7. The Sleepover

Naruto : Hypnosis Jutsu(18+)

The dining room fell completely silent for a fraction of a second. Himawari's innocent observation hung in the air, her small finger still pointing directly at the corner of Inori's plush lips.

Inori froze, her breath catching in her throat. Her heart hammered wildly against her ribs. Slowly, with a trembling hand, she reached up.

Her index finger brushed against the corner of her mouth, catching the thick, viscous white droplet on her fingertip.

She lowered her hand, her glazed teal eyes staring at the undeniable evidence of her hidden submission.

The hypnotic command still buzzed heavily in her subconscious, an absolute directive to serve and conceal.

Driven by that lingering, dark compulsion, she slowly brought her finger to her parted lips. Her pink tongue darted out, gently sweeping over her fingertip and licking the salty white liquid completely clean.

"Thank you, Himawari," Inori said, her voice breathy but remarkably steady as she forced a bright, polite smile. "It was just a bit of sticky rice."

Himawari beamed, perfectly satisfied with the explanation, and turned her attention back to her porcelain bowl

'Remarkable,' I thought, taking a slow sip of my tea. 'Her subconscious is rationalizing the commands perfectly, protecting the secret at all costs.'

Kushina, completely oblivious to the intense psychological warfare that had just concluded beneath her own table, clapped her hands together with a cheerful, ringing sound.

"Well, it is getting quite late," Kushina announced, glancing out the dining room window at the darkened village sky. She turned her warm, motherly gaze toward Sarada and Inori.

"You girls have been studying so hard upstairs, and your bellies are completely full. Why do you not both stay over tonight? We have plenty of room, and it is much safer than walking back across the Leaf in the dark."

Sarada paused, pushing her red-framed glasses up the bridge of her nose as she considered the offer.

"That is very kind of you, Kushina-sama. I suppose my mother is working a late shift at the hospital tonight anyway. I would be honored to stay, as long as it is no trouble for Lord Seventh."

Sarada's dark, respectful eyes shifted toward me.

"Not a problem at all, Sarada," I replied smoothly, offering them both a welcoming, fatherly smile.

"My house is always open to you girls. We can set up the guest futons in the spare room."

I shifted my gaze to the blonde kunoichi sitting beside me. Inori was still visibly flushed, her chest rising and falling in shallow breaths.

The lingering taste of her service was still fresh on her tongue, and the absolute reality of her situation was tearing through her mind.

Yet, when she met my deep blue eyes, that swirling, hypnotic darkness flickered in the depths of her memory.

"I would love to stay, Kushina-sama," Inori agreed, her voice soft and entirely compliant. "Thank you for having us."

"Wonderful!" Kushina cheered, standing up to begin gathering the empty plates.

"Himawari, help me clear the table. You girls go ahead and wash up for bed."

As the table began to clear, Inori carefully stood up from her chair, her legs trembling slightly as she smoothed down her clothing.

She kept her eyes glued to the floor, acutely aware of my heavy gaze tracking her every movement.

I walked up the stairs, leaving Kushina and Himawari to finish washing the dishes in the kitchen.

The wooden floorboards creaked softly under my weight as I made my way down the hallway, passing the closed door of the spare bedroom where Sarada and Inori were getting settled for the night.

Inside my own master bedroom, I closed the heavy oak door and locked it with a sharp, definitive click.

The room was bathed in the pale moonlight filtering through the window, casting long shadows across the floor.

At eighteen years old, my body and chakra reserves had already matured well beyond the standard Kage level.

I did not need a System to hold my hand for every little jutsu, especially when I had the ultimate battery sealed right inside my gut. For something this delicate, I just needed my partner's raw power.

'Hey, Kurama,' I called out into my own mindscape, my cerulean eyes scanning the dim room. 'I need absolute isolation in this space. No sound escaping, no vibrations, and absolutely no chakra signatures leaking out into the hallway.'

A deep, rumbling chuckle echoed from the massive cage within my subconscious.

