You turned and left the council hall together.

Madara was in a pleasant mood, the corners of his mouth curving in a faint arc.

His words carried a bit of ambiguity and dominance, as though declaring a special kind of belonging.

You were slightly startled and naturally heard the double meaning in his words, but only furrowed your brows faintly and chose to consciously ignore the implication.

Not long after walking out of the council hall, you heard a shout from the distance: “Onii-chan!”

Izuna ran over swiftly from afar like a cheerful little leopard, pounced onto Madara, and tightly hugged Madara’s waist with both hands.

His small head rubbed against Madara’s chest, his face brimming with an innocent smile.

Immediately afterward, Ryoei and Kiya also slowly walked over.

Their gazes moved back and forth between Madara and you, their eyes flashing with curiosity and suspicion.

The corners of Ryoei’s mouth lifted slightly with a playful smile, while Kiya narrowed his eyes faintly, seeming to want to search out some secret from your expressions.

Seeing the three younger brothers like this, Madara inwardly cried bitterly.

He understood their curiosity far too well.

Worried that their overly enthusiastic actions would frighten Uchiha Nagi, he hurriedly warned the three with his eyes, that gaze carrying some severity and unquestionable authority.

Looking at this warm scene before you, a different sort of emotion rose in your heart.

You felt that you seemed somewhat unnecessary here, like an intruder disturbing this closeness between brothers.

And so, you nodded slightly, indicating that you would leave first.

After you left, Izuna immediately jumped down from Madara and, together with Ryoei and Kiya, surrounded Madara.

The three began asking questions all at once.

“Onii-chan, what exactly is your relationship with Elder Nagi?” Izuna blinked his big eyes, his face full of curiosity.

“Big Brother, are you hiding some secret from us?” Ryoei also joined the teasing, a wicked smile on his face.

Kiya echoed from the side, “Exactly.

From your expressions just now, it’s obvious something is going on.”

Madara was given a headache by the three of them chattering.

He sighed helplessly, and his patience gradually reached its limit.

“Enough!” Madara shouted lowly, a trace of annoyance flashing in his eyes.

“If you are this idle, then I will increase your training assignments.”

The moment they heard this, the three immediately wailed.

“No, Onii-chan, we won’t dare again.” Izuna looked pitifully at Madara, trying to beg for mercy.

Ryoei and Kiya also had bitter expressions, but they knew that once Madara decided something, it was difficult to change.

Madara looked at the three of them and found it secretly amusing, but still pretended to be serious.

Satisfied, he turned and walked toward his own residence, leaving the three younger brothers sighing where they stood.

After returning to your own residence, you sat on the tatami by the window, looking at the sky outside and sinking into thought.

“Loyal to him?” you murmured to yourself, complex emotions rising in your heart.

You did not know why headquarters and the hawk faction had made such an arrangement.

Being loyal to Uchiha Madara meant your fates would become even more tightly connected.

Your feelings toward Madara were very complicated.

You admired his strength and leadership ability, yet also felt somewhat at a loss toward the forcefulness and ambiguity he occasionally revealed.

You knew deeply that you bore the family’s mission.

No matter what, you would do everything within your ability to complete the arrangement.

Only, amid these complicated family struggles and emotional entanglements, where should you go from here?

When you woke in the morning and pushed open the door, you keenly sensed another person’s chakra aura and subconsciously attacked.

Uchiha Mami had completely not expected your reaction to be this swift.

He had originally been waiting cautiously at the door, thinking he would approach to speak once you came out, but he had not expected to be met with such a fierce attack.

He hurriedly dodged sideways, but in the end, he was still a step too slow and was firmly grabbed by the neck by your hand.

“Cough, cough…” Mami’s face flushed red.

Both hands pulled hard at your hand, wanting to break free from this fatal restraint.

His feet kicked wildly, stirring up dust from the ground into a small cloud.

Just as Mami felt he was about to suffocate, you saw the face of the person before you clearly and abruptly released your hand.

“Why are you here?” You frowned slightly, your eyes full of doubt.

You remembered Mami belonged to the dove faction, and you usually had no interaction with him.

Why would he suddenly appear at your door?

Mami gasped for breath in large mouthfuls.

Fresh air rushed into his lungs, making him cough repeatedly as he covered his neck and waved his hand, indicating that he was fine.

After his breathing steadied somewhat, he answered with a bitter smile, “Lord Nagi, I did not mean to offend you.

