[Free Attribute Points: 1]

The eye-catching value of the free attribute point at the bottom of the status panel made Kaito beam with joy.

‘Kakashi’s Correction Progress 1%…

Correction Progress?’

The “Wish Come True System” was just a joke.

After pondering for a few seconds, Kaito turned his head to glance at Kakashi, who had already returned to his seat.

‘If I understand this correctly, all I have to do next is…

win over Kakashi to get stronger?

How much power can one free attribute point give me?’

He scanned back and forth across the attribute panel.

When his gaze landed on the three basic attributes, a (+10) appeared next to them, making his eyes widen in shock.

It was actually 10 points?

His current physical strength was only 16.71, which meant adding one free attribute point would enhance his body by…

sixty percent?

This was incredibly tempting, but he touched his hair and forced himself to calm down.

Before figuring out exactly how adding points worked, suddenly enhancing himself that much could be risky.

He still had the small frame of an eight-year-old.

If his physical strength suddenly increased by sixty percent, would he suddenly shoot up in height?

Or bulge with massive muscles?

In this era, Root should have already been established.

Orochimaru was also in Konoha, right?

He had to be on his guard.

He glanced further down.

A (+20%) appeared next to the four main skills, and a (+30%) appeared next to the nine auxiliary skills.

It was easy enough to understand.

At that moment, two more lines of text suddenly flashed across his vision:

[Kakashi’s Correction Progress 2%]

[Kakashi’s Correction Progress 3%]

‘What’s going on?

Is he getting angrier the more he thinks about it?’

Kaito turned his head again, only to meet a pair of large, slightly reproachful eyes…

It was Rin Nohara again.

‘No way, did she tattle on me?’ His mouth twitched.

What depressed him even more was that reaching 2% and 3% didn’t give him any more free attribute points.

‘Does this thing only reward specific milestones?’

In Rin’s eyes, Kaito had simply pursed his lips in indifference and started spacing out, showing absolutely no intention of apologizing.

Even with her gentle personality, she couldn’t help but feel a little angry.

But she was even angrier at Kakashi.

Kaito had guessed correctly; she and Kakashi hadn’t swapped classroom duties at all.

She had simply gone to Kakashi’s house this morning to wake him up for school, but he had refused to get out of bed.

Seeing that they were about to be late, she had no choice but to run to school and do his duty for him.

‘Kakashi, when are you going to pull yourself together…’

As she sighed, a slightly chubby young man with short hair and a square face strode into the classroom with a book tucked under his arm, drawing the attention of all the students.

Teacher Daiki, a Chunin, an elite instructor at the Ninja Academy, and the homeroom teacher for Kaito’s class.

This morning’s major lecture, Introduction to the Fire Country’s Characteristic Ninja Ideology, was his class.

Kaito’s thoughts ran deeper.

He remembered this guy appearing in the original story…

In Guy’s memories, Teacher Daiki had provided Kakashi with the perfect opportunity to show off.

Kakashi had flawlessly executed the Clone Jutsu, showing Guy what a true genius looked like.

It was also the catalyst for the countless duels between Guy and Kakashi.

But would Guy still view Kakashi as his lifelong rival now?

A butterfly effect was already taking place.

Kaito felt helpless; he was a transmigrator who hadn’t even done anything yet, and his advantage of foresight was already crumbling?

Teacher Daiki stepped up to the podium, took the books from under his arm, tapped them against the desk to align them, and turned to knock on the chalkboard.

Bang, bang, bang!

“Wake up, everyone.

Class is starting.”

“To the student who is still sleeping…” Daiki paused for two seconds and took a deep breath.

“Obito Uchiha!”

“Here!” Obito, who had been sleeping soundly, jolted awake and stood up to answer, causing the whole class to burst into laughter.

“Sit down and pay attention.

There’s only a month left until our first term’s final exams.

This course, Introduction to the Fire Country’s Characteristic Ninja Ideology, is the easiest compulsory class to score points in.

It gives me a headache when some students refuse to grab these guaranteed points.

“Oh, right, one more thing.

Your physical education teacher went on a mission, so this afternoon’s third-year PE class will be changed to a self-study period.

I’ve prepared a mock exam, so we’ll be having a pop quiz.”

“Ahhh!”