'You are playing a dangerous, greedy game with that Yamanaka girl,' the great fox rumbled back in my mind, his crimson eyes gleaming in the dark void.

'But fine. Channel my chakra. We will weave a localized space barrier.'

I closed my eyes, tapping directly into the boiling, dense red chakra of the Nine Tails. I guided the raw, immense power carefully, weaving it with precise spatial seals around the perimeter of my bedroom.

A faint, crimson hum vibrated through the air before settling permanently into the walls, the floorboards, and the heavy oak door.

Instantly, the faint, ambient chirping of the night crickets outside my window vanished. The distant hum of the village went entirely dead.

The silence inside my bedroom was absolute, heavy, and perfect. I could scream at the top of my lungs, and not even the legendary sensory ninja of the Leaf would hear a single whisper.

'Perfect,' I thought, a dark smirk stretching across my face as I began to unfasten my Hokage robes.

I waited in the absolute silence of my sealed bedroom for another thirty minutes, allowing the natural rhythm of the house to completely settle.

Once I was certain my mother and daughter were fast asleep in their respective rooms, I adjusted the localized space barrier just enough to let my heavy oak door open without making a single sound.

The hallway was incredibly dark, illuminated only by a faint stream of silver moonlight spilling through the window at the far end of the corridor.

I walked silently across the wooden floorboards, completely masking my chakra signature and my footsteps. The house was peaceful, entirely unaware of the predator roaming its halls.

As I neared the spare bedroom, a thin sliver of warm yellow light peeked out from beneath the closed door.

I paused right outside the wooden frame, standing perfectly still as I leaned in slightly. My enhanced senses easily picked up the hushed, whispered conversation happening inside the room.

"You are acting really strange tonight, Inori," Sarada's voice drifted through the wood, laced with genuine concern and sharp observation.

"You barely ate anything after we finished studying, and you looked completely terrified when Lord Seventh was talking to his mother."

A soft rustling of blankets followed. I could perfectly picture the blonde kunoichi shifting nervously on her futon, her mind still completely scrambled from the intense service she had been forced to provide earlier.

"I am fine, Sarada, I promise," Inori replied. Her voice sounded deeply exhausted, yet there was a desperate edge of deflection to it, heavily driven by the subconscious commands to protect our secret.

"I think the study session just gave me a severe headache. And you know how intimidating Lord Seventh can be sometimes. He just has this incredibly heavy presence."

Sarada sighed softly, the sound of her removing her red-framed glasses faintly audible.

"I suppose that is true. He is the Hokage, after all, and his chakra is massive. But you were sweating profusely at the table, and then you dropped your chopsticks. It is just not like you to be so clumsy, especially around someone you respect so much."

"I know, I know," Inori whispered back, her tone carrying a profound, lingering confusion that she could not quite mask from her friend. "My mind just felt a little blurry. I just need a good night of sleep to recover."

'Her rationalization is absolutely flawless,' I thought, a dark smile stretching across my face in the shadows of the hallway.

Even in the face of her best friend's sharp Uchiha instincts, Inori was subconsciously throwing up massive defensive walls to protect the very corruption that was breaking her mind.

The eighty percent hypnotic baseline was doing exactly what it was designed to do, forcing her to lie and deceive those closest to her to keep my secrets hidden.

"Alright," Sarada conceded softly. "Let us get some rest, then. We have early training tomorrow."

"Goodnight, Sarada," Inori murmured.

A quiet click echoed from inside the room as the bedside lamp was switched off, plunging the space beneath the door into total darkness.

I waited a few more minutes, listening to the steady, rhythmic breathing of the young Uchiha as she quickly drifted off to sleep. Inori, however, was still tossing and turning, her breathing shallow and restless.

I reached out, my fingers wrapping firmly around the cool brass of the doorknob.

The lock was simple, completely utterly useless against someone with my skills. With a precise, silent pulse of chakra, the internal mechanism clicked open.

It was time to show my new toy that sleep was the absolute last thing she would be getting tonight.