I truly could not approach you inside the hawk faction, so I had no choice but to use this poor method.”

His voice was still somewhat hoarse, carrying the weakness from having just been choked.

You looked at him without speaking, your gaze signaling for him to continue.

Mami organized his thoughts and stated his purpose.

“Lord Clan Head wants us to train the clan’s genius youths in genjutsu together.” Find the original chapter at g.com.

Your gaze passed over Mami and looked toward the orderly houses in the clan grounds in the distance.

The youthful yet still immature faces of those young ninja surfaced in your mind.

After a long time, you nodded lightly.

“I understand.” Your voice was calm, making it impossible to hear any emotion.

Mami secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

He knew Uchiha Nagi had a solitary personality and acted alone, so he had originally worried she would refuse.

“Then…

when do we set out?” he asked cautiously.

“Now.” You were concise, turning back into the house to take your ninja tools, then striding forward.

Mami hurriedly followed.

At the Uchiha Clan’s training field, sunlight shone down, and a group of genius youths had already been waiting for a long time.

They whispered to one another, discussing today’s training content.

When Uchiha Mami and you appeared together, everyone instantly fell silent, then burst into a small commotion.

Seeing you and Mami walk side by side, Madara inexplicably felt uncomfortable, as though something he cherished had been shared with someone else.

His brows furrowed faintly, but his face still maintained his usual calm.

A trace of displeasure difficult to detect flashed through his deep eyes.

Mami felt a dangerous gaze fall on him, that gaze almost tangible, making his back go cold.

He vigilantly looked around, but found nothing unusual, and could only hide this alertness in his heart, treating it as his own imagination.

Uchiha Mami cleared his throat and said loudly, “Today, Lord Nagi and I will improve your genjutsu.”

The moment these words came out, the crowd immediately began chattering.

Most people felt fear toward Uchiha Nagi’s unapproachable aura.

They discussed quietly, guessing what kind of strength this mysterious Lord Nagi possessed.

Your expression was calm, as though you did not hear the discussions around you.

You casually found an open area and stood still, arms folded, quietly waiting.

Seeing this, Mami did not say much.

Being able to invite Uchiha Nagi to the training field was already something to thank heaven and earth for.

Very soon, everyone formed a long line in front of Uchiha Mami.

He arranged the training process methodically, while Madara’s gaze drifted toward you from time to time.

Finally, Madara could no longer hold back and walked directly in your direction.

Seeing this, Kakunetsu hurriedly poked Izuna and asked urgently, “What’s going on with the young clan head?”

Izuna shrugged, but before he could answer, Kawarashi could not help shaking her head from the side.

“You still don’t understand?

The young clan head likes Elder Nagi.”

“Huh?” Kakunetsu’s eyes widened, his face full of disbelief.

He truly could not imagine how these two people had developed love for each other.

In his mind, the things he had accidentally done before suddenly surfaced, and his heart jolted.

He vaguely guessed the reason Madara had been angry before.

So those were the “good deeds” he had accidentally done.

“Use genjutsu on me,” you said, looking at Madara.

Madara was slightly stunned, not expecting you to make such a request.

He stared into your eyes.

A moment later, his Sharingan instantly changed, the three tomoe spinning rapidly and giving off a deep, dim light.

You did not resist, allowing Madara’s genjutsu to invade your consciousness.

When you opened your eyes again, you found yourself in darkness.

A huge bright moon hung high in the sky, giving off cold light, as if only this moon remained in the entire world.

You subconsciously walked toward the moon, every step treading on emptiness.

After walking for who knew how long, you saw a familiar figure standing ahead.

Madara wore a black robe, looking like a god beneath the moonlight.

“Do you want to watch the moon with me?” Madara extended his hand.

His voice was low and gentle, and the moonlight fell on his face, outlining a firm yet soft profile.

You hesitated for a moment, and finally placed your hand in Madara’s palm.

He held your hand and led you to sit at the edge of a high cliff.

The night wind blew past, lifting both your hair.

“Sometimes I think that if everyone fell into genjutsu, perhaps there would be no war or pain.” Madara looked at you, the bright moon and your figure reflected in his deep eyes.

“Everyone falling into genjutsu?” You were shocked by Madara’s thought and frowned slightly.

“Your idea is too extreme.

Genjutsu is ultimately false; it cannot change reality.”

You tried to persuade Madara to give up this dangerous thought.

