"

"Don't even think about it. You're lucky enough to learn this one. If you start messing with multiple forbidden techniques, you'll end up killing yourself sooner or later," Tsunade said irritably.

…As expected, it wouldn't be that easy.

Fine. I'll master the Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu first. There'll be plenty of opportunities later.

It didn't take long for Rin to grasp the hand seals and chakra flow required for the technique. He also memorized its restrictions—but those didn't matter to him. He wasn't an ordinary person.

Half an hour later, Rin stood in the courtyard and shouted:

"Multiple Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

Boom!!!

A burst of smoke filled the entire courtyard.

When it cleared, hundreds of Rins stood packed together, filling every inch of space.

At a glance, there were at least several hundred clones.