“That PE teacher is such a mission freak…”

The first, second, and fourth-year students rejoiced.

The third-year students groaned in complaint.

Kaito rolled his eyes, fighting the urge to laugh.

The system at the Ninja Academy was completely different from the schools Kaito had attended in his past life.

Each academic year was divided into three terms, separated by spring, summer, and winter breaks.

As for assessments, they used a credit system.

There were four compulsory courses totaling ten credits.

They had to be studied every year, and the credits were mandatory.

Even after earning the credits, students who didn’t graduate still had to take them to boost their grade point average.

There were six elective courses totaling nine credits, which were optional.

Once a student earned six of the nine elective credits, they could apply for the graduation exam.

Passing the graduation exam meant becoming a Genin.

This was entirely different from the rules during Naruto’s generation.

The main reason was that the Second Great Ninja War had ended less than two years ago.

Konoha was in desperate need of fresh blood, so there was no strict requirement on how many years a student had to attend.

As long as you had enough talent, you could graduate the moment you enrolled.

Of course, if a student consistently failed to graduate, they wouldn’t be allowed to waste the Academy’s teaching resources indefinitely.

During the war, the Academy had a three-year system; if you couldn’t graduate in three years, it was highly unlikely you would ever become a ninja.

After the war ended, it shifted to a six-year system.

Therefore, the oldest students currently in the Academy were only fourth-year seniors, with Kaito’s batch right behind them.

The previous Kaito had always worked hard, hoping to successfully graduate by his fifth year at the latest.

This alone was proof that his grades were truly nothing to write home about.

His compulsory courses were fine.

He could pass them all and get full credits, even scoring in the seventies for his better subjects.

But his electives…

he only passed one of them, and his worst subject sat at a dismal score in the teens.

‘What a terrible student.’ Kaito scratched his head and opened his auxiliary skill panel for a quick look.

[Introduction to the Fire Country’s Characteristic Ninja Ideology: Level 0 (69%)]

He hid the panel.

‘So weak.

I only have one attribute point.

Does my rise to power really have to start with memorizing test questions?

Memorizing things is terrible for my hairline.’ Kaito sighed and glanced at Kakashi again.

His eyes shifted, eventually locking onto the lunchbox peeking halfway out of Kakashi’s backpack.

The major course on the Introduction to the Fire Country’s Characteristic Ninja Ideology consisted of two parts.

One part was the Shinobi Rules, which was taught similarly across the entire ninja world.

The other part was the Will of Fire.

This course required seventy-two hours per academic year.

The two hours on Monday morning, at eighty minutes per session, were the most sleep-inducing moments of the week.

After surviving those two periods, noon finally arrived.

It was lunchtime.

The students broke free like wild horses slipping their reins, heading home to eat either alone or in groups.

A small fraction of them had prepared their lunches in advance and stayed in the classroom to eat.

Kakashi was one of them.

He casually swept the items on his desk to the side, turned around, and took out his lunchbox.

Suddenly, he noticed a small piece of paper sliding off the lunchbox and falling to the floor.

This left him slightly dazed.

It had been a long time since a girl had passed him a note…

He bent down to pick up the note, but his expression quickly shifted to a stunned frown.

He turned his head back to look at his lunchbox.

‘Coward, you only deserve to eat my spit.

Blegh!

(Sticking tongue out)’

“…Obito?

How childish.” He hesitated for a moment before helplessly putting the lunchbox back into his backpack.

“What’s wrong, Kakashi?

Is today’s lunch not to your liking?

I can’t finish mine, so I can share half with you,” Rin asked, noticing the situation.

“No need.

I’ll go out to eat,” Kakashi refused, secretly crumpling the note into a ball.

Rin sharply caught the movement and silently held out her hand.

The two remained locked in a stalemate for three seconds before Kakashi admitted defeat.

[Kakashi’s Correction Progress 4%]

[Kakashi’s Correction Progress 5%, Awarded Free Attribute Point * 1]

[Kakashi’s Correction Progress 6%]

As the three lines of text flashed by, Kaito, who had been observing from the shadows, felt his eyes light up as he beamed with delight.

Rin, however, puffed up her cheeks and gritted out in utter dissatisfaction, “O!!

BI!!

TO!!!”