Madara was silent for a moment and silently tightened his hold on your hand, the force carrying a trace of tension difficult to detect. New chapters come out on novelping.com first.

“Perhaps.” His voice carried a trace of loneliness, as though deep in his heart, he also understood his idea was too idealized.

At this point, you already understood the strength of Madara’s genjutsu.

It was time to end this genjutsu.

You concentrated and severed the genjutsu connection between you.

After waking from the genjutsu, Madara’s gaze toward you carried some different emotion.

“I need to handle matters in the hawk faction.

I’ll leave first.” After saying this, you turned and left.

Stepping into the hawk faction hall, you keenly noticed a trace of hesitation in Reikei’s gaze, as though he had something difficult to say.

“What is it?” You had never liked beating around the bush.

Uchiha Reikei vigilantly looked around.

After confirming no one was present, he lowered his voice and said, “Those old fellows from the old faction want you to enter a marriage alliance with the Hyuga Clan.”

Madara’s deep eyes and cold, stern face involuntarily surfaced in your mind.

An inexplicable irritation surged in your heart.

“What does the clan head mean?”

“The clan head is still considering it.

After all, this marriage alliance is also an alliance in disguise.” As Reikei spoke, he shook his head helplessly.

In his view, this marriage alliance was nothing more than a political trick the old faction was playing to consolidate their own power.

Given the current situation, neither the Uchiha nor the Hyuga would easily choose to join hands during this sensitive period.

You had already seen through the old faction’s methods.

On the surface, they waved the banner of seeking benefits for the family, but in truth, it was to satisfy their own selfish desires.

Even if this marriage alliance ultimately would not succeed, the surface work still had to be done properly.

After all, the Uchiha and Hyuga were both prestigious clans.

Any slight disturbance could cause a great uproar.

You knew deeply that if the old faction’s power was not removed, the disputes within the Uchiha Clan would never calm.

You silently recorded this account.

Sooner or later, you would pay it back.

In the Senju clan grounds, Senju Hashirama sat quietly before the table, tightly holding a portrait of Uchiha Madara in his hand.

His brows were furrowed, and his eyes were full of hesitation and conflict.

The news that Itama had been captured by the Uchiha Clan was like a heavy stone pressing on his heart, making him unable to sleep or eat peacefully.

Thinking that his younger brother might be suffering at this moment made Hashirama’s heart ache.

He knew Madara was a powerful opponent of the Uchiha Clan, but every time he recalled his meetings with Madara, those pure and happy times made it impossible for him to feel pure hostility toward Madara.

Amid worry and conflict, Hashirama decided to go again to that river where he and Madara had once skipped stones together.

Perhaps there, he could find peace in his heart and sort out his chaotic thoughts.

A gentle breeze brushed the grass by the river, and the water flowed murmuringly, creating ripples one layer after another.

Senju Hashirama wandered alone along this familiar riverbank, his heart like the river water, surging with waves and difficult to calm.

The Uchiha Clan and Senju Clan had accumulated grievances for a long time.

The flames of hatred burned fiercely between the two clans, seeming impossible to extinguish forever.

From afar, Hashirama saw that familiar figure.

It was Uchiha Madara.

He took a deep breath, tried hard to calm himself, and finally chose to pretend he did not know Madara was an Uchiha.

Squeezing out a smile, he greeted Madara with feigned ease.

“Hi, we meet again!”

Madara turned his head and saw it was Hashirama.

A trace of surprise flashed in his eyes.

The corners of his mouth lifted slightly, revealing a brilliant smile.

“Yeah, what a coincidence!”

This was their third meeting.

Each encounter brought the distance between them closer, as though an invisible force was pulling them together.

The two looked at each other and smiled, and a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere filled the air.

Without family disputes, without the smoke of war, at this moment, they were only two simple youths.

“How about a spar?” Hashirama suggested, excitement shining in his eyes.

Madara gladly agreed.

“Exactly what I wanted!”

Before the words had even fallen, the two had already taken their stances and instantly entered battle mode.

This was an intense taijutsu contest.

Their movements were agile and powerful, every move filled with strength and skill.

Madara was surprised to discover that Hashirama could actually fight him evenly in taijutsu, and the competitive spirit in his heart was completely aroused.

They moved and shifted across the grass by the river, fists and kicks crossing, stirring up bursts of dust.

Sweat soaked their clothes, but their eyes remained firm and focused.
